Loren gave a wheezy breath as she was dragged from under Professor Hubbles by Boggleworth, the man having knocked the wind from her as she had pulled her and Dax to the ground in an attempt to pin them down. I liked it better when he was stepping on my toes! she thought woefully as Boggleworth flung her toward the doors once more. Nearly everyone in the Great Hall had left what they were doing to come stand in a great circle around the battle, some shouting angrily that their ball had been ruined, but the males mostly enthralled that they no longer had to dance.
The Ravenclaw was all for running to save her own skin, but she was stopped as she saw Boggleworth and Dax sprawled on the floor, defenseless, with Professor Hubbles cracking his neck in preparation of executing his revenge. Loren knew she could not just run and leave them to be hexed back to their dorms by their head of house - they had gone against their own in Loren's name, after all.
'Professor, no!' Loren shouted furiously, hitching up her ridiculously long dress, kicking off her heels, and running full speed toward Professor Hubbles. Merlin, this is madness! she thought as she squeezed her eyes shut, crashing into Professor Hubbles front so hard that the two of them were sent skidding several metres along the polished floor.
From this distance Loren could see just how bad the stain was. No wonder he's angry - that'll never come out.

Dan felt another person join the brawl, and not to his surprise it was Boggleworth. Suddenly a loud of cold water was thrown in his face, blinding him for a moment. He could feel the anger building up inside of him, but Dan truly did not want to hurt a Hufflepuff. Pushing Boggleworth away he focused on trying to find Loren, only to be dragged down by Dax. Breaking free of the boy he was just standing on his feet when once more Boggleworth came stumbling into the picture, and rather fortunately landed on top of Dax. Dan managed to give a small smile as he looked around for Loren.
However she was a lot closer then he first thought. In fact she was barging into him and was now on top of him as they skidded across the floor. Once he had finally stopped spinning Dan tried to catch his breath and his bearings. Sitting up he looked to see where Loren had gone to only to see her lying a few feet away from him.
“I warned you Miss Hayes. You will now be facing serious punishment.”
Dan pushed himself up off the ground, trying to brush off the dust while his head was spinning. He was seeing two of everything and was not sure which of the two Loren’s was the real one.
“You should never attack a teacher.”
There were now three of her. His eyes where losing focus and the sounds of the voices around him became very muffled. The alcohol and spinning was taking its toll on him. Wavering where he stood Dan looked form Loren, to Loren to Loren making sure that at least at some point he was looking at the real one.

Stumbling to his feet once again he helped Dax to his feet seeing that Loren could take care of matters by bowling over the unfortunate Professor, who would probably be nursing a few cuts and bruises come the morning. Grinning from the exhilaration and adrenaline rush he strode forwards brushing aside a gang of Slytherins "watch yourself," he cautioned half expected them to hex him on the spot.
Standing defensively once more in front of Loren he beckoned for Dax to take her away, believing it Dax's place to offer words of comfort rather than his. "Are you alright sir?" He asked worriedly seeing the far off and bewildered expression upon the man's face. Crouching next to him he asked "how many fingures am I holding up?" Holding up just three he wondered upon the answer he would be supplied with, and hoped to God the drunk man wouldn't be sick over his best robes...

As Bog helped Dax up he could not help but join his fellow Hufflepuff and grin as Loren ran into the Professor taking him out. Suddenly feeling rather proud he looked around at people laughing. “That is my girlfriend. That is my girlfriend…Merlin how did I get her.”
He would have skipped over to be by the side of Loren however he knew skipping was not a very manly thing to do but also his right leg was killing him. Hobbling over he placed his arm around Loren’s waist and whispered gently in her ear.
“Come on, I think it is time we made an exit from the party. We have caused enough havoc as it is.”
Dax began to slowly lead Loren away, although he did have a look over his shoulder to see Bog trying to look after the Professor who did seem as if he was about to empty the contents of his stomach. With a laugh Dax and Loren walked out through the grand doors leaving the commotion behind them.

