Post by Prof. Algernon Moncrieff on Jul 20, 2006 0:54:26 GMT
Algernon thought it would be nice if there was a place for all the little gay (or questioning) wizards to meet each other, so he decided to make a Rainbow Coalition! He hoped Rainer would come, but severly doubted it.
Glancing around the room, he hoped it wasn't too over-the-top. He had not decorated it himself, of course, the room had done it for him. And it showed. Every avaliable surface was either rainbow or a particularly horrible shade of purple. He had already removed the copias number of comdoms the room had provided as well. He thought, perhaps, that that was a bit too forward for the first meeting. He quickly stored them in the pockets of his robes, along with the 'Bertie Bott's' brand lubricant.
He glanced down at his watch, wondering if anyone was going to come.

((OOC: It'd be hilarious if during the meeting, all those condoms and lubricant spilled out of his pockets! The akward silence alone would cause me to die laughing. ))

Munchy was particularly worried about attending Prof. Moncrieff's 'Rainbow Coalition' meeting. Although he had spent the last twenty or so years as an open homosexual he had spent most of his life 'in the closet' working for the ministry in a high level job. Also, having had lived through much hardship in his lengthy (nigh on 350 year) life, he was cautious about sharing himself with others. Cautiously he opened the door...

Thom had stood in front of one of Moncrieff's many 'rainbow' posters for a good five minutes, mouth partly open and arms limp at his sides, re-reading the text over and over. It had taken Thom a very long time to really pay attention to the other residents of Hogwarts over years, but never before had he realised just how flamboyant nearly eight percent of the magical population was within the walls. He could imagine all the boys sitting down by the lake, gazing dreamily into each other eyes while hords of female stood behind them, looking jealous.
Thom smiled. More for him, he guessed.
Pushing open the door, Thom entered the Room of Requirement, more than curious to see what would happen...

Erika laughed as she gazed at the poster. Bout time we had one of these! she thought. She wasn't gay, but she was bi, so she figured the professor would let her attend. Chuckling to herself she pushed open the door and entered the Room of Requirement. This should be fun....

[ooc: Cool! xD I thought you were just joking about this over AIM Algy. =P You bet Wyatts coming!]
When Wyatt had first seen the posters to the 'Rainbow Coalition' around Hogwarts, his eyes had widened to a slight degree. Of course, he was pretty open about being gay and liking males, but he was surprised someone was actually having a meeting about it where everyone could meet one another. He figured it was a cool idea though, seeing as he could meet others and discuss issues and everything. So, taking a deep breath, he approached where the room was, seeing other people go in before him and following suit, opening the door and coming in with the others with a smile. 'This should turn out interesting.' He thought quietly in his head.

Beth laughed as she saw the poster on the door, and rolled her eyes as she walked in. She hadn't been sure if she wanted to go, but aleast it would be interesting, she thought, looking at the people around the room.

Helia had seen Professor Algernons posters around the school, and although she wasn't gay or bi, she knew some of her friends were and thought it would be interesting to see exactly what this was. Besides the fact that the poster had claimed 'Specialized Divinatin Techniques', and with her recent facsination with the subject she couldn't pass up the oppurtunity. She pushed open the door to the Room of Requirement and was nearly blinded by the brightly colored rainbows that met her eyes. After a moment or two of adjusting to the scenery she picked out a few of her friends there, "Hey Thom. You here for the divination stuff too?" she asked curiosuly.

"Yeah... Diviniation stuff." he laughed softly. He had in fact come to see if and how Moncrieff could possibly be sensitive. It suddenly struck him that his presence here might effect his public face of a straight male. "I'm just here to witness, is all. I don't actually intend to take part." he glanced at the gathering of gays and bisexuals, and smiled. "Trust you to show up for the Divination stuff, though! A true academic if ever I saw. Nothing stand in your way, does it?" he said, referring to the impossibly bright rainbows.

"You know me too well." she said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes. She shrugged, I dunno know, I guess it grows on you... maybe?" she looked around at the, still, startlingly bright decorations and shook her head. "I think I'm going to stick to pastels from now on."

"Haha, I think we all shall. Personally I value a life-long ability to see over a few brief moments of staring at floresent rainbows before going completely blind." he shook his head at the room's coordination. "Did you know so many people in this school were gay? I feel like I've been alseep for seven years - I don't seem to realise anything!" he walked over to her, leaning again the wall.

"Oh, not everyone's as... flamboyant? about their preferences, but I knew that there were quite a few around school." she nodded. "Seems to be catching on like wildfire..." she lookd around the room and shrugged, beginning to feel a bit out of place.

Algernon stepped out from behind a banner, smiling in surprise at the number of students assembled. And even a teacher! Strangly though, there were none of the students he had expected. Well, except for Thom Moen. That one had been kind of obvious. And Erika, she would probably have come to anything he was hosting, whether it be a formal ball-room dance party or a vampire mud orgy. Then a Gryffindor boy and a Slytherin girl he didn't know, and Helia Ollivander. But knowing her, she was probably just here for the specialized Divination techniques he had advertised. He smiled brightly at the lot of them, holding his arms out welcomingly. "Hello, everyone! I'm so glad you all came!"

Keifer walked into the room of requirement and saw people already there, he stood at the back and listened to what people were saying. He had saw the poster and had laughed hystericallly at it so he thought he'd check it out. He stood against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest and his hair perfectly organised, for a change. He stood there with a grin on his face, fighting back a giggle.
