Raid on Fenrir Greyback

The Headmistress looked horrified, and had to force herself to stay crouching where she was. If I run to help, then we will all be attacked. Maybe killed. She thought hopelessly. She could feel Leigh beside her going through the exact same struggle, always being a man of action rather than using 'wait and see'.

The crisis was growing. It was extremely serious when a student was involved. She was beginning to prepare for action, and was seriously considering calling for back up at any point, even though that risked involvement of more people. What is she doing though?? She frantically thought to herself. She had brought a student into a ravine full of werewolves.. There must be more to the plan. She loyally insisted to herself. There must be.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

Leigh saw and heard the demand by Apronia. Leighs insides suddenly clenched when he heard Kim's name. "She's insane!" Leigh hissed, closing his hands into fists. He watched the scene down below and saw Fenrir slowly step out. Leigh was taken back by Apronia's actions and he swore.

Slowly he came to realise what Apronia's plan was. "I've seen this before, Professor." Leigh said. "I saw it in a muggle film... Kim is here, acting as if she is part of the deal, but she is carrying something that will kill Fenrir... when Kim delievers whatever it is, we ready ourselves to swoop in and save them." Leigh crouched low, still able to see the happenings as he slowly changed his body to that of a tiger.

Apronia watched Kim carefully from the corner of her eye, praying for her strength and clear-mindedness.

Greyback moved closer to the edge of the rock, carefully sniffing at the wind for the girl's scent.

(OOC: ok, let's let Kim make the next move...)

Kim felt the sickness rise in her throat. Her body started shaking, she wasnt sure if she was ready or not yet. She felt the bottle in her pocket, she had put it there for saftey reasons. Though not quite sure of those.

Kim breathed in deepley, the scent of the forest rising through her nose. She stepped out into the clearing, now fully aware of how many werewolves were there. Fenrir had cut infront of some, Kim could see him anyway. He was still sniffing, trying to find her scent. He seemed to have caught it when he looked at her. "Right. Well im here" Kim said. Sounded way better in my head "If you want me... Come and get me, though keep everyone else out of this" She tried to sound brave, but the shaking in her voice wasnt helping the confidence. She looked to Apronia for some kind of sign or guidence or something.

[Apronia Silvanus]

Apronia wouldn't look at her directly, lest Greyback get suspicious, but she gave the tiniest little nod, and sent out a tendril of her magic to wrap around Kim's waist comfortingly.

You can do it, Kim. Just one taunt and he'll jump on top of you. As soon as he swallows that vial, run like hell, and it should only take a few seconds before it's all over.

Kim began walking forwards. She felt uneasy as the hoards of werewolves stepped out of her way. "Thats... unusual" Still she kept her calm and carried on walking, soon enough Fenrir came into view, making Kim backtrack a little bit. He walked towards her and encircled her. He walked around her, sniffing her. "Just making sure i got the right twin this time" He snarled at her. "You'll never have the right one. Your just as dumb as the rest of them.. Except i'd say you were thicker" He growled at her and backed off a little. "How is dear daddy and sister? Saying that hows brother?" Kim froze. She shook her head and smiled "All good... Now.. Are we going to chat all day or what? Cause im getting bored? I thought you were a wolf of action? Not a campfire idiot" She smiled

[Apronia Silvanus]

Greyback snarled furiously, the muscles in his hind legs coiled to jump. You are a foolish child. But nevermind, soon you will be mine!

He leapt.

[Kim Rivers]

As Greyback leapt at her Kim had to make a decsion. One which she wasnt very good at making in a split second either. She fished in her pocket for the vial but Fenrir got to her quicker and knocked the vial away from her. Kim ducked and crawled to the vial picking it up.

Fenrir turned around and looked at Kim as she was on the floor holding the vial. He jumped back to her, snarling mouth wide open. Kim threw the vial into his mouth...

He landed on her. He wasnt snarling anymore so at least that was a good sign. "I may be foolish.." She pushed him off her and stepped away. "But i will never be yours"

Fenrir lifted his head up and looked up at her. "What did you do to me?" Kim looked at him. He didnt seem... nasty anymore. "No... poof? Why.. whys there no poof?" Kim looked at Fenrir "You look like a werewolf.. But your not one" She turned to Apronia "Please explain... What happened to the whole... well... poof? and explosions? And dead werewolf? Why isnt isnt he dead? He should be poofing right about now!" Kim looked at the werewolf on the floor and felt a sudden pity for him.

