Plot & Thread Summaries

To help other Ridd members know what is going on in each other’s plots and social circles, you can use this thread to create a summary of any threads you think are important.

These summaries don’t have to be soley major events such as death, but could be two characters becoming friends or enemies, injuries gained in the Forbidden Forest, the discovery of magical artefacts, baddies hiding in Hogwarts, Animagus forms revealed etc. Mainly this is to help the Big Plot, but you can include anything you’d like people to know basically, even if it’s just to strengthen your characters' backgrounds.

(This plot was originally between Ian Gray and Loren Hayes, but since they’ve fallen out of use we’ve passed it on to Sheba Snow and Edward Niven, whom are currently being introduced to Felix the Griffin in ‘Cryptic’, which I’ll summarise when it’s done.)

In Darkness Unseen: Both sneaking around the kitchens at night when they shouldn’t be, Ian Gray and Loren Hayes meet for the first time. Suspecting they are being followed, the two of them discover a house elf passage in which to hide in. Whilst looking for an alternative exist, Ian and Loren run into Deek Henshaw, a rogue and a thief. To their surprise Deek leaves the two of them unharmed, and they soon find why he had been in the tunnel in the first place: they come into a long, cavernous room deep underground, the walls lined with massive, identically carved fireplaces burning with fake fire. A Griffin is chained up in the room, but only appears to be guarding one thing: an ancient, rusted key. Trying to take the key, the Griffin attacks them, but they soon subdue it and decide that a windowless tomb is no place for a Griffin, and take it upon themselves to find out what is going on.

A Griffin Grotto: Ian Gray and Loren Hayes smuggle the reluctant Griffin (whom Loren has now named Felix) into the Room of Requirement, where the Room provides them with treasure for Felix to guard. While examining the room’s precious contents and discussing their situation – along with the mysterious key Felix was guarding – Ian spots an eerie mass of thick darkness swelling over the centre of the Forbidden Forest, although they are unsure what it is, only that it means trouble.

Scavenger Hunt: While on the run from ministry officials in the Forbidden Forest, Ian Gray and Loren Hayes are dragged by the trees into a mysterious underground tunnel, one that leads to seven doors in a circular room – one emitting eerie music, another brilliant white light, another scorching heat, and all locked. Not wanting to examine the others – and deciding that Dark and ancient magic is at play – Ian and Loren turn back and escape through an eighth door, taking them back to their friends. It occurs to them later that Felix’s key might have some purpose now.

'The Fat Lady'

Harrison Greg and Effie Howard

Summary: The Understandably Lazy Edition
A moving staircase brings Effie to the Gryffindor common room entrance, where she finds Harrison escaping a group of fifth year fans. She gets yanked down a few staircases, stopping near a statue of Martha the Merry. Leaning into the free hand of the statue, Effie is thrown into a passageway with Harrison. Realising they can't get back the way they came, they make their way down the passage.

Eventually they come across a suit of armour, which attacks. After various attempts of stopping it, Harrison casts a freezing charm on the sword - the core of the knight's enchantment. They escape, continuing down the passage, after a while finding seven masks attached to the wall. They realise by wearing the mask you get transported within portraits in various rooms. Four lead to the house common rooms, another to the Great Hall and one they didn't try.

Harrison uses the central black mask, and is blasted out of the unknown room he is taken to. He begins to act very strangely, and after numerous outbursts, Effie manages to bring him back to normality. They leave the masks immediately, and reach a dead end like at the start. A force pulls them both out into the corridor where they originally began.

Summary: The Ridiculously Lazy Edition
They find masks that act as transporters to specific places in (and presumely out) of the castle.

This is a little plot between, Mark, Maxi and Ashton

Out Past Curfew
It would seem Maxi is taking his prefect duties too seriously and forgetting about those he cares for. He believes in what he is doing perhaps just a little too much and is slowly pushing away others.

Late one night, Maxi was doing his prefect rounds and everything was going well. That was until he heard a loud humming noise and someone shouting. He figured tonight wouldnt be a lazy one. When he got closer to who it was he realised it was his rebellious friend Mark.

Maxi didnt really want to give Mark a detention, nor did he want to take points from his own house but it seemed as though Mark wanted him too. The two argued for a while, feelings being dragged up and color=Red]Maxi

[/color] got irritated. In the end of this thread, Mark and Maxi's long friendship was ended.

Perfect Day, Maybe
Maxi was out walking through the grounds on a very sunny day, going through things that had happened when he walked into someone. He was about to apologize when he saw who it was, though instead found himself adopting a cold manner.

He had walked right into Ashton, the one person who he really didnt want to see. Ashton made a jab at him about commoners and Maxi found offence to it, retaliating as best he could. However, he found everything he said hurt him just that tiny bit more and he was feeling guilty about what he was saying to Ashton, though at first, it didnt seem Ashton cared.

