Fagin strutted down the corridors giving evils to anyone, including teachers who didn't hop when he said hop out the way! He was in a foul mood and was going to demand an explanation from Wigglyfish about his contract. But could he find her office?
No sir.
It had to be hidden deep within the school, not within easy walking distance. He muttered darkly to himself. "Where's this bloomin office? It's about ruddy time someone made a school for the teachers not the stupid students!" So his mood gradually worsened he'd grabbed a few students and asked them directions but could they direct?
No definitely not.
"The Headmistresses office sir?" Gulped a tiny child whom Fagin had pounced on. "In the dungeons?"
"If I knew that you brainless oaf would I be asking you?" snarled Fagin glaring down at the young lad, who squirmed and stuttered
"Up, u-up th-at stair...case maybe?" stuttered the boy who promptly sped away chased by Fagin's shouts of outrage .
"Up! The Bloody dungeons are up! My God" spat Fagin roaring "How ignorant are this lot?"
Eventually after many wrong turns, Fagin reached Wigglyfish's office, he barged right on in slamming the door and snarled viciously "What looney put this flamin office here? eh? Bloody archi-people, morons the lot of 'em and I bet that Moncrieff is one to! And he's going to be the Headmaster? With these students!" he shouted increduously "We ain't got a chance in flamin hell!"
(ooc this is just what Fagin thinks!)

The Potions Professor looked quite taken aback for the several moments of Mr. Fagin's outburst, with her eyes widened at such an insolent entrance. By the time he had finished bellowing, her composure had regained it's usual unaffected sort of calm, as she stood to up to address the man. 'Why, Mr. Fagin, I hadn't expected to see you here so soon.' Her smile being one of forced politeness. 'As for the looney who put this office here-- I'm afraid you're talking to her. A seat perhaps?' She offered, immediately recognising that he wasn't going to willingly leave any time soon.

"I should think so! And the name's Professor Fagin not Mr!" replied Fagin gruffly feeling that he had been cut off in the flow of his rage. He took the comfiest looking seat and lounged in it, propping his feet up onto Wigglyfish's desk to see how she would react.
"So you admit you're a looney? That's grand, not enough people admit that these days. Now on to business, I have just had an encounter with the soon to be headmaster to discuss my contract as it were, now I demanded not unfairly a certain sum, a fair price for my services, now I'm reviewing the situation, and it if you ask me this isn't enough! So what are you going to to about this eh? hmm?"
Fagin glared across the desk at Wigglyfish trying to judge her character, and so far he was fairly imprssed.

Professor Wigglyfish hid her disgruntlement as her latest staff appointment knocked off a large pile of paperwork (which she had only finished organising minutes before) with his tatty, muddy boots. Reseating herself slowly, she raised an eyebrow as he stated his somewhat outrageous demands.
'Ah, so you have already paid a visit to Algernon then?' She frowned, hoping that he hadn't been as confrontational with the Divination Professor as with her. 'All teachers are paid equally Professor. Fagin.' She began with an unusually formal tone for a colleague. 'Most count themselves very lucky for getting into Hogwarts, and I'm sure there are plenty that would be willing to take over your job if you not happy with the wage given.'

"That's just what he flammin said! You're all alike aren't ye?" He groaned. "And do you know what I think? It's codswallop that's what, who the hell else would do Muggle studies eh? Even that Mon- fella he gave me a snide comment! Well there's no use complainin though is there? You won't bloomin budge" He grimaced sourly and scowled at Wigglyfish across the cluttered table. "This is a bloody mess ain't it, could do with tidying it up!" He laughed harshly hoping to touch a raw. "Look at all that paperwork! I sure as hell won't do all that!" He said firmly.

The Professor eyed him darkly. 'Have you ever considered that the reason we are saying the same thing is because what we've told you is true?' She stated rhetorically, not wishing for a response. 'By all means think its codswallop, but I assure you that you were not the only one applying for this job, nor perhaps the strongest candidate. But like the greatest Headmaster Hogwarts ever had, I believe in giving people chances. Do not make me look a fool.' Professor Wigglyfish was quite flushed in the face with annoyance at this point, as she once again stood up. 'Now, if there isn't anything else you wish to add Professor. Fagin, you know where the door is.' She was not amused.

Fagin was gobsmacked this was the last straw. "This is the second time I've been shown the door in one day! Is that how you solve problems? Show them the door? If I was the strongest candidate I'd eat my hat!" Scoffed Fagin he continued in a lilting voice almost songlike "Now usually I would storm out or blow up your bloomin desk, but I'm getting old, what happens when I'm sventy, eh? When the one consolation's the money you may have put by. Who will change the scene for me? Me that's who! Now when do I start? When can I move into my classroom?" he enquired pleasantly but the strain could be heard in his voice, he had a temper with no leash usually.

The Professor had to hide her grin to hear that he had already been thrown out Algy's classroom that day. 'What can I say? Great minds think alike.' She commented with the beginnings of a smirk, that soon disappeared when he continued to protest about the money. 'Your wage is very generous Professor. Fagin, and unless you are planning to live like a King in your retirement, they should do you very well.' She told him honestly. 'Now, your lessons will start officially in September with the new term, though you are free to use your office and classroom now.'

Fagin's scowl increased it seemed those two were as thick as thieves. "Living like a King is exactly what I plan my dear! I expect, ahem I mean hope my classroom will be near the Great Hall, you know I'm an old man so can't afford to wander about the whole castle!" he said sincerly hoping to twist her arm.

'Well you are in luck then.' She began, before a short pause. ' The Muggle Studies classroom is one of the few on the first floor.' The Professor said, before eyeing the parchment scattered on the floor with a exasperated sigh. 'I really must sort all this paperwork out again. Perhaps you want to go and see if your classroom is to your liking?' Not that it will be changed if you don't. She thought to herself hiding a smirk.

"As it seems you don't want my pitiful company, I may as well, my thanks for the classroom!" he said more cheerily "Cheerio!" he said and with a flourish of his long green coat he was heading for the door, though not before he snatched a potion left out on the side without anybody noticing of course. He was about to sweep down the corridor chuckling away to himself as he put his latest 'borrowing' quickly into his pocket, patting it happily. this lot are too easy he thought it's almost no challenge what-soever.

Fagin was nearly out the door, when Professor Wigglyfish quicky added. 'Oh, and perhaps with these wages of yours you would like to buy yourself a nice new starchart and watch?' She nodded towards the cherished document in his back pocket. 'I'm sure Algernon will miss his.' She said, in hope that the teacher would return Algy's objects as soon as possible.
Turning back to her work, she finally sat down once more and picked up her quill. One thing for sure, Hogwarts was going to become very interesting with such a man around.

Fagin clapped happily "I knew you'd manage it! At last somebody with some brains!" he chuckled he threw the starchart and watch onto the desk then quickly left saying "I'll be back soon!" in a sing-song voice. He swept down the corridor towards his classroom feeling much better for his little tirade, and hopefully they would now rightly fear him, just a little, but enough. His smirk made students take a wide path around him but he still managed to snatch a couple of trinkets which would be very useful at the start of next term, very good to persuade the pupils not to misbehave. He chuckled to himself as he strolled along whistling softly to himself.
