Draco walked through Honeydukes, his eyes scanning the stacked shelves with interest, before stopping in front of one stocked with peppermint toads. He grinned slightly as they hopped around, watching them for a minute before picking up a few adding them to the pile in his hands.

Carrie had been in Honeydukes for several minutes, and was amusing herself with plotting what sort of trick sweets she should take back home to "accidently" give to her sister, next time she was annoyed by her. She was just reading the directions on the Tongue Twister Treats (that did exactly what the name implied to her delight) when she saw a familar face going to explore the shelf next to her.
Malfoy was watching the peppermint toads and smiling to himself as they hopped about. Well heres a first.. Malfoy grinning and having a nice time whilst I busily scheme.. Carrie thought to herself with a smirk.
Smirk.
Theres a point..
Malfoy, for probably about the second time in his life was geniunely smiling rather than smirking. Carrie looked again as he watched the lively frogs, and was just about to comment something to the affect of "small things please small minds" when she thought better of it and took a more tactful approach. 'Wouldn't have thought you to be one with a sweet tooth Malfoy.' She simply said, keeping her eyes on the various products in front of her. Surely he can't get an argument out of that one. The Gryffindor pondered to herself with a smile.

The voice startled him, but he immediately recognized it and his grin faded into a small smirk. "Are big, bad Slytherins not allowed to indulge once in a while, McEwan?" He asked, the corners of his lips lifting slightly, as he glanced in her general direction before looking back at the shelves in front of him.
Letting his hands sift through the pepper imps, he made a face, "And anyway, candy's what keeps me sweet." His smirk grew and he finally looked at her, mirth dancing in his eyes.

'Why of course they are, Malfoy.' Carrie began, an amused smile playing on her lips. 'Lets just say I wasn't expecting a "big, bad Slytherin" to be finding so much fun in.. well.. a toad.' She eyed the peppermint sweet as it began hopping up the Slytherin's arm, her mouth forming a grin.
Eyebrow still raised from Malfoy's second remark, she turned her attention away from the stand and stood facing him. 'You are obviously not eating enough candy then..' Carrie commented trying to hide her smile. '..because it doesnt seem to working.' The Gryffindor said with a playful laugh, maintaining the somewhat friendly air.

"Been spying on me then, McEwan?" Draco said teasingly, his gaze also drifting toward the bundle in his hands. His smirk had faded into a small grin, completely against his will and knowledge, with the Gryffindors last remark, and he looked up from the squirming toad.
"Not enough? You think so?" Draco said, gesturing to the generous amount of candy in his arms. "Hmm," He scanned the shelves thoughtfully, before looking back at McEwan with his smirk back in place. "Well, better to be bitter than pudgy." He concluded with amusement, shrugging. "I mean, I do have to keep up the Malfoy reputation of being absolutely stunning."
He took a couple of steps forward, walking just past her, and then looked at his hands, pretending to think over his purchases while waiting for her response, another smile threatened to capture his lips.

Carrie resisted the urge to laugh as she shook her head at the passing Slytherin with one hand on her hip. 'Me?? Spy on you??' She began incredulously, turning slightly as she watched him with a smirk. 'You wish Malfoy.. You wish.' Her lips returning to the former smile.
She soon found herself rolling her eyes however, as a typically arrogant comment came issuing out the Slytherin's mouth. Carrie once again seemingly turned her attention back to the shelves before adding. 'My, my.. it really does seem to be a day of wishing for you, eh, Malfoy?' The Slytherin gave her an odd expression. 'What I mean to say is.. you? stunning..?' She eyed him up and down appraisingly with one raised eyebrow. 'If you say so.' Carrie added. No point giving him the satisfaction of knowing what I actually think.. She thought to herself with a smile.

Draco set the items on a stand in front of him, and crossed his arms loosely over his chest. "I do say so," he said, a hint of playfulness in his voice slightly taking away from the arrogance of that statement. "And I hardly ever make wishes, McEwan," he added, "I don't ever find the need to, considering I usually get whatever it is I want." He smirked at the expression on the Gryffindor's face.
Then, after a moment, he looked toward her hands, his eyes reflecting his slight curiosity. "Now that you know my secret peppermint toad obsession, I think it's only fair I get to see what you're buying, don't you?" He said, looking back up at her with raised eyebrows. "And you Gryffindors do always play fairly, isn't that right?"

Carrie eyes were bright as she smiled at the Slytherin before her. 'Whats that, Malfoy? You wish to see whats in my hand?' She laughed slightly, before giving out a small sigh. 'Well I suppose its only fair like you say.'
Pushing rebellious strands of hair away from her eyes, Carrie opened out her hands to reveal a small supply of squeaking sugar mice under an assortment of various trick sweets. Tilting her head slightly to one side she took a step closer, and watched as Malfoy leaned in to take a look at what she was holding. 'Do I get your approval Mr. Malfoy?' She teasingly asked after a moment or two.

Draco looked at McEwan for a moment, before she took a step closer and held out her hands. Smirking, he caught her eye, before turning to the small pile gathered in her palms. "Hmm," He said thoughtfully, looking back up at her with a raised eyebrow, "Lets see."
He reached out a hand and picked out one of the 'Tongue Twister Treats', watching it with delight, and sending the Gryffindor a bemused, yet slightly impressed, look. Then, placing it back in her hands, he glanced at her amusedly, "For the most part," He said finally, "See these here?" He picked out one of the 'squeaking sugar mice' and made a face. "They aren't any good..."
Taking one of his peppermint toads, he paused, considering the girl for a brief moment, before laying it in her outstretched hand, closing her fingers over it gently. Then, with a smirk, he put the sugary rodent back on one of the shelves, gathered his things, and walked away.

A smile played on Carrie's lips as she watched the retreating figure of Malfoy. She glanced back at the shelves where her original choice of the sugary mice were situated, then slowly opened her fingers to peer at the small toad that has been placed there. Why not. The Gryffindor thought to herself as she gave a slight shrug. Grabbing several more of the lively peppermint sweets, she pulled her purse out of her pocket to finally make her way over to the counter.
Moments later, Carrie was leaving the shop with a satisfied grin as she clutched the small bag of treats in her hand.
Honeydukes had turned out to be quite fun afterall.