The two of them argued for a long while until Ashton finally asked him what had happened. The question Maxi had not yet wished to answer. Though faced with this dillemma he told him the truth. Maxi no longer loved Ashton and he felt it unfair to continue. This broke Ashton, he pleaded with Maxi to tell him it wasnt true, but he couldnt, because it was true. Ashton left Maxi stood alone, feeling guiltier than ever.

[Professor Daniel Hubbles]

Two worlds collided!

This was when Dan and Dia first met and it just so happened to be the first day of a new school year. Dia had just arrived back in the castle from her holiday and was trying to relax in the staff room when first of all Professor Mikkel Delling turned up and he was quickly followed by Professor Daniel Hubbles. Dia seemed to be enraptured by Delling, he was more civil kissing her hand and introducing himself properly when Dan winked at her and shot her a cheesy grin.
They disgust about their pasts and how they ended up in the castle but nothing more, Dan had work to do and Dia needed rest after her long journey.

Dan arrived to the meal that evening a while after many other staff members, the table was pretty full and Bree was handing out cups of tea when Dan and Dia’s eyes met once more. Dia stood up and moved to sit by Dan were a very slow conversation occurred about different types of tea.
Dan was tongue tied as was Dia and even when they moved onto Dan’s favourite topic (his sister Girty Hubbles) they still had very little to say to one another, however they were both in agreement that the other was good looking. There conversation was cut short by the out break of a food fight which Dan rather quickly joined in with.

It was late at night and both the Professors had work to be done, and both need a pick me up and the evening most definitely did not go how they first thought it would. Once again their conversations centred around different types of tea, and after her second cup Dia decided to go and finish off her marking, but Danwould not allow that. Professor Hubbles jumped to his feet and almost begged Professor Owen to stay a little bit longer, mainly by using the temptation of a glass of red wine.
They soon found themselves dancing together on the Kitchen tables, staring dreamingly into each others eyes, they would occasionally pass the odd comment to each other but then they hit a topic that turned out to be high risk area. Relationships! Dan started to defend himself and his many one night stands, while Dia seemed to find the whole idea of Dan having a different woman for everyday of the week disgusting and went as far to say that his relationships last as long as he could hide who he was.
The two were at logger heads and with their argument raging Dan felt like proving his point that he was irresistible and cut Dia off by kissing her. Unsurprisingly Dia gave Dan a nice hard slap but quickly made up for it by kissing him back. Both were surprised by the others actions and within the blink of an eye Dan Hubbles was defeated, he had been beaten at his own game by Dia Owen, he was going to expect defeat and walk away before an idea came to him or more the want to get to know Dia even better.
Soon more red wine had been consumed, they had talked some more, tasted each others lips and danced around the kitchens once again until weariness started to creep up on them and the dreaded thoughts of the piles of marking that was still upon their desks. So at last they bid each other goodbye, not knowing that the next time that they would met would be once again totally different circumstances.

Dan was on patrol that fateful day when he bumped into on of his Hufflepuff’s, Ariane Winchester in the corridors. They were soon joined by Andie Riley and then eventually by the one and only Loren Hayes. For those who do not know, Loren and Dan do not get along to the point that they were both willing to kill each other. Which is what they almost did, Loren enraged Dan to a point where he picked her up and almost threw her down the stairwell before common sense overpowered him. However wanting revenge Loren used SECTUMSEMPRA he fell to the floor like a rag doll, his white shirt turning red and the people around him doing nothing.
It was however then when his guardian angel appeared, Dia Owen had been told about a commotion on the seventh floor and it was thanks to her cool head that Dan eventully got to the Hospital Wing. (There was a slight hold up when Andie Riley decided to confess her love to Dan while heading down. Dia had to stop and tell Andie that it was a rather silly thing to confess to in her presence.)

After the attack Dia led the floating body of Dan, Andie and Loren to the Hospital Wing. The healer was no where to be seen and Dia started to work on Dan herself trying to stop the amount of blood he was losing. More people turned up, Dax Simmons in an attempt to comfort his girlfriend Loren and also Girty Hubbles who almost immediately started to shout at Andie and ordering her go and send an owl to her parents.
The headmaster soon turned up his basic healing training helped to slow the bleeding giving Dia time to change the bandages. Darrow then ordered everybody out and set Dia on duty to guard the door however she did not get very far when Dan called her back. It was when Dan was lying in what could have been his death bed did he finally realise how much of an amazing and beautiful woman Dia was and slowly he began to fall for her. Not even the presence of Mr and Mrs Hubbles could stop it from happening. He fought against his mother disapproval in between consciousness and all the while Dia was by his bed side holding his hand and whispering words of comfort to him. However for a while Dia found the presence of Mr and Mrs Hubbles and even Girty to be rather uncomfortable. She wanted to show Dan how much he meant to her but with his parents there she found it hard, although as the evening wore on and Dan slowly began to improve her worries and anxieties of them being there past as Dia started to show her true feelings for Dan.

