"So my shoving a wand through its neck did nothing?" Kim said sarcastically. "Well whatever..." She turned to look at the forest, in a few hours she'd probably either have killed Fenrir, saved him, or be fighting for her life. She became quiet as she asked Apronia for another wolf.

"Ms. Rivers, had that been a real wolf, your wand would have snapped. It is not a sharp instrument designed to penetrate the thick hide of a werewolf. And you missed the jugular vein and the trachea by a good two inches. I judge the wolf could well have survived that and taken your head off in the bargain." She turned slightly away. "At any rate, the point is not to kill the werewolf with your bare hands, but to shove the potion down his throat." she pointedly levitated one of the empty vials in Kim's face. "I suggest you practice that."
