[glow=FF7F50,2,300]Charity walked into the classroom awaiting the arrival of the students. She opened a few windows as the room was quite hot and she was sure the students wouldnt be relaxed if they were in a very hot room.
She went and sat behind her desk, sorting through various books and thinking which would be the best way to introduce Arithmancy to the students. She wasnt sure if any of them had ever looked into Arithmancy before and was keen to teach them, if they wanted to be taught.
The door opened and a few students made their way into the classroom, quite loudly, as they took their seats. "Hello! I am Professor Dria'Kin. Please make yourselves comfy and the lesson will begin shortly"[/glow]
(ooc: twas a bit unreadable lol)

She walked into the class in an unusually cheery mood, "Morning Professor," she greeted with a smile as she took a seat near one of the open windows, gazing lazily out at the snow covered grounds of the school.

Aileen walked into the classroom with somewhat of a light happiness to her steps. Looking around, she noticed that a couple of students had already arrived, although class hadn't started yet it seemed. "Good morning professor!" She greeted politely, taking a nearby empty seat that she spotted. She was excited to see how the class would go, and the professor seemed nice enough. Taking off her usual plaid cap that she wore, out of politeness for being in a classroom, she placed it under her desk and fixed a couple of messed up hairs atop her head from taking it off.

Lisa yawned, stretching her limbs as she walked into the classroom. She offered the professor a wary smile before seating herself next to the cluster of students who had just arrived.

Fin arrived, in quite a hurry, from the hallway where he had just met some Hufflepuff boy, whose name he had already forgotten. He noticed Lisa, and gave her an enthusiastic wave.

Lisa looked over at Fin, waving back. She pointed to a nearby empty desk, looking suddenly shy, and offered a small smile.

Adrian entered the classroom, and stood in the doorway a moment before stretching loudly, clearly showing a nearly completely bandaged left arm. He stood another moment scratching his chest before moving into the rows of desks to find a seat.

Fin smiled back sincerely, and walked over to the seats that Lisa was gesturing towards.

Charity smiled at the students. She sat on the edge of her desk. "Welcome to Aritmancy. This subject is not an easy one nor is is over difficult. It takes a lot of concentration and an understanding to some degree. Now does anyone know what Aritmancy is?" She asked. More out of curiosity than expecting them to know.

She raised her hand airily, "Isn't Arithmancy the study of how numbers correspond to magic? Like how three and seven are powerful magic numbers, thirteen corresponds with bad luck and eight is strong in supporting other numbers?" She hadn't really done much Arithmancy at Hogwarts so she wasn't sure if she was babbling pointlessly or not, but she hoped that the few books she had read about the subject were not total wastes of time.

"Yes it is. 10 points to ravenclaw" she walked around a bit before speaking again "Arithmancy. A term from the greek Arithmos meaning number and manteia meaning divination. Arithmancy, relating to divination by interpretation of numbers and letter values. It is concerned with the science of correspondences between gods, men and numbers as taught by Pythagoras" She looked around "Arithmancy is also considered a forerunner of numerology. Numerology, Arithmancy and Divination. All three are linked. Like the young ravenclaw girl said, Arithmancy is the study of numbers and how they correspong to magic. Numerology is ancient and sometimes sacred act of divination. Arithmancy and numerology when linked with divination can fortell certan events"

Kim decided it was time to get back to lessons. She snuck inside hoping the teacher wouldnt realise her lateness. She sat and listened, glad now she came here. Arithmancy, numerology and divination linked? Could be interesting.

Jerred saw Kim come in and got out of his chair quietly, and made for the spare seat next to her. He had already listened to the teacher, so he thought he may as well pay Kim some attention. He sat down next to her, quickly kissed her cheek and smiled at her.
"Hey!" He whispered, while waiting for the class to continue.