Quinn walked up the front stairs and heard shattering, of what she did not know but that hardly changed anything. She stormed into the Entrance Hall of Hogwarts Castle in time to see a couple, looking dreadfully frightened, running out of the castle, passed her.
Seeing the panic in their eyes, Quinn drew her wand. Watching them disappear into the distance, she turned and continued towards a large crowd she now saw, huddling outside the Great Hall. This was clearly not right: the Ball was meant to be inside The Great Hall, not out of it.
She pushed her way into the centre of the gathering and looked around questioningly, her wand at her side. Upon seeing an older gentleman and a younger one in the centre and a pair of abandonded shoes, she promptly walked farther into the circle and called out in a strong, confident and sturdy voice, "who here has the wit or propriety to tell me what in Merlin's name is going on here?" As she spoke she turned around, looking at everyone expectantly.

Ian grinned, slipping off his seat and leading her over to stand just off the middle, his awkward robes looking somewhat subdued on the dancefloor. Closing his hand over hers, Ian smirked and looked briefly around. "Now lets see," he studied a boisterous dancing couple, and looked a bit pale. "Sorry if we'll have to do something quite plain in comparison." Letting a shy hand linger on her waist, he slowly began to lead the dance, looking at other couples for reference. Feeling a bit more confident, he smiled challengingly at her and leaned in a bit. "So, who do you think will cause you the most trouble winning this tournament? Slytherin might cheat, eh?"
Jac smiled at Ian as he led her to the dance floor. Jac did not much care for dancing so was quite relieved when Ian said that theirs' would be nothing fancy. She nodded in agreement and let Ian led her in their little dance. Jac also looked at the other couples and was pleased that her lateness had not halted any proceedings. Jac felt Ian's hand on her waist and began to like that feeling. She looked at Ian, her eyes turning a sparking sky blue. And when Ian brought up the subject of her competitors, Jac simply smiled. "Indeed, Zachary will do his level best to upstage us all," she giggled slightly, "but he won't be any trouble for me. Loren, I'm sure, will give me a run for my money but Girty," Jac laughed and looked down (not really knowing where to look), "she has talent she hides from us all and she'll be the one to test me the most." Jac looked up now into Ian's eyes. "And what do you think of the competition? Who do you think will cause me the most trouble?" Jac had always gotten the impression that Ian felt ... strongly for Loren but had no reason to question him on it. She hoped that his answer would shed a little light on this matter and not leave more questions.

Scott walked into the Great Hall wearing a suit with one of his skatboarding shirts under. He didn't care what people thought about him and decided to go as himself. He walked around, hands in his pocket, with a smug look on his face.
Scott was bored already so he decided to talk to the nearest person, which, to his luck, was a ravenclaw girl. He sat down beside her and sighed, looking around with a smile. He turned to the Ravenclaw Girl and spoke, "Hey," he simply said. "Doesn't seem like a fun party does it?" he asked, trying to make convo.

Lidia got tired of waiting for Trenton. She stood up, not really wanting to leave, and started for the door. It would have been wonderful just to have one dance. When she got halfway to the door she stopped and realized she wasn't going to leave. Lidia was about to walk up to the nearest guy and ask him to dance. Instead, she just sat back down and waited for someone to come and ask her.

Adam started to head for the door when he saw a rather pretty Slytherin girl sitting by herself. She looked like she was waiting for someone to ask her to dance. Adam walked over to the girl and gave a short but formal bow. "Good evening milady, may I enquire as to your name?" he asked formally as he straightened up.

Ella put down her glass of punch and looked around. Well...nothing too exciting. She hated being new. Not knowing anybody. Might as well skip out. She thought picking up her dress just atad so the bottom would lift and not drag the floor. She thought maybe she could write her parents, by the time her owl got there they'd think she would have just stayed at the ball the whole time. So she started thinking of the lies she should had to tell them in her head, she could tell them she met tons of people and danced the night away! The way they expected their 'darling' daughter to do, and lift their high Malfoy pride even higher. She started to make her way across the ballroom.

