Girty nodded and laughed and started to walk down the steps towards the common room. She hopped down the last step and felt the warmth of the fire hit her face. She looked over her back to look for Grace.

Grace watched Girty jump the last few steps and smiled. She ran down the steps to... "bet you to the fire place!" she giggled.

Girty smiled and burst out into a run. Ignoring where Grace was Girty ran flat out and jumped as a last ditch attempt to reach the fire first.
As she landed her out stretched arm hit the fireplace. Her robe fly up in the air and landed over head to prevent her from seeing anything.

Grace saw Girty flash past her. She put on a burst of speed and jumped. She landed on top of Girty and rolled off. She burst into scores of giggles and laughter. "I'm sorry!" she giggled and rolled on the floor.

Sudden pain went through Girtys back almost as if something had fell on her. She then heard laughing and Grace apologizing. She rolled over so she could see.
"You will be Miss Marks." Girty laughed and lightly kicked Grace in the side.

Grace laughed as Girty kicked her. "I really am!" she said, smiling at the roof.

Girty sat up and laughed some more.
"I'm sure you are. We should have them races more often. Who won it by the way?"
She turned to look at Grace who was smiling away.

"If i slid any further i think my arm woudl have caught fire. That would not have been funny."

Girty nodded.
"I love laughing at my own pain. A little bit of pain in the expense of making others happy that is all that matters really."
She stopped laughing and sat still with a small satisfied smile on her face.

Grace looked at Girty, she really studied her face. "The only thing that trully matters is friends!" She smiled and hugged her tightly.

"Ahhh help I'm being attacked" Joked Girty as she hugged Grace back.
"In my opinion it is the whole point of friends is to make each other happy and share problems. Otherwise then they are just your annoying cousins who you get forced to see as they are Family."

Girty new that stamen was correct but she felt in a challenging mood.
"Well you could chose some of your family as you could refuse to get married to someone as you do not like their ugly brother or if you are really rich you could divorce your parents or run away from home and get adopted by the worlds leading something in a certain area."
She laughed to herself "I have put to much though into that"
