((ooc; This is for Kieron and I... please dun post =D))
Algernon stomped across the grounds, kicking rocks indescriminatly in his path.
Oh, wonderful. Rainer was an asshole but he couldn't help but really, really like him. He loved Kieron, but Kieron was furious with him for sure, and he... well... he couldn't stay, could he? And Ollivander was furious, Draco too, that poor boy...
He continued down to the lake, lost in thoughts.

Though Algernon probably didn't know it, Kieron was also walking to the lake, hands in his robe pockets and his face downcast, himself hoping as well for some time to think. Okay, so maybe he made a fool of himself in front of the divination class by yelling at him. Maybe it wasn't the best thing to do. But thats what he always seemed to do lately. Regret everything that he'd done. Perfect. And the divination teacher probably would ignore him again, just like he had done, but now it'd be worse because of him getting angry. So much worry. Eck.
Reaching the shore of the lake finally, his feet crunched under a very thin layer of snow, which still allowed the ground to show somewhat. Already this November, Mother Earth had blessed Hogwarts with a somewhat cold winter greeting, and the edges of the lake were already lightly starting to freeze from the dropping tempuratures. Although he hated the cold, he loved the snow. It always looked so pure, and he remembered how he would always play in it when he was a little boy. It wasn't tainted with the impurities of the world like everything else was. Sitting near the shore after trying to find the driest spot possible, he glanced out at the gray-tinted sky, although he didn't mind if his robes got a little wet. Maybe it would snow more. He sure hoped so.
Maybe now, he could have some peace. Work out his thoughts a bit.

Algernon stands at the edge of the lake, the cold wind blowing his cloak up around him. He whispers a spell, conjuring a cigarette into his hand. It is already lit. He slips it into his mouth, breathing in deeply.
This is what there is...
Algernon has always believed in fate.

Kieron finally decided to get up, chestnut-coloured hair feathering softly in the wind and his body rising up gracefully from the ground. Taking a few steps, he hears the snow crunching beneath his feet, the snow being tainted from the undersides of his shoes. It's almost a painful noise to him, like something being harmed when it shouldn't be, although it would melt eventually. Thats how everything was in the world. It grows, it lives, and it dies. Kind of like love I guess. Kieron thought to himself with a frown, his eyes suddenly widening and his steps faltering. In front of him was Algernon, taking a long breath in from a cigarette, looking out towards the lake. Taking in a long shaky breath, he offered a chuckle. "Hm. I didn't know you smoked, Algernon." He spoke finally, looking back out to the lake, earrings tinkling a little in the wind and hands still in his pocket. Just watch! He'll ignore you again like before! A voice hissed into his head. He shook it away.

Algernon does not turn to look at him. He takes a long drag, letting the hand holding the cigarette fall to his side as he exhales over the lake, gazing out over it as the smoke disippates.
"Everyone smokes in France," he answers.

"Hmph. Should've figured that was the reason why." Kieron replied dully, turning his head to look at the man whose gaze did not meet his own, remembering France like it was yesterday.
"No reason you should do it though. You know how bad that is for your lungs? Terrible. I've seen pictures of wizards with diseases from those things. Not a pretty sight." Looking back at the lake, he slanted his eyes. "Anyways, what /is/ wrong with you lately Algernon? I apologize for yelling like that at you in your class, but still..you can't ignore me forever like you've been doing. I mean, what? Did I do something to upset you? I want you to talk to me." Shaking his head again, he looked once more to the side at the older man, cigarette still in Algernons fingers of his one hand he notices.

Algernon is silent for a moment.
Suddenly, he throws the cigarette angrily into the lake, whirling to face Kieron. "Did you ever think it was possible I just can't deal with you right now? You don't know what's been going on! You don't understand, you couldn't and I just don't know what to do anymore! You're just a kid, anyway."

