Novella Sandler wrapped her cloak tightly around her. It was chilly, but she didn't enjoy being in the Gryffindor common room much. It was ackward to watch all the other students having fun together... Sighing, Novella buried her nose into her book. She sat in the frost at the edge of the lake, kicking her feet over the ledge.

Kim had decided to go for a walk to clear her head. As she walked beside the lake she spotted a Gryffindor she hadnt seen before, or at least didnt remember seeing. She walked over to the girl and smiled. "Hiya. Im Kim. You alone?" she asked oustrecting her hand "Dont worry.. I dont bite"

Novella glanced up at the Slytherin, tucking her long brown hair behind her ear. "Well, hello!" She greeted cheerfully, though her eyes were careful, appraising Kim. "I'm Novella."

Kim smiled at her again. "Im a Slytherin your a gryffindor.. Probably wondering why im being nice?" she asked. She leant against a tree "Im not all bad and you looked sorta lonely. And i was out and about." She laughed "Im not usual arrogant slimeball slytherin like some i could mention"

Novella laughed, flushing at the fact that Kim had guessed what she was thinking. "Well... Sorry about that. Gryffindors don't speak very nicely about Slytherins, so I just thought... Sorry." Suddenly a large white ferret stuck its nose out of the coller of her robes, and she giggled, pulling him out. "Have a nice nap, Darin?" she asked it, tweeking its nose.

"Dont worry about it" she smiled "There are a few of us that are alright. Just a couple you gotta watch out for. Brian and Jerred are cool. They arent your typical Slytherins. Well they can be but only with each other. Its Malfoy you got to be wary of. He's a.. prat. Even to us." She looked at the Gryffindor, Kim knew that she felt uneasy around her. She didnt blame her either. She watched the ferret. "Cute Ferret" she said, then wondering where bouncer had gotten to. She was always losing that dog.

L.C was on her 3rd lap around the huge lake and decided to take a breather. Lauretta then saw two of her fellow students and then said " Hi I'm Lauretta, but friends call me L.C"

Novella looked nervously at the new Slytherin girl who had walked up. One was fine enough, but... she was beginning to feel attacked! "Err... hi, L.C. I'm Novella. And this is Darin!." She manipulated one of the ferret's front legs so it apprared to be waving.

"Oh what a cute little ferret" L.C said looking at the adorable animal. "I'm sorry I got side tracked, I think ferrets are so cute, I used to have one named Bueler, he died" she finished the long sentence sadly.

Kim nodded "Uh huh" she didnt really know what else to say. "Sorry" she glanced around the grounds. She still couldnt find him. "He'll turn up somewhere" she muttered to herself.

Draco scowled as he tightened his scarf around him. Inside it was terribly boring so he had risked going outside in the cold to find something to do. His scowl deepened when a chilly wind hit his face, his cheeks numbing and was just about to go back into the castle when he spotted a group of girls. He smirked slightly before walking over to them, smoothing out his robes.

Kim looked over as she saw someone coming towards them. She recognised the colour of the badge, realising it was a slytherin. Then she saw the blonde hair and as he came closer, the grey eyes. Malfoy. "Oh.. great. Brilliant." She looked to Novella "Thats the guy i was telling you to be wary about.. One of the more pratty slytherins"

She didnt take her eyes off malfoy. She so didnt want him over here, last time they talked, it didnt end to good. Still he didnt seem like he was stopping anytime soon.
(Had to mod since i didnt read L.C's post properly and kinda seemed to have read her mind)
