Adrienne sighed, watching as Madam Malkin bobbed around her, measuring here and there. Pins and thread hovered in the air, fiddling with her outfit, but sometimes managing to poke her in the ribs or just above her shoulder. She decided this was on purpose, and a deep scowl graced her features, staring at her reflection in the mirror across from her.
Her face looked deathly pale while framed by her dark hair, and her brown eyes glittered with impatience. The deep blue dress robes adorning her body were almost ready, and she let out a relieved sigh, playing with a little of the silver embrodery, only to be pricked by another needle.
"Bloody things," she muttered. Just as Malkin finished, she stepped off the stool she was standing on and pulled out her money purse, ignoring the jingle of the door which signalled another person had entered the shop.

Mort walked into the familiar shop. He loved getting new clothes. He found a tailor and started getting fitted for dress robes. He sighed, and realized he wasent alone. He turned his head and saw who else was there. "Hello there. Mort Rainey is the name." said Mort smiling at the girl.

Adrienne turned to the boy with knitted eyebrows, a few galleons in her palm. "Adrienne Coote." She said, straightening her composure to full height, looking down at him. "And I really hope you're not planning on getting that color," she nodded at the threads and pins swerving around his head. "It really does nothing for your hair." She made a face, before turning back to Madam Malkin and placing the gold coins into the seamstress' hands, ignoring the displeasure on the woman's face.

" Well I guess maybe red is not my color." said Mort with heated breath. "What would you suggest?"

Adrienne glanced at him haughtily, clasping her cloak together. "I'm not here to be your fashion consultant." She said shortly, brushing some hair from her eyes. "Though, red is a hideous color in general... Always reminding me of those blasted Gryffindors." She scowled.

"Ok then, sorry I bothered you. I think I will go with red." said Mort glaring at the girl. He was getting angrier and angrier. Shooter was fighting to come up.

Adrienne turned fully to him, her eyes dark with amusement. "Oh yes? Well, I hope wherever you wear them actually lets you inside, seeing as how I know I'd never let you within three-feet of me wearing those atrocious things." She crossed her arms easily, raising an eyebrow.

Mort stopped himself from reaching into his robes.

"Well with that face, Im dont know how they let you into Hogwarts." said Mort smiling.

Adrienne's expression dissolved into a sneer, and she felt her nails dig into her palm. "I highly doubt Hogwart's has such high standards that they'd ever refuse a student like me." She said, narrowing her eyes. "You go to Hogwarts, then, do you? A Gryffindor, I'm sure."

"Slytherin. I'm surprised that Slytherin even let you in." said Mort smiling, knowing he was getting to her

Adrienne's fingers unclenched and she stared at Rainey with incredulous expression. "You? A Slytherin?" In mere seconds, her face broke out into a large grin, and laughter soon followed. "You? Mort Rainey, boy-who-adores-red, are a Slytherin?" She seemed to find this exceptionally funny, and smirked at him. "I could say the same to you, then."

"Red happens to be a very noble color. But that color on you makes you even more hideous. No wonder I havent seen you around school, youve been hiding that ugly face the whole time!" said Mort his anger rising.

Adrienne smiled widely, to the point where it looked nearly sinister. Walking over to him, she rose an eyebrow. "Actually," she said in a sickly-sweet voice. "The reason you've never seen me around is because I prefer intelligent company."
Then, turning on her heel, she collected her bags.

This time, both of Adrienne's eyebrows rose, and she turned back around. Regarding the boy with a slightly puzzled expression, she frowned. "Why are you..." She trailed off, shaking her head. The malice in her eyes disappeared completely, replaced with a casual indifference. "It was a pleasure, Mort." She began, walking toward the door. "But I really must be heading back to the Manor. These robes need to be worn, you know." She offered him the closest thing to a smile she could muster, before exiting the shop, confused still.
