Keifer walked into the common room and flung himself on the chair. He had gone for a walk and exhausted himself. He was thirsty but he couldnt be bothered to move. Keifer looked around the common room to see if there was anybody around. He couldnt see anyone. He sunk lower in the chair and stared into the fire.

Algernon raised an eyebrow over the large book in his lap as a student he didn't recognize walked into the common room. He had figured he should spend time with some of his students, seeing as the few he was friendly with seemed to have made themselves scarce lately.
He stood up, placing the book on the chair as he left it.
"Hallo, I'm Professor Moncrieff, your head of house. You don't look particularly happy."

Keifer jumped at the sound of a male voice. He looked at the man for a minute before answering "Im Br.. Keifer." He said. He was about to use his last name. But quickly changed his mind. "Im alright, i just went for a very long walk to smooth my head and now... Im a little tired" He sat back down and smiled at the professor.

Algernon tilted his head to the side ponderingly. "Keifer, eh? Keifer Brently? You're the one who has been causing such trouble with our Mr. Malfoy lately." He clicked his tongue in disapproval. "Well, you look like a sensible boy. Good hair." He chuckled lightly, running a hand through his own. "So I'm sure you'd understand that it would be best to be kind to Draco. He's... a troubled boy."

Keifer smiled "I guess professor fruend-thingy told you?" Keifer could never remember that professor's name. It was a confusing one. "I am the one that has been causing trouble with Malfoy, though he normally finds me. I'm normally quiet, I can be a little shy" He smiled "I like my hair too. Yours is... nice" He didnt have a clue what to say back to that so he thought he'd go for nice. "As for being nice to Malfoy, I dont think I could. He doesn't make it easy for people to be nice to him. He's a bit more than troubled. And I just really rambled on with myself"

Algernon sat down beside Keifer, feeling a bit silly towering over him. "Yes, Prefessor Freundschaft--" The name was stressed, a reminder as much as it was painful for Algernon to speak-- "Told me. I understand that Mr. Malfoy can be a bit hard to take, but you should believe he has reason to act the way he does. He really just needs a friend, believe me. I know better than anyone."
Draco's memories still haunted him, and Algernon carefully avoided the comment about his hair. He did not need another affair with a student. Kieron still wouldn't speak to him, and besides, Rainer... well, who knew what was going on there?

"Not to sound harsh but he isnt going to get one if he doesnt give anybody a chance" Keifer pointed out. Keifer, even though was shy, he had no trouble speaking whatever was on his mind. Keifer shrugged "Well thats upto him really. If he wants a friend, i may give him another chance. He just rubs people up the wrong way." He glanced over at Professor Moncrieff. "Uhm... You okay?" he asked, he had gone all thoughtful.

Algernon focused back on Keifer, reddening slightly at his moment of distance. "Oh, yes, I'm just fine. Thank you, Mr. Brently. As to Mr. Malfoy, yes, it wouldn't be an easy task to make friends with him. But you're a Ravenclaw, yes? We're clever people." He winked. "Think of it as a challange."

Keifer looked down. "Right. Challenge. Not a problem" He looked back into the flames. Still dont get it. "Though, challenges are supposed to be fun aren't they?" He couldn't see the fun side of trying to make friends with someone like Malfoy. He'd prefer to keep his distance. Though, it would be interesting and who knows, maybe Malfoy would be okay. "I guess I could give it a shot."

Algernon clapped Keifer on the back congradulatorily. "Challanges are always fun to Ravenclaws! We think about them carefully, plan, not like silly Gryffindors who jump right in. It'll be fun, and you could be great friends in the end." He stood up, smiling down at Keifer. "I must take my leave now, Mr. Brently. Please take what I have said to heart." He made his way toward the door.

Keifer smiled "I'll take it to heart" he said thinking "This could be a tough challenge... Better get to work" He began to think. First i need to find him... Hmm wonder if i can turn him gay while im at it.. "Dont get your hopes up Keifer" he said.

Jessie walked into the common room...he was not having a good day.After running into Keifer he wanted some peace and quiet but he realised quickly that he wasnt going to get it, Keifer was sat in one of the chairs. He tried to get past without being noticed but Keifer had looked up...there was no escape. "Erm...hi..." he mumbled before sitting himself in the corner away from him incase he didnt want to see or speak to him. He got out a book and started reading.

Keifer looked at Jessie and walked over to him. He took his hands in his "Look Jez, you knew how i felt... I dont know why you left with Kai but you did. Thats in the past now. I dont know if i can trust you but i'd like to try... Friends"
Keifer thought about it "No thats silly" He didnt want him thinking he was an idiot. Still Keifer grabbed himself and walked over to him. "Jess, i couldnt forgive you ever for what you've done. But i dont want to hold a gruge on you anymore." Keifer tried but he was rubbish at trying to smooth things out "Forget it" He said before returning to his chair at the other end of the common room.

Jessie went over and sat in the chair opposite Keifer,
hes never been good at that kinda stuff he thought to himself smiling. "Its ok I know what you mean..." he felt he should try to appologise but wasnt quite sure how to do it. How do i appologise for ditching him and running off with his best friend? "Look i know what i did was... really stupid...i realise now that i never should have let you go. But its too late for that." Jessie looked down at the floor...he always did when he didnt want anyone to read his emotions.

Keifer looked at Jessie, "I know you know what i mean, but what you did wasnt stupid it was plain... Unforgivable. I dont know if i can trust you after that and its a bit late now saying you know you never should have let me go" He looked away, he hated it when Jessie looked down at the floor. He knew he was probably feeling guilty but if they hadnt run into each other Jessie wouldnt have even bothered. "So... You and Kai still in touch then?"
