Term 1:Divination Lesson #4: Numerology

"Professor? I think two plus nine is eleven, and one plus one is two..." she trailed off a bit, not entirely sure if she had missed something or not.

[Prof. Algernon Moncrieff]

Algernon furrowed his brow for a moment, then laughed. "Right you are! 5 points to Ravenclaw. Although, actually, it'd just be 11. 11 and 22 are two special cases."

"So what do they mean?" she asked curiously. She could already tell this would be a very interesting lesson, whether her personality number told her anything she didn't know, or not.

Keaira glanced over at Carrie. "I got nine, as well," she said idly.

Aidan who had been silent as the class went on added her name numbers. A is one and I have two a's, I 9, d 4, and n 14....lets see...15+14=29 2+9=11 and 1+1 is...2.... " Professor, my number is 2." she spoke finely a cheerful smile on her face though she was slightly worried over the fact she had the lowest number and wondered what that meant.

"Hey, what are apostrophes, as far as numbers go," asked Fin jokingly. "And this whole lesson is bogus guys, I mean, how can a number, a simple number, determine your persoality type!?" he said, standing up and addressing the whole class.

Alana looked at Fin in disgust. He could be so inconsiderate at times! "If this lesson is bogus, then what the hell are you doing here?" she retorted. "If you don't like it you can leave. Othewise, sit down, shut up, and stop making stupid comments! Because there are actually people who want to learn this!" she said heatedly. She was not in a good mood, and her famous temper was making itself known.

"Oh calm the hell down babe, I was just saying what I feel. God forbid someone have an opinion that conflicts with yours, right? Apparently, no one whithin a hundred yards of you is allowed to have an opinion that you dont agree with!"

Helia chuckled at the interesting discussion between Fin and Alana, "A number doesn't determine your personality type, you do, but it can certainly say a lot about you. Just like your name says a lot about you. Take my name for instance, Helia means sun, and I'm certainly vain enough to think the world revolves around me, thus it's fitting. Likewise, if I'm not mistaken, Lauretta translates to mean... triumph or victory. So perhaps it's not such a coincidence that our names ended up with the same numbers." she shrugged. She got a smirk on her face, "What did your number end up being, Fin?"

Fin thought for a moment. "Lets see... J is 10, a is 1, m is 13, e is 5, and s is19...so, 48! Okay, so 4+8 is 12...my number is twelve."

"I never said that, asshole!" Alana snapped. "All I said was if you're gonna complain then at least wait until after the class to do so!" "Oh and one more thing? Don't ever call me babe!" "Ever!" "Do I make myself clear!?"

Halo laughed, "Alana, that's not going to work with Fin. He'll just find some other cutesy nickname that you'll hate even more. Trust me," she smirked.

Alana jumped up and without any regard for the possible consequences, slapped Fin right across the face. "You shut up!" she raged. "And you will not call me whatever you want!" "You arrogant, selfish, spoiled asshole!" she screamed.

"You slap like a cheerleader," he remarked. "And you slapping me isn't going to make me realize 'the error of my ways,' okay tuts? Oh and, by the way, every now and then, you might want to use reason to make me stop, instead of just plain old violence."