Kieron had been trying til now to hold in all his anger.
You know what? Screw it.
"EXCUSE ME? Calling me a kid?! I'm sixteen, for Merlins sake Algernon! I'm almost graduating! I'm not some five year old that doesn't understand one thing like you may think I am somehow!" Kieron yelled, twisting all the way around to face Algernon with a very pissed off and hurt face from his comments. "And you haven't been telling me whats going on with you lately, so how the hell /am/ I supposed to know huh? Am I just supposed to automatically know whats been going on in your life?! I don't think so!
And I could understand if you'd just talk to me! I mean, no, I couldn't be your supposed /lover/ could I? Le gasp! What a tragedy!" He replied at the last part with a very dragged sarcastic tone, piercing glaring daggers into Algernons own eyes as he continued on. "I could help you, but /no/! You say you just supposedly can't /deal/ with me right now, but why didn't you tell me that earlier huh? Make it sooner and less harsh instead of having me go through a hell lot of confusion because of you blowing me off without me knowing anything!" The sixth year turned away, not even wanting to look at the other man.

Algernon stared at the hunched shape of Kieron's back, torn between placing his hands on those shoulder blades, skin he knows, has felt before, and fleeing.
He is scared the warmth of Kieron will shock him back, away. And though he is sure this would be the better thing, he can't help but wanting to go on.
"I'm sorry." He says simply, calmly. He closes his eyes against tears which will not come.

Kieron's gaze shifted downward, but his head turned to the side to look at the man that was behind him. "Well." He paused for a moment, a somewhat hurt gaze still on his face. "It's alright. I'm just..concerned for you Algernon. Thats all. It's normal for me to be, right?" The wizard replied, looking back out at the lake, not expecting a response to his meaningless question. A small snowflake suddenly hit Kieron's nose, and he glanced up at the sky as a light shower of snowflakes began to fall across the lake. That is what he wanted. But not at that time.

Algernon nods, his eyes still closed. "Yes... normal to worry. Normal."
But, maybe... that isn't what I want.
"I'm... sorry I can't alleviate your fears. You shouldn't have to worry about me... I'm alright. For the most part." He turns to Kieron, smiling. "Oh, yes, I'm alright. No need to worry, no reason to." The snow trails a light coat on his head and shoulders, and he looks up, shivering.
Staring at the sky: "Oh, yes. Worry about yourself. This is what I was worried about, anyway. Spend too much time thinking about me and not enough about yourself, friends, school work."
Make it about him. It's easier that way.

Kieron shrugged and continued looking towards the sky as snow fell apon them in an endless dance."For the most part? Great, that makes me feel better about trying not to worry about you." The boy grunted, kicking the snow at his feet with a light air.
"Yes. I /do/ think about schoolwork, friends, and even about myself sometimes. But I think about you too, which is normal enough. Theres no need to worry about me thinking about you too much. I have other things that are on my mind too." He replied, suddenly picking up a soft pile of snow and letting it slip out the cracks of his fingers out into the wind. Suddenly getting an idea, he reached down and picked up a huge glomp of snow, rolling it together into a ball and throwing it at Algernon, it hitting him on the side. The gryffindor chuckled in amusement, placing his now cold hands in his robe pockets as he raised a slight eyebrow. "Feel up for a snowfight?" He hoped maybe it'd make the situation more relaxed.

Algernon stared at Kieron incredously for a moment, before brushing the snow from his robes angrily. "You see? This is exactly what I'm talking about. How can you expect me to talk about anything with you when you act like such a child. It isn't your fault, it's mine. I should have known when I got myself into this. You're sixteen, after all, I shouldn't have expected you to be able to carry on a mature relationship. Find someone your own age, Kieron. I'm sure he will have snowball fights with you." Algernon turns and walks away, feeling entirely empty.

Kierons heart suddenly stopped in its tracks, his eyes widening. "But…I was just…" He stuttered.
Oh Merlin. No, NO! What have I done! He thought in his mind, panicking.
The sixth year then closed his lips, staring in shock at the man walking away from him, not even able to say anything at all, his whole body trembling. So, it was over. Just like that. Because of his supposed 'maturity' level, his love for months was now walking away from him and ending their relationship. Merlin. What a fool he was to think that he could be with him.
But thats how love was, right? It lives, it grows, and then it dies.
"You know what? Fine! Walk away from me just like that and end everything! I was just hoping to lighten up the mood more a bit and then you do this! I hope the next guy you fall in love with really breaks your heart! I really hope he does!" He yelled angrily to Algernon, eyes slanting further. Feeling threating tears on the corners on his eyes, he closed them quickly and turned away, walking down the lakeshore and not looking back at the retreating figure that once made him happy. His heart was crumbled. But then he thought to himself. Maybe I /am/ a child.