Dan was out of hospital with the aid of a walking stick was hobbling around the grounds thinking about a certain astronomy teacher and it just happened that Dia was also out and about, thinking about Dan. They stand under a tree near the lake, the summer rain falling down upon them and without meaning to both of them ended up showing that they had feelings for the other. Dan was worried about Dia caring to much and him ending up hurting her, while Dia was angry at Dan for acting in such a way that got him in this mess. They both emotionally confused with mixed feelings of anger and concern. However memories from Dia’s past haunted her and she started to fight those feelings which was made particularly hard when Dan, a changed man after the accident, was not telling Dia what he knew she wanted to her, more what he wanted to tell her…the truth.
This confession that Dan could not stop thinking about her caught Dia out and the feelings she was trying to suppress slowly came out, admittedly in not a conventional way…she asked him what he was doing for the summer holidays. However Dan did not get her hint about him joining Dia on her holiday to Egypt so instead he pouted and turned his back on her. This angered Dia as Dan had not even answered her question so she stormed after him letting her opinion be know, it was only then did Dan realise that Dia was actually asking him to come with her. Hugging her and planting a light kiss on top of her head he excepted her offer and hand in hand they walked back to the castle, silent in their own private thoughts of the person beside them.

This holiday happened during the 6 week summer holidays and as a result no thread is present on the site. And it is staying that way *evil laugh*

Asleep at the breakfast table
The term had only just started and Dan for some reason was at the breakfast table far too early and had ended up falling asleep at the Staff table. Although he had been rudely awoken by Professor Fagin. (Dan’s drinking buddy) The duo laughed and joked together, that was until Dia Owen walked into the great hall. Rumours had spread about that fact that the two head of houses were in a relationship and all eyes seemed to be upon them and as she great him with a light kiss upon the top of his head and Dan kindly repaid this compliment by showing a little more affection and kissing her on the lips.
The couple then joked about how certain students seemed to be holding slight grudges about their relationship (A Gryffindor girl running out the room crying and a male Ravenclaw attacking his bacon with some aggression) and carried on joking about small inside jokes from their holiday in Egypt. It was then when thoughts past through both Dan and Dia’s mind that they were slowly falling for the other and it was then when Dan took the bold step of asking Dia to join him on a small weekend away. Dia at first started to choke on her tea believing it to be a very un-Dan Hubbles thing to do and merely expected it to be a drink in the Three Broomsticks and then a little bit of fun later on. However Dan had other things in mind, a weekend away in London. Dan was holding his breath for Dia to answer and luckily she agreed and he could breath once more. But old wounds soon came to the surface as Dia mentioned the name of Fitz Hargreaves. Dan all though noticed that Dia started to look uncomfortable about this topic, he carried on condemning the reporter not knowing of his and Dia’s past. But it seemed the mere mention of the man was enough to kill the moment and in a need to be alone with her thoughts Dia left the Great Hall leaving Dan believing that Dia still loved Fitz.

A few days has passed since Fitz name was brought up and Dan and Dia had been purposely avoiding each other. But today was the day it ended as Dan walked into the Staff Room and there was Dia sitting in the corner. In belief that Dia still loved Fitz Dan was prepared to tell Dia he was willing to step to one side and let them be together. Dia found this whole concept amusing and sat down upon Dia’s lap wrapping her arms around him. Dia reassured Dan that there was no one she would rather be sitting with and after a while of talking a date was set for their trip to London and Dan said those few words that he had been longing to say for a while. ‘I love you’ Luckily for Dan Dia responded by saying it back to him. The two then stared deeply into each others eyes just enjoying into each others company but the moment was rudely interrupted by the chimes of the clock in the corner and a sign that Dan had to go to lesson. With a quick kiss they promised to see each other that night and Dan left the room a lot happier then when he entered.

It was the closing week of school and Christmas was just around the corner. Dan and Dia had agreed to meet up in the Three Broomsticks to share some quality time together, they agreed to met down in the village after they had done their marking. Dan ended up being in Hogsmeade early so instead of sitting wait for Dia in the Three Broomsticks he went of a quick drink at the Hogshead.
As he entered the pub he saw a familiar witch in Quinn Locksley and ambled over towards her and the group of men she was drinking with, before they knew it they were having a drink game. At first it was only pride at stake but as the empty tankards and whisky glasses filled the table Dan threw the idea in that the winner gets to choose who around the table kisses who.

It seemed all but inevitable that with Quinn being the only female at the table she would be doing most of the kissing however everyone was evenly matched and in the end it was Dan who ended but kissing Quinn (on a number of occasions) and Catt. Alcohol fuelled Dan and Quinn for once started to get along…a little too well and when Quinn suggested they moved somewhere a little quieter Dan did not complain.

