"I know," Grace smiled at Bog. She wanted to see him smile, as soon as he did, she would believe what he said.

Boggleworth smiled broadly "another butterbeer?" he asked courteously, he then took her hand in his and squeezed it tight "is there anything you want to talk to me about?" he asked thinking back to when he had left the common room to talk to Munchy one evening. "anything to get off your chest?"

Grace smiled wider when Bog smiled. Then he asked the dreaded question. He wasn't specific but she knew it was about what had happened in the common room when he had left. Her smile faded and she frowned at her full mug. "No, nothing!" Grace lied. She had wanted to tell him but she felt now was not the time.

"I have been dreaming about my-" Grace closed her eys and took a deep breath "-my dad." She opened her eyes and looked into Bog's. "He's always telling me that- he sets me up for failure and tells me I'm him and going to end up like him." She broke eye contact with Bog and stared at her mug. Without realizing, Grace had put her hand flat on the table with her eldow at her sides. "I don't want to become him, Bog, I don't!"

Boggleworth's heart went out to Grace, he couldn't stand to see her in turmoil and upset, "you won't! don't worry, you are you, Grace the most wonderful person I know and nothing, absolutely nothing can change you. You won't be anything like your dad if you don't want to be!" he held Grace's hand, squeezing it lightly, trying to look into her eyes and to somehow rid her of all her anguish and torment.

Grace squeezed Bog's hand in acknowledgment and smiled a small, lob sided smile at him, but avoided his eyes. They were filled with hope and encouragement. She didn't want to see any of it. She knew she was spoiling the date and didn't want any of that either. So she smiled a charming smile and met Bog's eyes. Having done that she didn't quite know how to change the subject. So she voiced the first thing that came to mind, "made any new friends lately?"

she wants to change the topic he thought she doesn't want to disrupt the date but I just want to see her happy "well if you insist!" said Boggleworth jovially "any new friends, erm, Fin I suppose, d'you know him?" but then he went back and said "you sure you don't want to talk about family? I wouldn't mind in the slightest, anything to make you happy!"

Grace shock her head, "had a few classes with him but never spoken." She was avoiding the question but she thought that crule, "you and Girty and Keifer and everyone here are all the family I'll ever need." She smiled. This is not the place to speak of such things, Grace thought.

Boggleworth could see Grace didn't want to carry on the old family line of talk "I'm glad you think that! cause you're the only family I need too!" he grinned very pleased that Grace that way, "yeah we are like one big happy family really with problems and all!" he smiled broadly as he took another sip of his butterbeer.

"Don't go shy on me Grace!" whispered Boggleworth "just be yourself like me! So, we the both of us need to organise the Huff quidditch team, don't we? it'd be great working together, not just as an excuse to be together but to actually improve our chances of winning, from no chance to a teeny weeny chance! actually that's being optimistic!" he chortled

Optimistic, she thought, possibly. "We should practice," she thought aloud, "I've been having private lessons and getting house points, I'm really enjoying 'em."

"Well, I don't mind," Grace said, smiling, "but Prof Black might not enjoy me inviting friends. He's a very solitary man, or so I gather. Either that or he's very shy." She giggled.
