(ooc: This thread is for those of you who keep forgetting about how "dangerous" the forest is. Do not, under any circumstances come into the forest until Apronia has given the ok. She will "return" after consulting with the centaurs So please refrain from posting in the Forest until she has made it clear it is safe with the Centaurs,) (ooc2: This is the continuation of "The Forest must be alive" thread.) Leigh walked out of the forest and scanned the fields surrounding the forest. Smiling a little, he turned to face the forest again. He sighed, and concentrated on the spell he knew he had to wield to protect the students. He held out his wand and muttered several long chants, finally feeling his magic flow through to his wand. Leigh saw the forest and waved his wand in front of it, feeling the spell drain him severely. He continued to weave the spell until all his power was depleted, but the spell was now in effect. He fell to his knees out of utter exhaustion, feeling his parched mouth feel like sandpaper. He laughed a little, the sound coming out like a hoarse croak. Leigh could believe he had done what he had done. He had cast a shielding spell, repelling any person who tried to enter the forest. The spell worked as an invisible barrier, where if one touched it's surface they would feel nothing but a smooth, unseeable wall. He reached forward and felt the coolness of the barrier before laughing and standing furtively. He turned to see no one before him, but he knew that if any person had entered the forest before he left it, they were trapped and at the Centaurs mercy. Leigh began to walk back to the forest wearily, hoping no student was trapped inside of the forest.

((Um....
Okay.
I am going to wait for Der Waldgeist's input to respond to this.
But...
You realize Alondra, Draco, Lisa, and your girlfriend are all trapped in there now.))

We put our hands to the wall. This is a chorus and we are full of the fist beats, the torrential rain. We feel through you and arm ourselves with voices and consequence. You will not continue to deny us. We are hundredfold and furious. Every tree opens their new hands and reach out in first movement. The lined palms of their leaves press against the shield, whisper in to it with the urgency of the ages. Native bacteria emit fluid, anti fluid and low magic. Small lifetimes for braiding chemical chains, synthesis waves, that corrode magic and make atheists of anyone. 104 consumed thestrals throw themselves against the absolute threshold of what they can no longer see. They too become increasingly invisible in the light and students still in bed can hear them fracture against the spell. Ghost punches and battering rams. If you are listening, you are a part of the riot. Vampire apparatus and even more are surging forward. The willow is learning to walk and finds that it likes being able to move where it pleases. It had been considering this for fifty years. Baby steps, baby steps children.
Erich's spirit moves as brushfire would, sweeps forward in the leaps and strides of seventeen new summers. Boy, remember yourself as dust. He thinks to himself in hieroglyphs and thought picture, wants to be a revolution again, and rolls forward as boiled absorption through the root systems. When the wind picks up, be a desert, boy. Be too many to move. Aqueduct. He is used to being a weapon.
If waking children listen they will hear a countdown: Open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open open {perfect silence in all living minds} i am a whistle and worse.
Erich's eyes dilate when he hits the barrier and the resulting explosion of magic tastes like his best and last memory with Rainer. Let's see what God has to say about it then. The wall honeycombs, turns to glass and in a moment is scattered by the wind as sand.

Leigh was kneeling down in front of the forest, feeling severely drained due to the expanse of his spell. He suddenly heard a whisper, a slight whisper on the wind then hears an odd sound as the spell dissipates before him. He looked up to see the barrier fall away into a misty void, settling down onto the ground in a layer of grey dust, soon vanishing from sight.
Leigh's eyes went wide, his heart racing. What could do that!? He cried to himself as his mind raced over infinite possibilities. He was staring into the void of darkness inside of the forest, seeing nothing, hearing nothing.
He slowly stood, stumbling as he did. He was weakened more than he thought, but fought to stand. He soon felt something in the back of his mind, only a small feeling, something that one would breeze over and not care about. He realised it was a feeling that someone was watching him, or something. He glanced around nervously, trying to find the source.
But to no avail did he find the culprite, as the feeling vanished as quickly as it came. He sighed, giving up as he turned away from the forest and began walking back to the school, until he heard something behind him.

((Arriving from the soon to be concluded "A Chance to Prove" Thread.))
Lucius lunges and hangs in the parabola of his jump, a moment before gravity, and howls curses in slurred languages Leigh does not understand. The ground responds, knows the commands and opens up as a crater beneath them both, knocking Professor Addis to his knees. Landing quietly several feet away, silver hanks of hair covering half his face, lucius bares his teeth as he lands. The scorched half of his bald skull glistens raw in the early morning and his fingers claw deep in to the upturned earth. His knuckles are the whites of eyes and bone. Steam rises from him, and his clothes pull against his frame by the wind and flecks of soot and ash fly from him.
He does not blink. His eyes do not see.
Howls again before turning on all fours, his mouth open and craving, towards Leigh. His muscles tense, strained by the magical enhancements that rewrite the limits of joints and human strength. Lucius, because that is the name he recalls, dreams of a lifetime that has been lived without him and moves to attack.
Father?

Leigh screamed in pain and rage. He felt his knees buckle as something collided with him. His body shook, pain rivetint through the entire body, forcing him to cry feebly. He fell forward, barely conscious, the pain wracking his body.
Leigh gritted his teeth as he pushed himself up, barely able to hold himself there. He heard something crawling around, quickly and deftly before him. He looked up, and saw a man, whose limbs were distorted in unnatural ways. Leigh screamed in fear, and leapt to his feet quickly. His body surged with adrenaline as he saw what the man was.
Leigh stepped back, his lower lip betraying his fear as the man came for him. Leigh suddenly saw the eyes of the man, deep and powerful, but also crazy and insane. Leigh suddenly reached for his wand, but remembered the spell weakened his magical abilities.
Leigh growled, and felt his blood quicken through his vain. The savage looks in the eyes of the man, whose skull was half burned, shimmering as the sun rose. Leigh formed clenched his fists tightly and sneered, turning his sneer into a devillish smile.
Leigh fell to all fours, feeling the course fur grow all over his body. He felt the long, sharp teeth protrude from his mouth as his ears swept back over his head. He felt his senses heighten, his strength increase and speed quicken. Leigh's sense of sight shifted and grew brighter in the dim light, as he smiled as only a tiger can smile.
Let's see what you can do... Leigh slowly stalked the man, arcing into a circle, as they eyed each other. Leigh felt his body feel alive as the sudden surge of energy filled him with a childish glee. His innermost dreams were coming a reality, a fight was on his hands.

Spring tension. Lucius fist hits the ground as he leaps forward, thrusting himself up in to the air again. Blood moves faster than he can, and the flush of his veins urge him onward. Joints and their natural direction mean nothing and he strikes Leigh's rapidly transforming face.
His fine knuckles crack against Leigh, against the hijacked barrier spell his body exudes suddenly. He slams it in to the professor with the force of a freight train though this was his spell not five minutes ago. Lucius howls and brings his bleeding hand close to his face, wears the shield like skin.

(ooc: uhh... are you making my shield spell a barrier on my skin? Because that's what I believe you wrote... confused me like hell, but that was written bloody well Hurled away by the sheer force of the attack by the man, Leigh stumbled away, feeling his body take none of the blow. He wondered why as the man looked at his hand, and simply stared at the Professor, a strange emotion in his eyes. Leigh snarled savagely, extending the claws in his hands as he readied himself for his own attack.