Set at the same time period as ‘Drinking game’ this is Dia’s side of the night, as she sat and waited in the Three Broomsticks…although not quite alone.
Girty Hubbles had over heard Dan mentioned he was going to be going for a drink with and Dia later that day as so in an effort to watch over her brother and make sure he did not do anything stupid Girty went to the Three Broomsticks and ordered herself a drink (or two) and sat at the bar talking to the locals. It was then when Jac Biggerstall turned up as she too was waiting for someone and like Girty it was also her brother. The two friends laughed and joked with Andie Riley the barmaid that was until Professor Owen walked into the bar without Dan.
Dia came to join the two girls and they swapped casual conversation with Jac being oblivious to the fact that Dia and Dan were actually together. It was when Dia jokingly mentioned about stealing Dan from Girty the Hufflepuff’s mood changed. Bitterness crept in and for the rest of the night she gave Dia the cold shoulder. They were soon joined at the table by Girty’s close friend Simon Ellison and minutes later by Jac’s older brother Ed and his Fiancé Kelly.

Everyone around the table was getting along, laughing and joking….well Jac and Girty were shooting evils at their potential future sister-in-laws.

(The thread is still slowly continuing haha so I will carry on updating once we come to some form of conclusion…and I finally post back in it!)

The morning after the drinking game and Dan made his way back to the castle the night being a blur but he was convinced he had spent it with Dia, only he could not work out why she had left him so early in the morning to leave him in a room above the Three Broomsticks alone. He was sure she had a reason so strutting into the Entrance Hall he saw her in all her elegance and was about to call to her when Girty walked over to him with a face like thunder.
His sister asked why the fool never turned up and slowly to realisation hit him that he had spent the night with someone else and what was worse was that it was Dia’s old best friend.

Girty left Dan alone to fight his corner as Dia walked towards him disappointment and doubt clear to be seen. She asked why he did not come to her and Dan had no answer but the truth. Slowly Dan explained all he could remember hoping that Dia would understand and the self belief that the truth is what she would want to hear instead of them living a lie. But clearly the news he had slept with Quinn was not what she wanted to hear (and who could blame he!). The two then ended up arguing Dan in pure disbelief that Dia wanted him to lie while Dia could only think about how they really did not know each other if Dan could think and do such a thing. The two publicly fight in the entrance hall to the watching eyes of a crowd of students and it was then Dia said those dreaded words. “you and I are through.”

Being the proud fool of a man Dan refused to show emotion instead he did what he always used to do…he covered the pain with an act of confidence and arrogance. Shooting Dia a cheesy grin and a playful wink he walked away commenting on how their relationship had been fun before jogging down the steps towards the Hufflepuff Common room. Dia was confused by this turn around in Dan’s character and it only added to the pain she did not have the motivation to run off like Dan instead she sat down in the corridor and sat in silence to numb to feel anything.

A feast for the workers
Headmaster Darrow had called for a meal for all the members of the Staff and as the Heads of Hogwarts houses Dan and Dia had to show. After giving up alcohol to prove to himself (and Dia) how much he cared Dan spent most of the evening pinning for Dia from the opposite side of the table while resisting the temptation of alcohol and the attachment of Offley Marsh. For Dia it took a lot of persuasion by her Best Friend Bree O’Donnell to drag her to the meal and things slowly went form bad to worse as the broken couple had to face each other for the first time in five months.

The two were soon surrounded by the banter of the other staff members and while Dan tried to mask his pin by being jovial with the others Dia found the act much harder indeed. However Dan did have another motive about coming to the meal that evening and before the food could even appear on the table Dan had told the headmaster he was leaving at the end of the year as he could not longer stand being in the same walls as Dia…he would run away from his pain. Professor Everritt soon jumped in and told Dan that it was a ludicrous idea to even think about leaving, not having the will to fight Dan was about to return to his seat when he looked over at Dia once more. With his heart in his mouth the Head of Hufflepuff made his way around the table and stood next to Dia and asked if he could have a word.

Yet again Bree jumped into the picture to defend her friend and pushed Dan away and he put up no fight and slowly walked away feeling worse then before while Dia tried to ignore what had just happened.

A Little Time[/url]
After sending Dia to bed after the staff dinner (previous thread) Bree took it upon herself to try and help sort this mess out in the hope that is would stop Dia from moping around too much. Dan was sitting in his office looking over a few assignments when the knock came at the door and as Dan opened it Bree forced her way in. Dan inquired what she wanted (of course the two professors were not on the best terms…Bree was Dia’s best mate after all so you do not treat the guy who cheated on her with the most warm of welcomes!) The answer that Bree gave to Dan’s question however was not what he had been expecting…Bree was telling him that he could not resign like he had planned to.

