Keifer smiled and stopped scratching the ferrets head. "He's adorable." he looked at her "You carry it around in your robes?" he asked "You care for him a lot dont you"

Novella nodded, cradling the ferret in her arms, Darin sticking out his small pink tongue to lick her fingers. "Of course I do... He's always been there for me, you know? I mean..." She paused for a moment, laughing, "Not that there's been so much to go through, but still... He's good company."

Novella shrugged. "Yeah, well..." She paused for a moment, staring at the ground. Finally, "I have to go," she told him, scooping the ferret back into her robes and standing up, looking down at him for a moment. "Sorry." she turned and began walking back toward the castle, still looking uneasy. It just wasn't good for her, having heart-to-heart talks. It only stirred things up, which was stupid and ridiculous. Nothing was wrong with her. Nothing had happened. She just... felt alone most of the time. But that was the way it was, and confessing to flamboyant Ravenclaws wasn't going to help.

Keifer watched her go and shouted to her "You'll always have a friend in me if you want one" he lay back down on the grass and enjoyed the warmth of the sun's rays.
