(GH)T1: The Ball

Leigh looked over at Ashlee and Kieron. He smirked underneath his mask as he finished his dance with Alana. He bowed as he let her leave, but then he noticed Draco moving towards Lisa and Fin. Then he noticed Draco saw himself. Leigh decided to ignore whar was happening as he continued his way back to AShlee.

When he made it to her, he took off his mask and kissed her hand. He smiled at her, while pulling his mask off. He then looked at Kieron and smiled.

"Hello, Kieron, how's Algernon, and where is he?" Leigh asked, placing his hand inside of Ashlee's.

She laughed, "Thanks, you're not looking too shabby yourself. Have you been able to tell who anyone else is? I never thought a masked ball would be this confusing..." she shook her head and chuckled.

Jerred laughed slightly. "Well you recognised me, didn't you?" Jerred said, his eyes roaming and spotting Kim. "Hey, I'm going to find Kim. Excuse me." Jerred nodded curtly at Helia before leaving the wall and walking directly over to Kim.

Evangeline walked into the great hall, wondering whether she'd made the right decision to come. She was wearing a white two piece dress, the corset top was figure hugging and the white skirt had the black outline of a dragon set upon it. Her mask was also white with fluffy white feathers along the edges. Her hair was down and in a mass of bouncy curls that framed her face.

Once into the great hall she looked around to see if Carrie had arrived. After failing to find her friend, she sat down at a table and ordered a drink, sipping it slowly, she watched as the rest of the school danced and laughed and she smiled to herself as she waited.

Fin had gone and found Lisa after so many times asking where she was. Kim was happy for him. And Keiron seemed to be enjoying himself now so its all very good. Though, still, he doesnt seem very shy. She looked over at the other students who were having a good time. She could barely hear herself think it was so loud.

She leant against the bar again holding her mask to her face. It wasnt a very hideful one since it only covered half her face. But she liked it. She watched the dancers again, as they regained their energy. She seriously didnt know where they got it from. She was getting tired just watching them.

She smiled broadly, "Brian?" she jumped up and hugged him. Jerred and Alana had both found dance partners so she just stood there awkwardly for a moment. "So, how're you enjoying the ball?" she asked fianlly. It wasn't much for a conversation starter but it worked.

Carrie entered the Great Hall with an excited grin on her face as she smoothed down her dress and pushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She was feeling a bit self-conscious, not one for usually wearing such a formal dress. The dress itself was strapless and a deep shade of green, that hugged her torso but flowed softly right down to the floor. Her hair was lightly curled and had been put up in a bun.

The Gryffindor held up the mask in her hand and attached it so her eyes were concealed. It too was the deep emerald green and was lined with small black feathers on one side. She peered around the hall slightly and finally spotted her friend sitting at one of the rounded tables. She hurried over to her with a huge smile. 'Hey Evangeline! You look gorgeous!' Carrie exclaimed happily.

Alana transformed her tanktop and jeans back into a dress, stood up, and began to walk around looking for someone to talk with, and possibly to dance with as well.

Lisa smiled at Fin and nodded, his hand warm against hers. "You're being awfully sweet." She said with a playful grin, letting him lead her to the dance-floor. As soon as they got there, however, she felt completely awkward. Her smile faded and she looked at Fin nervously, not knowing what to do next.

Fin looked around, and noticed all the kids dancing wildly to the loud music. 'Aw man, why can't they do a slow song? I can dance to slow songs!' He then remembered something. Of course! The Great Hall was split in two sides! One was rock, the other was slow music! Perfect! "Hey Lisa, do you mind if we, like, go over to where the music's just a little bit quieter?" He paused. "I can't really dance to rock music," he said, a little embarrassed.

Lisa looked at Fin timidly, offering him a small smile. "Sure," she said softly, hesitantly taking a few steps as he pulled her hand along. "I can't really dance to this type of music either," she said with a slight laugh.

"Well, there's something we both have in common then, eh?" Fin said, laughing slightly. As they arrived at the other end of the hall, the loud music seemed to be simply soundproofed. All he could really hear was slow music playing in the background. As the two stood there, Fin slowly, nervously, put his hands on Lisa's waist, and began to slowly rock back and forth to the music.

Lisa was about to respond when she felt Fin's hand land at her waist. Blushing, she shyly let her arms linger at his shoulders before linking around his neck. Extremely glad for the mask that hid the flush of her cheeks, she let Fin lead her, trying her best not to trip over her own feet. Or his.

'God I hope I don't trip,' he thought to himself, as he looked down at Lisa and smiled. "Hey, after the song, you want me to get us something to drink?" he asked her.

"Very good music." she said with a chuckle. "So, do you want to dance?" she asked, gesturing over to the hard rock side of the Great Hall.