This news took Dan by surprise and in his slightly fragile state the emotions crept out and it took a little motivational talk by Bree to help Dan come to his senses. The mere thought of leaving Hogwarts for Dia’s sake would not benefit him nor her as it would be running away, instead if they could not be together then they had to move on. The two then hatched a plan to help Dia try an forget Dan (Hubbles was willing to do anything to make Dia happy even if it meant she was not with him), but they knew it would take a lot…they needed to slowly wean Dia off Dan and who better then Dan’s older cousin Sebastian who shared a very familiar family resemblance.

Drinks and New Friends[/url]
Bree and Dia went into the Three Broomsticks, saw Sebastian Hubble and Steven. They moved over, Sebastian brought drinks for them all…they talked, they drunk…Sebastian kissed Dia and the whole thread died once those two left to go outside!

A long awaited meeting
Months had passed since Dan and Dia had dared talk to one another again. Bree and Dan’s plan had slowly been ticking by with Sebastian and Dia continuing their casual evenings together even after the summer holidays. It was however one fateful night, (although in Dan Hubbles mind there is no such thing as fate) that Sebastian and Dia left the Three Broomsticks and entered the cold October night. Sebastian was getting tired of acting to be interested in all of Dia’s problems and seeing as he only had one thing in mind the older Hubbles cousin asked Dia back to his room.

The Astronomy Professors reaction was a predictable one and turned down Sebastian and made her way back to the castle, just wanting to be held…but not by anyone…by Dan.

At this very same evening Dan Hubbles had been visiting Jennifer Queens and as he opened the shop door to head back to the castle he saw the solitary figure of Dia. The two froze and looked at each other. Dan was unable to find the words to say anything and Dia could do nothing but cry. She made her way over to Dan and resting her head onto his chest she sobbed at the cold thought that the two of them may never sort out their problems. Dan’s natural instinct was to wrap his arms tightly around Dia offering her the protection and security that she desired. The apologises soon came flooding out, quickly followed by the renewed declaration of their love for one another. It all seemed so simple that 10 months worth of avoiding one another would end in the space of 10 minutes…love concurred all!

It was the first week back after the Christmas holidays where Dan and Dia had spent the time and Dia’s parents. But ever since they had returned to the castle Dan had been acting very oddly and one night, three months after getting back together again Dan Hubbles woke up in the middle of the night after a nightmare. In his dream there was a dead body…the dead body of Dia. It tore at the man so much he had to leave, just escape to somewhere and after almost breaking down in the corridors Dan made it to the Courtyard to seek Solace in the Starlight. Dan leaving however did not go un noticed and Dia followed him where she confronted Dan asking if everything was ok.

Proud and ashamed about being so disturbed by a nightmare Dan refused to tell Dia, although she remained persistent and eventually got the truth. Her caring and supportive nature came out in full and Dia showed her love for Dan and despite the bitter cold winter air she stood with Dan for reassurance.

Eventually Dan came to the conclusion that as they stood, arms wrapped around each other in the moon and starlight, he would ask the question that had been bothering him for so long…he asked Dia to marry him. Unsurprisingly Dia agreed to have Dan and after a few squeeful moments they went back to the bedroom to seal the deal!

So they finally did it, they ran off to Egypt with close family and friends and it was at this ceremony on the 1st of March 2104 that Dia Owen became Dia Hubbles. Dan and Dia then buggered off onto their Honeymoon to Jamaica where they missed much of the school term before Easter and Dan was in no real rush to get back seeing as he got a promotion to Headmaster!

We all have moments in our lives when we make decisions that effect the way out life plan out. In this thread Dan and Dia made the same decision and as a result their lives changed…they did not go travelling.

Dan Hubbles is a happily married to Offley and they have two children, Peter aged six and Tanya who is only five months. Dan works at the Ministry in the department of protection for rare magical creatures although his job is on the line after an article revealed the location of the creature and soon after the last one was killed.

Dia Hargreaves is the wife of one of the Daily Prophets best Fitz and they have been married for 8 years with two daughters Azeal seven aged and Molly aged four. However since the tragic death of the third Hargreaves daughter Dia and Fitz have been drifting apart, dealing with their grief in a different ways.

However chance would have it that both Dan and Dia entered the same shop as each other and almost straight away they were attracted to one another with thoughts that two happily married people should not be having. [/font]

((It might be exciting but really really isn't))

Leyla the Slytherin went to Hogsmeade because it was a wonderful free afternoon. She went to Madam Puddifoots because it was very quiet in there so she could sit there alone thinking about herself. She didn't knew if she was a real Slyth. The same afternoon Alexinethe Hufflepuff came in. She thought it was very pitiful for Leyla who she didn't know to sit alone. A few seconds later Lena the Gryffindor had seen that her friend Alexine was entering the Tea Shop,so Lena followed. Lena wasn't that enthousiast when she saw Alexine sitting with a Slytherin. A few seconds later an owl landed in front of the tea shop. This owl wasn't a real owl,but a girl. This girl was called Emmy the Ravenclaw. Also Emmy joined them.They introduced themselves and Leyla paid the tea.

