Professor Moncrieff ascended the ladder to the astronomy tower, tripping over his purple robes in his haste to get there before any of the students showed up. Glancing around the room, he smiled. It had been arranged exactly to his specifications, that Wigglyfish was a good one. The tower, though it was quite air tight; protected from the cold and rain, was completly clear on all of the circular sides and the ceiling, so it was possible to see out over many miles of the Hogwarts grounds, forest, and beyond. The room itself was littered with bean bag chairs and circular, wooden tables. He made his way to one of the walls, peering out over the forest anxiously. This was his first class, and he was both nervous and excited. He just hoped he didn't make a complete fool of himself.

Deb started climbing the ladder slowly, wondering if Professor Moncrieff was already there. She doubted any other students would have arrived yet; punctuality was one of her strong points.
She was looking forward to class; divination was an interesting subject, and she really wasn't sure what to expect with a new teacher. That aside, she loved this room, and being able to see all of the grounds.

Carrie eyed the staircase that led to the astronomy tower suspiciously, as she tried to catch a glimpse of any other students that had arrived. She didn't particularly want to be first one there, but decided she might as well go up anyway.
Upon entering the classroom, she gave the occupants a small smile, before taking in the contents of the room. She peered round in approval, then gave a grin: bean bag chairs. If there was one thing she loved, it was bean bag chairs. Maybe Divination wasn't going to be so bad afterall.

Deb smiled over at Carrie, relieved that someone else was here. She was currently finding the setup of the room pretty comfortable, and was waiting patiently for the class to start.

Professor Moncrieff remained staring out of the window, seemingly non-the-wiser of the students who had begun creeping up behind him. Glancing down at his watch, he sighed disapprovingly, and turned around. He started slightly at the sight of the few students who had arrived, but quickly broke out into a beaming smile. "Welcome, welcome!" He said, gesturing toward the bean bag chairs. "Take a seat!"

Right as Brian walked in he heard the teacher tell them to take a seat. He sat down, Brian always getting A's in this class so he had a smirk on his face.

Carrie quickly grabbed herself a seat at the far end, and wondered what part of Divination they would be starting today.

Alana James rushed into the romm hoping she wasn't too late.
"Sorry I'm late Proffessor. I got lost."
"Perfectly understandable." replied the Proffessor. "What is your name?"
"Alana James."
"Well Alana, it looks like the only available seat is right here beside me. So if you would please take a seat?"
"Yes sir."
Alana quckly sat down and waited for class to begin. She knew it was going to be an interesting lesson.

Last time Chase sat where she is, he was in trouble. He couldn't help but laugh about his memories.

Alana looked around the room, there were more students than she had expected. Although she was a sixth year, this was her first year taking Divination, so she hoped it would be as easy for her as Potions was.

Kieron rushed up the stairs to his next class, which just happened to be Divination. He was quite late, since it was a couple of minutes after class had started. Why out of all days did he have to sleep in?! He hoped that the professor wouldn't yell at him /too/ much, or else he'd feel even worse than he already did.
Making it to the classroom, he gasped lightly for air, his chestnut locks of hair all up in a frenzy since he didn't brush them that morning. "I'm sorry Professor, i'm terribly.." His eyes widened when he saw the Professor. "Sorry for being so late." He blinked for a minute, shaking his head with a smile. 'So, he /did/ decide to come. Glad I suggested it to him then. I haven't seen him for so long.' Rubbing his head sheepishly, he offered another bright smile to the professor as he took a seat in one of the..bean bag chairs? How comfortable. This was going to be a great class, he could tell.

ooc; Brian, I haven't assigned anything yet @__@ yeesh.
Algernon waited until the students were all seated, then stood at the center of the class room. "Welcome to divination, everyone. I'm Professor Moncrieff. You probably all know that I'm new at this school, but that doesn't mean you can take advantage of me. As long as you don't try, I think we'll get on fine. You see, I teach a new kind of Divination. Atleast, new to wizards. So any thing you've learned from previous teachers probably won't be any use to--" He turned around as another student entered the room, prepared to tell him off for being late - and stopped. Kieron. It was Kieron. He gaped at him for a moment, then turned quickly away, praying he would take a seat quietly and not say anything.
Damn. Damn, damn, damn. Part of him had known that he would run into Kieron if he took a job here, he had tricked himself into half-believing that the boy might go to another english wizarding school, but he had known it wasn't true. He knew he would meet him again. That was part of the reason he applied for a job at Hogwarts, although it was quite true that he couldn't have taught in France because of... well, he didn't want to think about that.
But here was Kieron. Merlin, what was he going to do?
Algernon shook his head, train of thought faltering "Ah... er... Right, like I was saying, previous teachings won't be of use to you. I teach the theroy of Divination, the why of it, rather than just the how." He paused again, glancing out at the students uncertainly. "Any questions?" He asked.
