It being a perfectly good day to waste, Adrian had found himself outside this time, having found nothing more interesting inside the castle apart from students studying or traveling in large groups to keep warm. Already he was halfway across the lawn of snow, kicking it up as he went looking for something interesting in the sea of white. He had almost given up hope before he saw the partly frozen lake and came up with an idea.
He jumped the rest of the way, leaving large crushed-in snow points until he had reached the bank of the immense lake. Taking out his wand he tapped his shoes and stepped out onto the ice, sliding a ways. The lake was hardly frozen to stand on, yet here he was skating about it, doing circles in every what way.

Alana walked out to the lake. She saw a Hufflepuff boy skating on the frozen surface. "Hey," she said extending her hand. "I'm Alana. Who are you?"

He slid up to the girl, stopping just short. For a moment he rubbed his freezing hands together before shaking hers. "I'm Adrian," he told her. "Be careful," he pointed downwards, "the ice isn't very thick."

"Not a problem" Alana replied smiling. Closing her eyes, she held out her right hand over the ice and felt the power flow from her body she heard the tell-tale crack that signified that the lake was now frozen solid.

"I don't understand what that means," he said looking oddly at what she had just done. With a shrug he pushed back on what foot, sliding away across the ice again.

Alana smiled. "I'm a vampire so I have more powers than the average wizard. I also have the ability to do wandless magic"

He stopped once again and looked at her more carefully. "I, didn't think vampires had such abilities," he said simply, watching her.

Adrian shrugged. "All right, fair enough I suppose," he said sliding past her and stopping at the bank of the lake. He stepped off the frozen water and onto the snow with a crunch. "I'm going back to the castle, its getting a bit much out here for me," he told her with a wave.

"Bye" after Adrian left Alana began skating around, pulling her arms in close to her body, she pushed off on her right foot and threw herself into a triple lutz. Her landing was perfect. She did it again except this time after she landed she went into a triple axel.

Rakki cautiously made her way down to the lake. It was cold out (although it was warmer out here than it was in the common room) but she didn't mind. Cold weather never affected her.

Alana had just landed her Axel when she saw a Slytherin First Year headed toward her.

Rakki shook her head and looked at the frozen lake. A girl, who looked to be in grades much higher than her, was looking back at her. "... Uh, hi." Was all she said as she neared the lake.