A cup of tea with my self or maybe not

Sarie Thimble is having a bad day and decides to listen to her mother and have a cup of tea to feel better. When she discovers that tea is better set for at least two. Then Emmy Stormbranch joins her at her table and they began to talk. Anyone can join just bring some for a good cup of tea.

Maxi's Struggle To Win Ash Back

Summary:
Maxi finally realises he has been the biggest fool ever and sets about trying to win back his ex-lover. However, he knows it wont be as easy as just saying "Sorry I Love You Really."

(Maxi is only going to be in one thread at a time while this plot goes on, of course Ill continue the one with Ally since that started before this plot)

He decides to go down to the lake to watch the sunset hoping maybe it would ease his ache in his chest. He knows he has been stupid and knows only he can put it right between himself and Ashton. Maxi knows he's the only one who can rebuild the bridges he, himself tore down.

Throughout this thread, more and more realisation will set in with the young Gryffindor about how he actually feels for Ash. He finds a friend in Girty Hubbles, who he ends up talking to about it, drops his prefect badge and she picks it up. He feels like he is slowly losing everything, first Ashton, then Mark. The two people he cared for the most and he pushed them away, now Maxi fights with himself to get the courage and strength to go and win his ex-lover back, for Ashton is the most important person to him.

The Secrets Revealed
By now, Bradyn and Felicity's friendship had gone full swing. They spent a lot more time together, and started to get to know each other a lot more. Aside from learning secrets about his best friend, he also discovered those of his girlfriend and his enemy. All these sides of information that he didn't understand were making him uneasy, and like any Ravenclaw; he flocked to the library for the answers. While there, he picked out books on each of his troubles; veelas(Felicity), seers(Bry), and vampires(Erika) and started to read them. Only unforseen troubles soon arised, and one of the people he was reading about arrived on the scene.

Felicity, knowing that Bradyn was rarely to be the book smart one, found this quite odd and took immediate interest in what he was reading. She soon discovered what he was doing, and got upset. Felicity fled the scene and Bradyn took it upon himself to make amends. Catching up and giving a sincere apology, another trouble showed up. Not only was Bry here to possibly find out what he was doing, but she also saw a very upset Felicity and her troubled boyfriend following after. Bradyn, unable to get any more information or fulfill what he had planned, shifted into his more social and concerned self after Bry had an episode. His plans to figure out some of the secrets surrounding him abolished, he joined up with his two favorite girls to hang out for a while.


What Can Heal a Broken Heart?
This thread started off, unsurprsingly, with an angsty Ashton McLane who was greiving over the loss of his boyfriend, Maxi Hennerdale. Bradyn finds him in this saddened state, and like a depressing cloud he also brings in a Mark Almeida and Felicity Locke. Things started to go downhill for Bradyn after he called Maxi an arse. Ashton went off on him and also Felicity.

This was the start of his bad mood, he went off on Ashton in a very harsh way. Meanwhile, Felicity had started talking cryptically about her veela talents, causing Bradyn to yell at her and call her "a man-eating monster". Now that everyone in the trio, plus Mark was angry, he made his leave and left before the real action happened. Daniel McLane showed up and started beating up on his son, and Felicity came ot his rescue delivering the infamous jaw-breaking punch to the man along with strong words that gave hope to Ashton.


Term IV - Lesson 1 - Mandrakes
This thread's not particularly important, just thought I'd point out the true extent of Bradyn and Felicity's arguement. They don't speak or look at eachother in this thread, even when the mandrakes nearly burst Bradyn's sensitive ears.


The Other Side
Felicity decides she needs to get to know the real Maxi Hennerdale if she's going to have any hope in understanding what to do with the angsty Ashton McLane. She arranges a meeting with him and instead of just focusing on him and Ashton she works on getting to actually know him. Soon the conversation becomes completely void of their relationship and focuses more on her and she mentions her feud with Bradyn, a detail that Maxi finds peculiar but seems to just blow off.

As they continue to tell more about each other, Felicity ends up confessing that she's more "likeable than loveable" and that's the reason for her friends being a majority of guys. Maxi disagrees wholeheartedly and she mentions something about telling that to Bradyn, a statement that was taken the wrong way by the other boy. She soon finds herself pressed for information on whether or not she's infatuated with the Bradyn Reed and she denies it each time stating that there was a Gryffindor boy that she truly loved. Maxi does not believe that said Gryffindor boy is real and ignores that, deciding that if she wasn't going to the truth, he wouldn't press her anymore. As far as we know, Maxi still believes there is more than friendship between Felicity and Bradyn because "you two nit pick at each other too much for it just to be a brotherly type thing".


