She didn't normally skip lessons this often, but her mind was on other things. Like the certain incident at the lake, not very long ago. Chewing on her bottom lip, she sat in an unused classroom finishing off a Potions essay that was long overdue.
She twirled her quill between her fingers idly as she stared at the same sentence she had been for the past hour. Finally, she lifted her purple eyes to stare out the window instead, letting out a small sigh.

Could reading ever get boring? To a certaain extent it could. Aera had reached her breaking point. She needed out of the library and soon. But now that she was finally out what was she to do? It's not like she had any friends to talk to or hang out with. She decided to walk around the castle- alone as usual.
She hadn't done a lot of walking in a long time, and it showed. Her legs were throbbing with pain and she was beginning to develop a limp. She looked down at them with a slight frown. By the time she looked up she was already on the ground, having bumped into another person.
Clumsiness strikes again. "I am so sorry," She said to the student, a Gryffindor by the looks of her robes. She stood and helped the girl up.
((Was I godmoding? If so, please tell me so I can change it.))

((I don't think so, but I was sitting down, hehe. We'll just say I got up to do something...?))
Lisa grimaced at the potions essay. She was still on the same sentence, her quill poised uselessly on the next line. Having decided a long time ago that she was not going to finish this any time soon, she got up from her seat and began to look around the classroom. It was dusty and old, with worn frames holding no portraits.
Just as she was about to return to her troublesome essay, she found herself being knocked to the floor. Hearing the aplogy, she looked up, slightly startled. "Oh... oh, it's no problem, I'm fine." She said, accepting the help with a small smile. Her limbs were still sore from the events at the Lake and she winced as she stood up. "At least it's another excuse to forget about my essay for a while, " she said, sitting on one of the desks. "Lisa, by the way."

((Sorry 'bout that. I'm crappy at noticing those details.))
Well, at least the girl wasn't mad about it which was a major relief. The last thing Aera needed was an enemy. "Nice to meet you Lisa," she said with a congenial smile across her face. "I'm Aera." The feeling of an introduction seemed so new to her. It had been a few years since she had last done that. She was a child deprived. The words took a little while to come out. She wasn't exactly sure if she was speaking English. The words seemed so foreign.
So, the gir- Lisa, was working on an essay, for Potions. Aera was never crazy about the subject herself, but she was good at it although she never liked to admit it. She always felt a bit inferior to others for some reason and didn't like to show off just in case they tried to one-up her. She had had a minor complex about that ever since she was a child. She kept hoping that she would grow out of it, but she hadn't yet.
"I never quite liked potions myself," she said. "I'd probably try to procrastinate as well."

((lol, So am I, honestly. I always find myself having to go back and mod a post! )) Lisa noticed the girl sounded slightly hesitant, and smiled reassuringly. "I haven't found myself paying attention to any particular subject lately." A sigh escaped her lips, "And I've been working on this essay for days, though you'd never be able to tell if you read it. Sounds like I threw something together in the last five minutes." She glanced at the clock. They had some time before the next class started, and Lisa leaned back in her chair, nodding to the desk beside her as an invite to sit. "What lesson are you missing?" She asked, "Or have you got a spare?"

"I've got a spare," she admitted. Aera didn't bombard herself with classes like she did last year so that she had enough time to do... whatever she wanted to do. She didn't really like skipping classes because then she missed to much. But if she did skip a class she had someone take notes for her. She actually didn't remember the last time she skipped a class. But if she didn't remember than it mst not have affected her much.
Lisa seemed like friendly enough person. She was a Gryffindor after all. Maybe she had made a new friend, or maybe Lisa was just putting on an act. She couldn't be quite sure since they had just met. But she was sure she'd run into her again, hopefully not litterally.
Aera could still feel the pain in her legs. I was starting to subdue a bit which was a relief. She let out a barely audible sigh. "So, what year are you in?" Aera was admittedly horrible at starting conversations, or attempting to keep them going. Hopefully she didn't sound like some kind of idiot.

"Only fourth year, though I suppose I'm lucky. I don't have N.E.W.Ts or O.W.Ls to worry about." Lisa grinned sheepishly, feeling a bit ashamed. I've no spares this term, unfortunately. I'm missing an Arithmancy class as we speak." She shrugged, her eyes traveling to the window once more. The Ravenclaw seemed to study her for a moment, and she tilted back on her chair awkwardly.
"Hey, Aera. Have you ever been in the forest?" She asked, her gaze not lifting from the trees outside.

Aera did vaguely remember going into the forest one time, but she didn't really remember what happened. She only remembered being in the infirmary for a few days afterwards. 'Temporary amnesia,' the nurse said. But Aera was ready and willing to go again. It's not like she had anything better to do.
"No," she lied. "I've always wanted to, but I guess I've never gotten around to it." Aera didn't know why she just lied to Lisa. There was really no need to, but it just slipped out. That happened a lot. "How 'bout you?"

"No?" There was a slight tone of disappointment in her voice, "I haven't either. I was hoping to find someone who had, I've always wondered what it's like." She paused, finally looking back at Aera with a smile. She'd have suggested something stupidly adventurous, but remembering what happened to Erika the last time she had one of her genius ideas, Lisa kept it to herself.
"How dangerous do you think it is?" She asked casually, trying not to let how curious she was show.

Aera wasn't quite sure, but if she ended up in the infirmary than it must have been rather dangerous. "I'm not sure, but it must be pretty dangerous if it's forbidden. But that makes it all the more intriguing." Aera truly did enjoy breaking rules every now and then. It was a rush. Whenever she did break rules she had a moment when she felt unstoppable. Sure, she was part do-gooder, but she was only at Hogwarts for two and a half more years. She needed to go out with a bang.
"Well, I'm sure I'll get around to it one of these days," she told her. "Besides, I laugh in the face of danger." Her voice got a little more serious when she said that. Of course she meant it jokingly.

Lisa nodded, "The professors were mad when they named it the Forbidden Forest." She let out a small laugh, "Probably attracts the entire school."
Lisa wasn't greatly inquisitive like a Ravenclaw, but her general curiosity did lure her to the idea of trekking in the forest. She smiled to herself, her eyes twinkling with an idea and she turned back to Aera. "Yeah, I think I will as well. There's no time like the present, right?" She asked absentmindedly, her gaze returning to the window.
Aera's last remark caught her attention, and Lisa glanced over her shoulder, "Laugh in the face of danger?" She said, with a slow grin. She caught herself about to spill out her insane idea of exploring the forest, and held it back with difficulty.
Raising an eyebrow, she quickly gathered her school books and stared at Aera calculatingly. Then, she smiled, slinging her bag over her shoulder and carrying the dreadful potions essay under her arm.
"It was very nice meeting you Aera, but I've just realised there is somewhere I need to be." She raced off with one last wave, intent on preparing herself for a quick exploration of the most dangerous, yet intriguing, part of the castle grounds.
