Jerred sat by the beach watching the water. He noted to himself constantly about the aloneness he was feeling right now. He made himself forcefully absent from everywhere in the few previous days to escape those who were his friends.
He felt a tear roll down his eye at the though. He wiped it away and lay down, looking into the sun not caring what happened to his eyes. He felt like nothing in his life could get worse. The absence of himself from his friends lives seems to not have affected them at all, which makes him feel jaunted.
Whispering to himself he spoke, "No one cares for me, no one ever has... doubtful if anyone will ever." He closed his eyes as he was overwhelmed with sadness as he thought about it all.
Jerred heard a few voices far off from himself, but he didn't care, why should he if the needn't bother him? Yet, he yearned to talk to someone.

Grace was a writter but lately was struggling to find inspiration. So she decided to take a walk around the lake. She watch the wave lapping on the beach. She was how the wind made the trees nearby dance like nimphs on a spring night. And then she saw someone on the beach. Should she go say hi? she thought. Yes, why not!? So she walked over to the boy in green and said, "Hi!" as she approached, "I'm Grace! You mind some company?"

Jerred sprang up, looking around and seeing a Hufflepuff girl coming towards him. His eyes were wide with shock, as the pounding of his heart in his ears proved it. He smiled wearily and nodded.
"Sure, some company wouldn't be too bad." Jerred replied.

"Great!" Grace smiled back, sitting down on the sand and looking out over the lake. She looked at Jerred for a moment then asked, "you seem upset? Want to talk about it?"

"I'm just alone... too much for my own liking. I've grown dependent on having friends. Before I made friends here I was alone and revelled in it. I've grown weak because of the dependency, whereas I was strong during the times of my aloneness." Jerred admittedm laughing a little. "But you know, there are times when people need to make new friends."

"Everyone needs friends, Jerred," Grace said, putting a hand on his shoulder, "even the most powerful wizards have friends- it makes them stronger and gives them courage. But needing to be on your own is also good," she looked across the lake in reverance and awe at it's beauty, "it helps you think and clarify who your real friends are and who are just trying to use you. You do find so people who do try, but not many luckily. It should all come right in the end." She smiled at herself, she had been pondering the same things when she was walking earlier.