Evenings demand Drama
It was a normal night, well normal as far as the week or more of being at bad terms with Felicity, anyway. They hadn't been able to talk to each other without yelling, and Bradyn blamed this on PMS, which seemed to inflame their arguments even more. While he was laying on the floor reading, Felcitiy came up and sat in a nearby chair. He seemed open to talking to her, and almost apologetic, but her greeting was one of her not killing anyone, and he quickly brought in the situation that had happened with Daniel McLane. Wholly ashamed of herself, Felicity started to argue about him deserving it. Bradyn said that she shouldn't get in the way of other people's business, and let things be.

The argument over family ways and where someone should draw the line brought up their feelings as each thought more of themselves rather than of Ashton or Daniel McLane. Emotions ran high and they finally apologized to each other, Bradyn admitting he was wrong about her being a monster. A monster would be his best friend, afterall. Cheering up enormously, he blamed their touchy-feelyness on drugs and quickly brought in jokes to liven up the mood. This worked successfully and the evening went smoothly thereafter, the other Ravenclaws surely happy that there would be peace and quite again.

Bradyn had been waiting up for Felicity in the common room and was unsurprised when she didn't show up. He was also outraged that she wouldn't listen to him about the forest and decided to go there no matter what he said to convince her otherwise. Sneaking out of the castle at the help of his animagi, he reached the forest and tracked her down only to find someone else there who's scent he didn't recognize. Bradyn soon found himself jumping to conclusions and attacking the person who he thought attacked Felicity, and was thrown off by the fact of this person being Ashton McLane. Ashton and Bradyn got in a heated fight over whether or not trying to save one of your friends or not was wise and the argument could barely be broken up by Felicity.

After their argument lets up and they apologize to eachother, Bradyn is still weary of Ashton and the truth of his alibi. But soon, his anger at her was remembered and he rounded on Felicity, wanting an explanation why she was so clearly disobeying his orders for her to stay out of the forest. Their fight soars over the subjects of her being the veela, the ministry, and other unimportant factors so fast that Ashton seems lost in it and ends up just butting in comments that were wholly ignored until he left first.

Once Ashton was gone, Felicity opened up to the real reasons why she kept going to the forest against his wishes. At the heart of this reasons, were two main ideas. The theories that she could help the Guild's power with her veela powers, and the theory that some impending doom was slowly encroaching in on the forest. As they walked back to the castle together, she revealed to him her plan of training the male Guildmembers against veelas, in case she should need to use them against anyone. Bradyn drew the line there and reverted back to his protective self, saying that he would never participate in something that could be so dangerous to his friend. He tried to explain to her what it was like, but she obviously didn't understand. In the end, Bradyn ended up promising Felicity that he would think about helping her with her plans, which was the closest thing to a yes that she was going to get at that moment.


Answers, Now!
Bradyn decided that he had finally had enough of being in the dark on the subject of the veelas. The library had been his first plan to get information, but that had failed miserably for himself. So he, reluctantly, shifted over to plan B. Plan B consisted of going to Hogsmeade and talking to the owner of Honeydukes, who happened to be Felicity's mom and a full veela. Bradyn planned to interogate Christi Locke, though she wouldn't know it, to get information about veelas straight from the horses mouth. He needed this to decide whether or not he'd help Felicity and her plans to aid the Guild.

When Bradyn began to ask her about the story Felicity mentioned about veelas being able to charm half-humans he discovered that the story was actually true and his plans for finding out more about his friend and her kind started out good. Only when Christi lost interest in talking about something so serious did it go downhill for him. Christi mentioned that Felicity had told her about a boy that she had been hanging around with a lot, an idea that hadn't yet reached Bradyn. Slightly upset at his friends lack of trust in him, he discovered that the Gryffindor boy that she spent so much time with's name was Scott Brooks. He would later confront him about this, since he couldn't ask Felicity herself without blowing the cover of his secret meeting with Christi.

When Bradyn accidentally spilled the beans about her plans for the Guild, things went completely downhill. Christi overreacted and decided she'd remove Felicity from the school, which horrified him. Acting quickly, Bradyn stunned her and modified her memory then high-tailed it out of there with only a select few answers that he needed and still unsure of what he should do.

Summary: Alex and Girty have been friends since the first year in school, they have been close since then. Alex developed feelings for her, As Girty did for him, but neither of them told each other and chose to hide it, until their seventh year.

Atop a Hill
It starts off as a normal day and Alex is bored, so on a whim he decides to go to Hogsmeade, it beats sitting around the castle doing absolutley nothing anyway. It was around May time, so the weather could either be nice, or not so nice. As he got into Hogsmeade, to Alex's dismay, it seemed as though every other student had the same idea of getting away from the castle, the place just hadnt been the same since the Ministry's interferance. He began to fight through the crowd which he describes as "Wild Boars" and finds himself gasping and leant on a wall, but still not quite through the crowd. Eventually he takes a deep breath and dives into the crowd, pushing and shoving people out of his way. Finally after many times being punched, he got out of the crowd and found himself near a hill he used to go to. It was a place Alex loved going, either just before dawn or just before sunset, however it was neither of those times. This hill and its rock (cant forget Rocky) has special significance to Girty and Alex. It was a place they shared from, well since they can rememeber.

