(( Continuation of Banishing into Boredom ))
Thom counted the gold galleons in his hand, jostling them about so that they clicked and scraped each other noisily. He was worried, for they were in fact no where near real currency. He had spent many hours over the past few weeks mixing potions and casting spells so that they looked and felt as authentic as possible, but as always there was something not quite right - they were cracking.
Merlin's nose had a huge jagged line running now it, and the wizard stared at him reproachfully. "This won't work, you know." he said up at Thom. "Shop keepers aren't fools!"
Thom swore and stuffed the money into his pocket. The sun had gone in since his discovery of Carrie McEwan at the lake, and the sky was now white churned with grey and a mild breeze had developed. Glancing eagerly down the street, Thom kept a look out for the Gryffindor.

After leaving the lake's shore, Carrie had headed straight for the Gryffindor Common Room to grab a few things for the trip to Hogsmeade. After spending an annoyingly long time looking for her purse in the dorms (when it had been in her cloak pocket the whole time), it was already time to travel down to the village. With a pocket filled with some money, and a hopefully helpful book held firmly under her arm, she left the castle, pulling her cloak a bit closer as the breeze blew against her.
She was soon walking up the main street of Hogsmeade, and quickly spotted Thom glancing around himself, presumely for her. 'Hey there Thom.' She said with a smile, as soon as she was close enough for him to hear. 'Ready for some broom shopping?'

Ethelion roamed the streets of Hogsmede. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, but he wanted to have a final class and he needed some inspiration as to the topic. Imagine his surprise when he came upon a Hufflepuff clutching counterfit money in his greedy little fist!
He came up behind the boy as another girl joined him, pulling out his wand and silently accio-ing the false coins. They flew into his out-stretched hand protesting loudly, and Ethelion looked down at Thom loomingly. "You're lucky I found you before anyone from the ministry did, Hufflepuff. I will merely take points from your house, they'd throw you into Azkaban -- or worse. 20 points from Hufflepuff."
