Sierra sat by the lake, the wind blowing her blonde hair. She tucked a peice behind her ear and looked up at the stars. She sighed, wishing she had someone to talk to.

Carrie was on one of her random wanderings of Hogwarts grounds, when she found herself out in the cold wind by the lake. She peered out across the lake for a few minutes, when she suddenly gave a shiver.
The Gryffindor turned around so she was no longer facing the wind, when she noticed a lone figure sitting on a nearby boulder. Carrie slowly made her way over to the other student, and soon found that it was a ravenclaw. 'Hey there, want some company?' She asked kindly giving a smile.

"Sure," she said with a smile, glad that she wasn't alone anymore. "I'm Sierra, I'm new."

'I'm Carrie.' She said with a grin, offering her outstretched hand. 'So how are you finding Hogwarts so far?' The Gryffindor asked with a smile, as she peered at the castle almost lovingly.

She shook the girl's hand. "Uh it's okay...I seem to be having trouble meeting people though."

'Ah you shouldn't worry about it.' The Gryffindor began reassuringly. 'Its always hard at the start, it was the same for me when I first got here. You'll soon know everyone!' She said with a smile.

'Too long ago..' Carrie said with a small chuckle but looking at the castle cheerily all the same. 'You'll learn to love it.' She added, nodding towards Hogwarts. 'Its a great place - have you had a chance to explore it a bit yet?' She asked intrigued.

Carrie did a pretend gasp. 'I'll have to take you around some time!' She said eagerly. 'Even after six years of wandering about, I certainly don't know half the places in Hogwarts!'

'Tell you what.' Carrie began with a grin. 'How about a little exploring now?' She paused for a short thought. 'There must be somewhere that you've heard about and would like to see.'
