Normally Alondra was one of those students to come in late or not come at all. She could go without a meal and she often did. In the past few months she had grown very shy. She wasn't like she used to be when she was with Kandler. Everything was different to her.
In her eyes she saw something other than what everyone else saw. The light of day was dimmed just a bit and the night seemed to glow a blue solemn color. It was all quiet, or muffled, ran together. This was partly because she blocked out much of the world around her. She shut herself to those who she used to love and cherish.
Her striking blue eyes scanned the empty hall. Today was a little different than the others. She was early. In fact, she was about an hour too early for dinner and she wasn't exactly sure why. Her watch was off it seemed. It read a different time than the one in the Great hall. Never a punctual person, she wondered if it wouldn't be just fine to turn around and go back to the dorms.
The place was empty, there was no class or tables, just a long walk of tile and flooring and a sky like the one outside. What would she possibly do in here?
Alondra stood there for just a moment before she stepped in slowly, pulling the heavy door behind her. She shut it so she did not make a sound, though she was unsuccessful, no one came.

Always wishing to arrive promptly for dinner, thinking it the second most important meal of the day, Professor Darrow walked slowly ever downwards, taking his time and not minding where he walked, in fact his feet automatically took him the shortest route possible.Musing over the effectiveness of his role of Headteacher at the school he pondered over how his arrival had been taken; not that he regretted taking on the job in any way. The pupils were just so different, this new life would take some adjusting to. Reaching into his robe pocket for his ancient pipe he found it vacant; a good job as he really needed to quit the terrible curse. Having rifled through mountain of paperworj this morning, and to be overseeing a lesson in the afternoon, he now believed he deserved a through rest. Perhaps with any luck he would meet a student, though most should have been soldiering away at a lesson at this hour.
Arriving at the entrance he whisked out his wand flicked for entrance and the doors flung wide open; making a small squeak as the hinges needed oiling; something the houselves would most assuredly counter soon. Such goodly creatures he thought with a touch of pity, that their lot in life was to serve humans was a double edged blade; sometimes their masters were kind, but most were mean and treated them abominably as mere slaves. Tuttingg under his breath he was surprised to encounter a lone student stood in the very place he had wished to seek solitude; perhaps she wished the same. Calling a friendly greeting he summoned across two comfy chairs for them to sit upon. "Good day to you," he uttered with a warm smile, "I believe all lessons are on today are they not?" He asked with a knowing smile "no matter it seems by your apparel and being situated here that you are lost, whether in mind or body you shall be the judge. May I be of service?" He asked nodding his head curtly then taking his seat, meanwhile gesturing for her to take hers too. "Some refreshments perhaps?" He asked clicking his fingers knowing the ever prepared House Elves would already have a little something prepared. Immediately in a puff of satisfyingly effective smoke, a round table appeared filled to the brim with nearly every food imaginable. "Do tuck in." he stated with a quick glance at the ceiling; as he expected a rather bland day.

The last thing that Alondra expected was for the headmaster himself to come into the room. The door to the great hall flung open swiftly bringing a gust of air she could feel making the hairs stand on the back of her neck. It was all a surprise to her and she was sure of a detention or something of the sort.
"I have not a lesson two hours before dinner time." She told him innocently, and it was true. She had no lessons before this but perhaps a few in the morning and one in the afternoon.
"I'm not lost though...I...my watch is messed up, and I lost track of time and just happened to get here at the wrong time..."
Her voice trailed off as things began to appear, first two chairs and then a table full of things. What in the world was he doing? Perhaps indulging in a little bit of a meal with a student before dinner? It seemed unlikely, but then again she did not really know this man all too well. She knew very little of her professors very well.
"I...um..." She gulped down the actual wanting to sit down and said instead, "I'm sorry...don't waste anything on me. I'm just about to go back to the common room and wait for the real time to leave..."

The girl was clearly agitated, perhaps a guilty conciense made her act like she'd was breaking laws or rather more likely, she was nervous upon meeting the Headmaster; not the easiest of people to talk with ease to. He smiled reassuringly "my dear girl, food is never wasted upon anyone, thoguh I advise not to divulge yourself too deeply and develop a portly stomach such as I myself sport," in fact he was a rather trim figure barely a pound overweight for his height and age.
"Why not eat now my girl? Finish off before the crowds arrive, as they most assuredly will soon, the one time students are in a rush to get somewhere is during break times, or else a trip up to Hogsmeade I don't doubt." Not eating himself he simply sat leasurely upon a seat he had conjured forth, several appearing clustered around.
Gesturing for his student to be seated he enquired "how goes the old studying then? Faring well during lessons I hope?" Being a naturally curious and heartily cheerful man when not harassed night and day by severely troubled pupils he added "I've heard nothing of you which is a good sign. I do declare that the crying shame of this day and age is my only hearing and viewing the troublesome pupils. I'm so rarely told of good behaviour," having been admiring the view throuighout the window with a distant look in his eye, he turned to his pupil remarking "but don't listen to an old man's ramblings get munching." Settling back into his chair he gazed once more up at the ceiling his mind instantly being removed elsewhere and pondering upon the numerous problems at the school.

Adam, stomach rumbling made his way to the Great Hall for dinner. He probably shouldn't have worn his good clothes today (white shirt, and soft black pants tucked into black suede, knee-high boots) but oh well. So what if he liked dressing up? He entered the Great Hall with a smile on his face and a song on his lips... "Sing once again with me A strange duet My power over you Grows stronger yet And though you'll turn from me To glance behind The phantom of the opera Is there Inside your mind..." he sang softly to himself as he entered the hall. Adam looked up, surprised to see that the Great Hall was currently occupied by a Slytherin girl, and no other than the Headmaster himself. "Ah, Professor Darrow. How nice to meet you sir!" He greeted Proffesor Darrow with a sincere smile and gave a small wave to the Slytherin.