[Apronia Silvanus]

Apronia scanned the clifftops for the two hidden professors.

"NOW, LEIGH, GAIL!" she yelled, hoping they would know she meant for them to drive away the other werewolves, who were very uneasy thanks to their leader's rather pathetic whimpering.

"Ferdinand?" she asked quietly. The wolf turned towards her, whimpering slightly. She crouched down holding out her arms, and he came to her like a chastized puppy. She enfolded him warmly. "Do you remember who you are?" he bobbed his head up and down and keened. "Don't worry, I've still got several tricks up my sleeve. I'm fairly sure I can return you to human form." She petted his shaggy head, removing several burrs. Up close and no longer snarling, he looked rather ragged and unkempt.

Apronia stood and faced Kim. "Kim, I apologize for deceiving you. What I gave you in that vial was an experimental cure for lycanthropy. I was sure it would either cure him or kill him. As you can see, the former was the case, although not quite as thorough as I'd hoped. It certainly needs refining. Ferdinand," she stressed Fenrir's human name, "is now merely a boy trapped in a wolf's body."

[Kim Rivers]

Kim walked over to the wolf and Apronia. She knelt down next to her. "Decievings a strong word... You just did what you thought was best, giving someone a second chance and i guess i understand that. And besides, i wanted Greyback dead and i guess, though his form isnt dead, but the beast inside is." She looked at Apronia. "Now i think about it. I was so adamant on him dying i never really thought about who he was before. Guess he was unfortunate, got lost or something on the way. Everyone does from time to time, they just need guidence in getting back" She looked at Fenrir "Am i getting any of this right or do i sound like an idiot?" She put her hand on Fenrir's head. She looked at Apronia and lowered her voice "Does he have anywhere to go after this?"She asked. "I still hate him... lots!" She smiled again.

(ooc: Do I still attack the others? If not I'm going to... I'll make this post at the same time you shouted for us Apronia.)

Leigh leapt from the cliff, sailing over the several werewolves that encircled Apronia and Kim. He swiftly leapt onto one, savagely clawing one and roared as loud as he could, scaring the werewolves into a frenzied run. He tackled into another as he tried to attack Kim, but he sank his fangs into the thigh, shredding muscle and tendon from the bone. The werewolf howled a high-pitched squeal than fell over.

Leigh turned to run at another two, scaring them away as Leigh leapt on them, extending his claws as he landed heavily on them. Leigh growled at the few others who remained, and slowly slinkered away into the grass.

Apronia was overcome with pride at Kim's attitude and laid a fond hand on the girl's shoulder.

"You're right, Kim. Sometimes we just get lost. I will take him back with me. Perhaps I can find away to return him to human form." Ferdinand ducked his head and leaned his broad shoulder against Apronia's hip. The Groundskeeper waved to Leigh, thanking him for covering them. "Time to go home? Have we done enough damage for one day?" underneath her smile were serious calculations regarding her werewolf antidote, distribution and production.

Leigh turned back to himself and nodded his head. Slightly smiling he turned and began to walk out of the forest, leaving Apronia and Kim to their own duties.

[Kim Rivers]

Kim noticed the professors leaving the forest. She stroked the nose of the werewolf. She felt like she was warming to him but quickly shoved that aside. She looked at Apronia "I never though i'd hear any professor say im right" She joked. She looked back at Greyback. "Can i help? I mean, sure, he will always be Fenrir Greyback to me, human or not but, i kinda dont want to see a life we've taken all this trouble for just go to waste." She glanced up into the sky and back down again "I'll bet the other Professors were quite shocked"

[Apronia Silvanus]

"Of course! It will mostly be boring laboratory work. I must monitor him for the first month to make sure the cure is a permanent one, but after that, there will be much exciting work to be done before this young man is returned to his human form." Apronia crouched down next to the huge wolf.

"How would you like to come back to Hogwarts and I will work every one of those knots out of your hair?" the werewolf allowed his tongue to loll out of his mouth and pressed his cheek against hers. "Don't worry," she murmured, "I will make this time for you as pleasant as I can." she brushed her knees off as she stood. "Well, as the English-speakers say, 'Let us blow this popsicle stand', no?"
