Although in some respect Algernon agreed with Fin, he knew this wasn't the right time. "Really, Mr McFinnigan, I do think Professor Addis is due somewhat more respect than that."

"Mr McFinnigan, please leave." Leigh said, closing his eyes in annoyance. "Algernon, if you haven't realised it, then yes, I am implying something."

Algernon led the two of them away from the remaining students, looking at Addis with a close-lipped, hard expression. In a low voice. "So what are you planning on accusing me of, Professor?"

Rather than comply with the Professor's demand, Fin did not leave. He decided to just, recead into the darkness, and try to listen closely to the conversation. He couldn't make out much, but he was able to understand the general idea of what they were talking about.

"Nothing at the moment, Algernon, but if a certain Ravenclaw student does not leave at once, he'll find himself in detention with me for a week." Leigh snapped, using his Animagus senses to hear the coy student. He glowered out of the corner of his eye, then looked back at Algernon. "Seems I have to be somewhere else." Leigh bowed his head to the Divination professor and turned, heading towards the lake.

Algernon watched Leigh's retreating back quizzically for a moment, before turning to Fin with a shrug. "Well, that was weird, wasn't it?" He handed Fin back his prefect's badge with a smile. "You know... you might not need that fake one for much longer, Mr. McFinnigan."
