Ron let out a loud snore as he laid sprawled across the grass, his eyes closed and his mouth opened slightly. His transfiguration homework lay in front of him, a few sheets of parchment stuck to his cheek and his quill dribbling ink down the arm of his robes.
Needless to say, he didn't find Transfiguration homework all that thrilling.
He continued to sleep, only beginning to stir when someone's voice reached his ears, disturbing quite a nice dream of a never ending plate of ham sandwiches.

"Ron?" she asked, biting her lip to keep from laughing. She had been wandering around the grounds trying to think of something to do when she saw her friend across the lake, sprawled out and looking like he'd just been attacked by the squid. As she got closer, however, she realized he was just sleeping... with transfiguration notebooks scattered around him. "You okay?"

"Hmmffg" He mumbled, his face moving slightly, tipping his inkwell over. A little managed to drip onto his nose, and he let out a frustrated groan and reached up, trying to itch it away, continuing to mumble before his movements stopped and his eyes peeled open. He stared at Helia for a moment, before his ears blazed crimson and he pushed himself up quickly.
"Oh yeah, yeah. Definitely. Fine..." The parchment that had been plastered to his face chose that moment to let go and fall onto his lap. "Ermm..."

She stifled a giggle, "You look like you could use a hand." she said as she sat down across from the gryffindor and began stacking up the scattered papers. "Studying hard it seems? Or having a hard time studying?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

Ron blushed, laughing and pulling a few books in front of him, piling the parchment on top... He wasn't the best at tidying up. "Oh well, you know fifth year owls and all that..." His face distorted into a pained look and he looked back at Helia. "I really can't seem to study, and mum's been pestering me all month," he shook his head. "Wouldn't want to receive another howler... No, most definitely not." He looked back at her with a smile.

She laughed, "I was in fifth year owls last year, I could help you study if you like?" she offered brightly. "I don't know how good of a teacher I'd be, but I'd like to try if you'd like the help?" she said, handing over the stack of papers.

Ron accepted the papers with a grin, sitting cross-legged and flipping open his Transfiguration text. "Really? I'm sure you'd be a great teacher- Especially if you can teach anything like you can fly!" He blushed slightly, looking at her brightly, before picking up his quill and smiling, "Thanks a lot for the broom, by the way... I've never had the chance to fly like that in, well...ever!"

She smiled, "Well, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Now then, which spell are you working on?" she asked as she pulled out her wand and began twirling it between her fingers like a baton.

Ron followed her lead, pulling out his own wand as well and placing it beside his book, thumbing through the pages. Finding the page, he scanned it for a moment before looking back at Helia with somewhat of a helpless look. "The Evanesco spell. Says here it's the vanishing spell."

"Ooh, fun!" she said happily. She reached into her robes and pulled out two pumpkin pasty's, setting one in front of Ron and the other on the ground in front of herself. "Don't eat it." she reprimaded teasingly. "We're gonna make it vanish, then reappear, then we'll snack." She nodded. "The most trouble you'll have with the Evanesco spell is the wand movements that tie into the enunciation. When you say the first part of the spell, 'Ev' you have to draw a long line to the right of the object.." she demonstrated by moving her wand to the right of the pasty. "When you say 'An' you have to make a wide loop over it..." her wand tip circled over the pasty landing on its left side, "When you say, 'esco' you tap the top of the object once." she set the tip of her wand on the pumpkin treat, then looked at Ron, "Now you try.

Ron looked at the Pumpkin Pastries wistfully, before looking back at Helia with a nervous smile and pointing his wand at one of them. Taking a deep breath and furrowing his brows in concentration, he dragged his wand slowly to the right of the pastry, while a slow, clumsy "Ev" escaped his mouth.
As the next syllable, "An" was said, he made a wide loop over it, just as Helia instructed, and tried to ignore the fact that it looked too wide. His face seemed to distort into a slight look of nervous befuddlement. Finally letting out the, esco, he shut his eyes tightly and tapped the pastry maybe a little too harshly.
Opening his eyes, he grinned and saw the pastry had disappeared. About to thank Helia gratefully, he saw his wand out of the corner of his eye and stared at it with wide-eyes. Apparently too harshly was right, as he had speared right through the thing and it now sat atop his wand.
His mouth dropped open, as he tugged the pastry off and his ears grew considerably warmer.

She took the pasty, trying to keep from laughing, "Well... you may not have gotten the whole thing to disappear..." she said with the release of a small chuckle, "But you did get the spell right." she held up the pasty, and in the cut where pumpkin filling ought to be, there was nothing. You could see straight through to the pastry. "Aperio," she said, making a small "x" motion with her wand over the pasty. The pumpkin filling revealed itself and she handed it back to Ron. "That was a good try. Keep practicing, but I will not implore you to stinge your apetite any longer." With that she used the same revealing spell on her own pasty and began to munch on it. "So, are you excited for the coming summer months?"

Ron brightened when she mentioned that the filling was gone, and his face took on an expression of pride. Accepting the treat, he took a large bite before nodding at Helia. "Oh yeah," he said, still chewing, with a roll of his eyes. "Two months spent degnoming gardens among other chores," He sighed. Though it was obvious he was quite excited to go back.
Swallowing, looking a big sheepish, he added, "What about you?"

"Well, I'll be spending the summer with my Uncle, again." She rolled her eyes. It wasn't that she wasn't excited, she was. She loved living in Diagon Alley with her Uncle and getting to walk around the square like she owned the place, having all the shop keepers know her by name and giving her special treats under the counter. What she was worried about, was breaking the news that next term she was going to have a wand shop. The very thing that has kept her Father and Uncle from speaking for... well, too long. But she got the feeling he'd take the news well. For the past six years he'd been training her in wand making, surely he didn't expect her to give up on it. "It'll be an interesting two months." That much was for sure.

Ron nodded, brushing the crumbs off his robes, though under normal circumstances he'd not bother. His robes were already in the worst-condition anyway. "That sounds wicked," he said a bit wistfully. "The most fun I'll have all holiday is playing chess with Ginny, and let me tell you, it's an easy win." He said a bit arrogantly with a grin, hoping to impress the Ravenclaw a little.
Ron had never been good with girls.
