Charles stepped into the great hall, a strong sneer creeping across his face. They all chuckle, they all smile. Only if I could make them all disappear. he thought angrily. And then, from across the room he heard a laugh. No... not just any laugh he corrected himself HER laugh his electric blue eyes scanned the Great Hall with a growing hunger deep inside his heart. THen he saw her. Ariane's dark hair shining with a soft halow and talking aimiably with other Hufflepuff. Charles's eyes lit up with a unusual happiness. He started to walk over to her, with long quick stride's that became more and more urgent. He bumped into a boy, then shoved him into the wall.
"Stupid people can't you see I'm trying to get somewhere?!" he said angrily.

Ariane looked over to where the commotion was and her heart constricted with fear. She gripped her wand instinctivley and excused herself from the table and from the small group of people. She walked towards Charles with a heavy heart. "I thought I told you to stay away." she said. " I thought I told you to stay out of the room that I was in."
Charles attempted to say something but Ariane held up her hand "Don't Charles." she said angrily "We've been through all of the if's and or's and the but's. THere's nothing left that you can say." she saw the deep anger bubbelling in his eyes.

Dean's eyes wandered over the crowd of people eating and his eyes were drawen towards Ariane. He stood up suddenly and ran as fast as he could over to them, not before they both had their wands drawen though. HE watched with growing worry, Ariane and Charles circeling each other.

Charles pulled out his wand "Then I'll have to persuade you otherwise" he said, a shiver of a deathly threat hidden deep inside his words. HE steadied his body and watched carefully for any teachers. "Stupefy" he yelled.

Ariane just barely jumped out of the way as the spell whizzed by and caught the hem of her robes. "I don't want to fight you Charles!" she said softly. Another spell came dangerously close to her head so she readied herself. "Petrificus Totallus!" she bellowed. But you're not leaving me much of a choice

Charles dived out of the way "There's one other choice Air. And you know it." he said 'Just take me back."
He raised his wand and smield evily. She won't be able to say no. he thought. "Expelliarmus!" he muttered.

Ariane ducked , but not fast enough. She flew back into the wall with a loud *crack*. She staggered to her feet. "Cheap shot" she muttered. Wanna play like that pretty boy?! she thought, anger running through every vein in her body.
"If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times. NO!" and she shot the first spell that came to her mind "Levicorpus!" . She felt a warm trickle of blood down her forhead and across her mouth.

Charles' heart bent with pain when he saw her hit the wall with such force and the tile crack on her head. But she continued as if she didn't notice. He was caught off guard when she shot a spell at him. He was suddenly swept off his feet and hanging in mid-air and there was no quite a group of spectators.

Dean pushed his way though the small cluster of people and walked over to Ariane "Are you mentally retarded?!" he said angrily. He saw the blood trickelling down her face and all anger at her disappeared but was replaced with a need to hurt Charles. "You bloody coward" he turned to Charles and pulled out his wand "You horrible, dispicable person. You don't get it do you?! SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU ANY MORE LEAVE HER ALONE" he pointed his wand towards Charles.

Dan was happily walking down the steps to grab a quick bite to eat before his lesson, when he heard the shouts and cheers that could only come from students watching something fun. Pushing through the crowds Dan noticed that it was a Hufflepuff, who he knew as Ariane and a Slytherin he had never seen before. Waiting to see what was going to happen a Gryffindor boy interrupted and started shouting. With a loud groan, Dan pushed through the last few rows and stood in the middle of the duelling area.
“What in Merlin’s name is going on!” His voice echoed around the hall and he noticed that many of the crowd ran off in different directions. With a small growl he looked from the Slytherin to the Hufflepuff and then with a deep breath Dan moved forward picking the Gryffindor out form the crowd and took his wand off him. Signalling to the other two he wanted them to join him and hand over there wands as well.

Dean sighed with submission At least someone interveined before I got my hands on him. he glared daggers at Charles and used whatever self restraint he hand left to stop himself from launchinh towards Charles. He walked over towards Ariane, ignoring the teacher and held her head "Are you okay?" he held up five fingers "How many fingers?" he asked, watching her pupils carefully.

Ariane opened her mouth to speak and she tasted the iron tang of her blood "Five" she said softly and pulled her head from Dean's grasp. I must've hit my head she thought dis-jointedly. SHe walked clumsely over to the Professer and gave him her wand, she was suddenly hit by a massive wave of nausea"If you don't mind Professer, I'm about to faint, could you catch me?" and she passed out cold .

Taking hold of the wand from the Hufflepuff Dan waited for the Slytherin to hand over his as well. Looking around at the wall where clearly the girl had hit he saw a crowd was still surrounding them. Looking to the ground Dan took a deep breath and made sure his voice could be heard all around the entrance hall and even up the stairs.
“When I look up I do not want to see anyone standing here apart from these three. I will give you 10 seconds. 10…9…8” The sound of feet and groans rang out as the crowds dispersed around them. “7…6…5…” Dan continued to count as the footsteps began to become fainter.
With a small smile Dan looked up just in time to see the girl next to him faint. His smile finished quickly as he glanced over at the Gryffindor then back at the girl who was lying on the floor. Crouching down beside of her Dan turned her over and made sure she was lying in a comfortable position. His gaze then fell upon the Gryffindor and Slytherin, anger flooding trough him.
“Will one of you please tell me what the hell this is all about!”

"Sir, it was Charles' fault" Dean started, although with his reputation he didn't think that that peticular excuse would mean anything to anyone. "He attacked my sister" and he tried to keep the anger hidden deep in his voice. He watched as Charles struggled to get right side up again "Sir, you'll have to use the counter-curse on him." he added.

Dan looked over that the Gryffindor, he was having none of the excuses. However he did notice that the Slytherin had not joined them and when the Gryffindor mention that Charles need the counter curse he looked up to see him hanging by his ankles. A flash of confusion filled Dan’s face, ‘How had he missed that?’
With a flick of his wand Dan watched as the Slytherin feel to the floor with a bump, and waited for him to join them. With a deep breath he looked over at Dean.
“So Mr Winchester. Your blaming this young man, when you also had your wand drawn? Why was he attacking Miss Winchester in the first place?”
Fights over who fancied who was not what Dan had the time for, but as a teacher he had to sort it out. Particularly has he had an unconscious pupil, a rather loud mouthed Gryffindor and a silent Slytherin.
