Keifer walked through Hogsmeade singing along to the song, Buttons. "I'm telling you loosen up my buttons baby, But you keep fronting Saying what you going to do to me But I ain't seen nothing..." He stopped singing and, if you could look at yourself... He'd be looking at himself in a very strange way. "...Why am i singing that? I wonder..." He said to himself, stopping in the middle of the street. He shrugged and carried on walking, soon finding himself singing again. "Typical, hardly the type I fall for, i'm liking the physical, don't leave me asking for more" Keifer stomped his feet on the floor. "STOP SINGING THAT SONG!" He tried frantically to think of another one, preferably one by Panic! He though of 'Nails for breakfast and tacks for snacks' Sighing he began to hum the song, eventually singing the words "watch your mouth your speech is slurred enough that you just might swallow your tongue you'd want to give up the ghost with just a little more poise than that" He stopped "I am sooo bored!"

Keifer smiled at her "Way to long princess." he looked up and down the street witch seemed to be deserted, an eerie silence overcame him so he decided to twitter on with himself. "Summer holidays soon" he said smiling at her "Leave school this year"

Jac came down the street and saw a purple haired girl and a ravenclaw boy who she had met earlier in the library. She smiled sardonically to herself and walked over to them. "Are you ... uh ... Grace Marks?" she enquired, totally ignoring boy.

Grace shook her head as a gryffindor came over and asked a surprising question. "Um, sorry ... what?" she frowned, then understanding the question, shook her head again and nodded, "uh ... yeah, that's me. My reputation precedes me?" She stared at the gryffindor in surprise, still frowning. "And you are?"

Jac smirked at the girls ignorance. "Yes, it does," she said, "well at least your hair does. This is for you," she said, holding out o crumpled envelope. "It's from my mother," she said curtly, "she quite taken with you actually." She pushed the letter into Grace's hand and put her hands on her hips, "I'm not leaving till you've read it and given me a reply."

Grace clutched the letter in her frozen hand and stared at the strange girl, her mouth slightly open. Why would her mother be writing to me? she wondered. She looked down a the scrunched letter in her hand and realized she recognised the hand writing. She tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter that was inside.
Dear Grace, I am pleased to hear that you are coming a little longer then expected during the holidays. Jac will be keeping you company during that time. She decided not to go with her brother to Northern Ireland but to stay home. She might be able to explain it a little better then I can. She was rather vague in her letter. So, at least you won't be lonely when Thom and I are at work.
I have scheduled that you visit your father on the Thursday before you return to school but you will only be able to stay a short while. He says little but what he does is always questions about you and how you are doing. He does really love you, deep down.
So, I look forward to seeing you and hope you have a good holiday till I do.
Yours sincerely, Maddi
Grace stared at the letter in her hand and then stared at the tall girl. "You mean to tell me that Maddisson Biggerstall is your mother? That you and I will be spending the last two weeks of the holidays together? That you - well do you know anything about my father?" Questions, so many questions! So many were racing through her head but her throat went dry after having asked those.

Jac smiled. 'Well done," she said, "I'm Jac Biggerstall and yes Maddisson Biggerstall is my mother." She smiled at the letter, her long hair shimmering a dark blue sheen, almost unnoticeable against her black hair. "And yes, we'll be spending the last two weeks of the holidays together. But I'm afraid that I can't tell you anything about my father. Mother doesn't bring her work home with her, says she left homework with her studies." Her cheers burst into freckle, "I'm sorry, was I interrupting something? I just thought-" she broke off.

Grace stared at the delicate handwriting of her letter and listened intently to the girls words. At her question Grace shook her head, "no, not at all." She folded the letter carfully and put it into her pocket, "you sure Maddi hasn't mentioned anything about my father?" she persisted.
