Cassidy smiled as she glanced out across the Great Hall; the students laughing and joking as they ate. She grinned as it brought back memories of her youth and her seven years spent at Hogwarts. She was glad to be back.
Hogwarts was different now and the large plaques on the walls containing the ministry's rules attested to that fact. The though made her frown; the war was becoming even more dangerous and stretching it's reach to every corner of Britain. The thought terrified her. She ahd left a Britain teetering and she returned now to find her crumbled.
She shook her head; the last thing she needed right now was to be in a bad mood. She smirked as she remembered one friend's advice. "Remember not everyone is a s cynical as you. Don't yell at them"
Still she hadn't known how much she'd missed it's hallowed halls until this day on this very morning. She chuckled slightly to herself as she watched her a girl get angry with her boyfriend; she thought about breaking it up but decided against it. She was too tired-despite her good mood-to play hall moniter today. She smirked at her own laziness. She really was going to be a deplorable teacher.

Bree had, once again, been the first teacher at the Staff Table. This was nothing new as she always woke up early, never neglecting her training, even after leaving the Quidditch profession to teach. So there she sat, drinking tea this morning, and watched the hall fill up. It was a heart warming exeprience to watch the children be childern and it kept a smile on her face for all of breakfast.
There was something new this morning, someone new, who was walking up towards the Staff Table. She was clearly not a student, being too tall and elegant for it even be supposed. Bree watched her over the rim of her cup with curious delight, a new teacher? Fantastic!
Bree smiled at her warmly as the new teacher approached the table. She picked up another cup and said as only Bree could, warm, friendly, enduring, "could I interest you in cup of tea?" She filled her own cup and watched the teacher. Bree loved seeing all the new faces around Hogwarts. If they weren't teachers, they worked for the ministry and Bree didn't even mind them. All it meant was there were more people to befriend and more days to brighten.

She glanced over at the witch who had just spoken, "Tea would be lovely, thank you," she replied with a smile. The girl was certainly chipper. She oddly reminded her of someone familiar, though she didn't know why. None of her Hogwarts friends were so happy as to actually offer a new girl some tear...not to mention she kept in touch with all of her Hogwarts friend's.
"You're certainly in a chipper mood this morning," she said with a smirk as she picked up her glass and drank a bit of tea. "I never was a morning person, always my least favorite part of the day. It meant I actually had to do something." She said laughing. "I think I'm going to enjoy them hear though, I love that I get to pass on my experience and knowledge to these younger folks."
She looked at thw witch once more, analysing her appearance. "Flying instructor I'm assuming," she said with a smirk as she recognized the witch to be Brianna O'Donnell: ex professional quidditch player. "So this is where you ended up eh?"

Bree grinned proudly as she was granted the opportunity to pour a cup of tea for the new lady. Bree enjoyed having company and always was willing to share of her pot to get it. As she pushed the cup towards the new comer she grinned and replied, "I'm always chipper, don't you know," and after a brief hesitation she added with a giggle, "no, I guess you wouldn't."
Bree laughed heartily and sipped her tea. It was a good day for tea, she thought, and this certainly proved it. Good things always happened to her when she started them off with tea instead of say coffee or her usual Firewhiskey. "Indeed, that is the very reason I am here," she commented. Her flying and quidditch experiences made her more then qualified to teach the students about flying and she was proud to do it.
When the new comer guessed that she was the flying instructor, Bree was taken aback, her expression clearly showing this. Confused, she asked, "did you ever watch me play quidditch? Is that how you know me?" It was very innocently asked and she hoped it would be innocently received. "Indeed," she said, looking around, "Hogwarts is home as much as home is." Her answer was ambiguous but it's meanings were clear. "And who are you? If I may be so bold, I do not recognise you from any quidditch teams, magazines or newspapers." She shot the lady a cheeky, playful smile.

Cassidy raised an eyebrow as the witch giggled. "Indeed," she said with little enthusiasm. She had never known anyone so cheerful in her life. She didn't know why but it was lsightly unnerving.
"I was a big quidditch fan, I played chaser when I was younger." She said with a light grin remembering the feeling of soaring through the air at unknown speeds as the wind rushed through you. "Before I left Britain I watched every game I could and listened to the ones I couldn't on the WWN."
"I'm Cassidy Gainnes and unless you read any Ancient Runes magazines you won't have heard about me," she said with a slight chuckle. "I spent the last few years travelling the world and studying Ancient Runes and history."

"I'm glad to hear that," Bree said; another quidditch fan in the staff was bound to be fun. "I was never much for chasing," Bree said absently stirring her tea, "beating has always been my forte hence I played that position for over ten years. Quidditch has become, you can say, my whole life and a rather odd obsession." She sipped her tea and looked to the new teacher.
Ancient Runes, is it? How fascinating? she though. "Well, Cassidy Gainnes," she said the lady's name pointedly, "I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of reading an Ancient Runes magazine. I'm more interested in tabloids," she admitted, "helps me keep a track on my old team mates because they're always making headlines."
She laughed as she remembered something. She set her cup down and said, "for example, last week, my old counter part Beater was arrested for drunken disorder and her escaped by flashing the muggle police woman his manly parts." She laughed and she took a bite of her porridges. He had always been a character and the one thing you could always trust him to do is something that would land him on the front page of ever tabloid.