Scott looked around and wondered to himself why everyone was so keen to leave already. He looked at the girl next to him, "I'll be right back," he said with a smile.
He stood up and walked in front of the Slytherin girl, "Um, hey," he said putting his hands in his pockets. "Question, why are you leaving so soon?" he asked, thinking of how dumb he sounded. "I mean, this is a dance and people are supposed to be having fun, and you look like you're doing the opposite."

As everything eventually started to become somewhat normal once again Boggleworth resignedly shook the Professor once more, but received no response. Standing once again Boggleworth looked around curiously as a voice of authority spoke out, looking her up and down in a calculating manor Boggleworth frowned, she was most assuredly no teacher, or unlike any they had ever had. Simply the mannerisms and the way she spoke clearly showed this to his eye. Unless he was mistaken she could be a Ministry official and with that attitude one holding authority.
Bowing he answered her question in calm but cold voice "I believe I may fit the bill, a simple disagreement that nobody need worry about." Already people sidled back somewhat dismayed as the action died down. Lad's especially seemed eager to stay but some were dragged forcefully back to the dancefloor; kicking and screaming all the way.
"Might I enquire as to who I have the privelage of speaking to?" He asked emphasising his own speech so as to show the lack of status between them; though he offered her the respect she deserved nonetheless. He had learned the hard way not to make enemies of all those he became aquainted with. But something about her manner unsettled him.

Quinn looked around expectantly, thinking, "God! Why the Ministry would think anyone would want anything to do with these stupid children is totally beyond me." The little ... children just stared at her as though she had spoken German. She grimaced to herself and thought, "maybe I should try German."
However, just as she opened her mouth to try the German, a tall scrawny lad began to speak. His insolence was transparent and she saw through his pitiful charm, thinking he had something he was hiding. This was one of the very many reasons Quinn was married to her job and would never had children, impudent and selfish.
As the crowd began to become restless she could see that only this ... boy and the seemingly drunk man knew something. Ignoring his question, she looked around at all the surprised faces. "I want everyone back in the Great Hall, now," she said, expecting to be obeyed, "except you two." She pointed from the boy to the teacher with her wand.
"You," she indicated the boy, "are you aware what has just happened here? A teacher- I assume- has attacked students and is clearly drunk. I do not think you capable of 'fitting the bill'. You are, what, fourteen years old; you couldn't possibly understand the severity of this situation."

Boggleworth smirked as the usual Ministry authority took over, they were always so domineering and arrogant to say the very least. Though he didn't offer much respect to many of his teachers here at Hogwarts, he did have the highest respect for Professor Hubbles; he was a great man and a fabulous effective teacher. Charms lessons were actually fun with him at the helm.
Boggleworth's disdain and utter hatred of the Ministry must have been plain to see as the ministry official began throwing her weight around, treating him as mere dirt under her feet; only of little value due to his knowledge of what happened here. That was his one advantage he had in this situation and his natural gift of oration wasn't too shabby either.
His detestation of the Ministry was plain and so he had no qualms whatsoever in standing up to them as he had done before. But he needed to choose his moment exceptionally carefully. Acting rebellious too early would prove his undoing if he wasn't careful and he wouldn't achieve his ultimate goal of spreading disorder throghout the corrupted and power hungry Ministry; he needed followers and for people to believe half as strongly as he did.
Putting on his best smile he bowed once more low acquesing to her request that he stay behind. Dragging their feet the onlookers grumbled execrations towards the damned Ministry officials but most wandered back into the hall.
"19 in fact," he corrected her with a glimmer of a grin, "I believe I understand the situation rather well; being in the thick of it as it were. Though the situation wasn't grave at all, why would anybody presume the worst of a teacher?" He asked innocently refraining from batting his eyelashs. He was at least one thing; loyal to his friends. "I doubt he's even tipsy in fact," he prayed to God somebody would have the thinking to rouse the professor or else for him to stagger up himself whilst he distracted her.
He smiled and continued with a wry grin "twas nothing of any consequence, nothing for the all important Ministry to fret over...I've heard there's a number of dangerous criminals about of late, how goes the search for them?" He asked delaying time and hoping most fervently that Hubbles would escape their enquiries and get away with it all.