Girty shows up and they discuss old memories, like the time they went rolling down the hill and Alex fell in the lake, taking Girty with him by accident, also Alex has a lovely scar on his left upper arm where they went to the forest in the second year and Girty dug her nails into Alex's arm through fear, still the memory made him smile. Girty retaliated with the war wounds as she shown Alex the scar on her leg, from where Alex accidentally pushed the poor girl down the stairs.

Alex nudged Girty off the rock they were sitting on, and surprised, Girty grabbed hold of his shirt and they both fell over. Alex landing ontop of the poor hufflepuff. Alex began to feel the attraction once more, being this close to her again and began to run his hand down her face, without even thinking. Alex didnt know at this point, that there was someone else in her life and he was only confusing her. Girty wriggled away, Alex, being dense as he is, didnt think about anything and he just thought she didnt like him in that way. Muttering apologies, he went over to her, where she now sat, cuddling her legs and wrapped his arms around her from behind. Saying another apology and giving her a friendly kiss on her cheek, much like he used to, he got up to leave...

As he was nearing the edge of the hill to go back down into Hogsmeade, the lad felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to face Girty, who took his left hand and kissed him. Confused, but happy beyond belief, Alex returned her kiss. After a moment or fifty, Alex and Girty went back to the rock and sat there together. Alex tells Girty he has liked her since their first year and tells her he was going to tell her about it but she was with someone. Girty says something about a Simon, but Alex doesnt know this person and has never heard of him either. Realisation sets in and Alex knows she's with someone.

Choices, Choices, Choices...

Okay, so this is a little plot going on between Ashton Laurent and Sunni Daiis, Maxi Hennerdale will also be mentioned from time to time


Sketches Sunni Daiis, a Slytherin is sitting in the library drawing when he is joined by Ashton. Ash and Sunni start talking, and Sunni realizes that he may be attracted to the other boy, who has yet to tell him that he is trying to win his ex back. Ash notices that Sunni is acting strangely and asks him what's wrong. Sunni refuses to tell him, until Ash tackles him to the floor and tickles him that is! Finally, he confides to Ash that Ash makes him feel confused about himself. Ash realizes what Sunni means, but decides not to press the issue, instead, he suggests that they go raid he kitchens. Sunni is clearly falling for Ash, but what about Maxi? Does Ash really want him back as much as he thought he did? Or will just being friends be enough for him?

[Polaris Stormwrath]

'Reading at Dusk'

Polaris stumbles upon a 7th year Slytherin, Mikael Handel, reading with his back against a tree at dusk after a gust of wind lead her to him. After a moment of chatting, the two grew bored and needed something to cure it; mischief. Climbing up the stairs to the observation tower, Mikael locked the door behind them and began to light eight candles.

"Are you certain you do not mind being present for such arcane practices, Polaris?" This was the question proposed to the sixth year. "I am positive, Mikael." Was the answer.

After those words were exchanged, he chanted an incantation to envoke a drake of flames out of the lit candles. Bellowing a terror-inducing roar through-out the castle, the drake's burning eyes settled on Polaris. After all was said and done, the drake descended into Polaris' body and both she and Mikael fainted.

This plot was not only interesting and fun to develope, but it fashioned Polaris' background and personality, making her stronger than ever.

'Vegan Cookies'

Out of boredom, Polaris followed a fellow house member up to the Owlery. After a few moments of visiting with her owl, Erys came along to send a letter off to the Ministry. Yorick Gatsby then enters the scene to send a letter to a family member, unexpected to what the next few moments held.

Commenting on how he had treated his owl and animals well, Polaris also noted that Slytherins harass 'the poor things'. Hearing that, Erys HAD TO retort back with her usual comments, calling Polaris an animal and a mutt, along with 'making her teeth a little more pointy'. Scary, right? Polaris then simply shrugged it off, aggrivating the Slytherin by waving her off. Of course, a snake wasn't that easy to get rid of. Or, pussy cat in this case.

Continuing to shrug off Erys' attempts of intimidating her, Polaris wasn't too amused by the show. All bark and no bite.

"If she is wise enough to know her place, then nothing will happen." Obviously, that didn't happen. Cats are lower than wolves on the food chain.

Yorick then intervened, stating that the argument along with Erys was scaring the birds. Erys remained snide while Polaris smiled and nodded in respect of his points. Making a low blow and telling a 'fat joke', Erys soon turned her heel and scattered away from the scene, leaving Polaris to triumph. Wise choice.

This plot was fun for me, since everyone encounters a snob or two in their life and this was refreshing. Not to mention it earned Polaris friends and a slight reputation among the bunch.
