Carrie cursed under her breath as she tried to wipe the dirt on her front away. She started to vigorously scrub at it. 'Bloody. Poltergeists.' She stated to herself as her knuckles began to become pink with scrubbing.
It had not been Carrie's best day in Hogwarts. She had forgotten to do her charms homework, and in the panic of it all made the mistake of running down the "Ghost Grotto" as it become to be known. This particular corridor was avoided by the older students as they knew certain ghosts liked to set up mischievious pranks that were apparently "hilarious" and "pure genius".
Carrie begged to differ.
She went rushing down this corridor, without a second thought, simply looking for a short cut to the common room. Who would think that the corridor floor was actually covered in the slippiest of mud?
Obviously not Carrie.
So, after spectacularly sliding 10 foot across the corridor floor she went crashing into a coat of arms to the complete amusement to a group of seventh year slytherins- who obviously didn't lift a finger to help.
So here she was - managaing to avoid any more spectators, she had found herself on a fifth floor corridor - not somewhere she walked that often. The Gryffindor looks at her sore fingers and suddenly stopped in the middle of corridor.
She slapped herself on the forehead - adding her head to the list of slight pain. 'Magic.' She whispered frustratedly to herself wondering why she hadn't thought of it straight away. She pulled her wand out of her robe and looked at it with a sigh. Scourgify. She frowned as her robe remained covered with dirt. Scourgify. She wiggled her wand about and furrowed her eyebrows in annoyance. Scourgify! Scourgify! Scourgify! The brown stain on her robe was not leaving anytime soon.. in fact it had managed to spread all across her torso and was started to turn into a wonderful shade of fluorescent green.
'Bloody. Magic.' She stated with another annoyed sigh.

Outright laughing, Draco watched the whole show as the Gryffindor slid across the muddy floor and tried in vain to rid herself of her stained robes. Finally controlling his laughter, he walked toward the girl, grinning as she attempted to magic the stain away.
"Having trouble, there, McEwan?" He asked innocently, his gaze landing on a streak of mud lingering near her cheekbone. "Clumsy, aren't we? But don't worry, I won't hold it against you. You are a Gryffindor after all; it's only expected.

"And it's expected that Slytherings are arrogant prats." Leigh said, striding down the hallway and checked upon the girl. "Are you ok?" He asked the Gryffindor girl, concern found in his voice.
He returned his attention to Malfoy. "If you wish to stand there and remain a fool, then please, do so, or you can run away and find something else to use your time with."

'Yeh I'm fine.' Carrie replied appreciately to the Hufflepuff Head of House. 'And I wouldn't bother trying to move Malfoy, Sir..' She began, glaring at the slytherin ever so slightly. 'Hes got a barge pole so far stuck up his own arse, he couldn't move even if he tried.' Carrie was just about to walk away when she turned to face Malfoy with a small smirk playing on her lips. 'Oh, and Malfoy, you should consider removing it some time-' She paused. 'You never know, you could actually turn out nice.' The Gryffindor once again gave a pause as if she was considering the idea, before giving out a loud laugh and shaking her head at the slytherin in her amusement.

Draco's eyebrows rose, before he sent a glare the Gryffindor's way. "I have no such thing stuck up any part of my body," he said indignantly. Then, crossing his arms over his chest, he straightened his back and lifted his chin the air superiorly.
"And, for your information, I am nice." He said arrogantly, narrowing his eyes at the scoffs that reached his ears and glaring at the Seventh-year Slytherins that lounged uselessly at the end of the hallway.

It seemed the pair of them had gathered quite a crowd from their "conversation", and Carrie couldn't help but smirk at the communial scoffs that resulted from Malfoy's words. She was particularly amused to see that several slytherins were amongst them doing it. 'You.. nice' The Gryffindor repeated with a sceptically raised eyebrow. 'I'll believe that when I see it.' She stated in an almost challenging manner as she folded her arms triumphantly.

Draco noticed the challenging tone in Carrie's voice and glared, his fingers curling into fists. "I have nothing to prove to you," he finally decided, looking away from the triumph in the girl's eyes.
"Not to mention, I'm only nice to people who deserve it. Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs," he looked toward the professor who had also seemed amused at his previous comment, "are definitely not on that list." Then, slightly embarrassed, he forced himself to regain an indifferent composure and looked at McEwan appraisingly before offering her a small smirk.

Noticing that the worse was over, the few spectators that had gathered began to wander away. About time too. The Gryffindor thought to herself before coming back to the situation at hand. Malfoy looked to have returned to his usual calm composure and no longer seemed to look at Carrie's presence in disgust, but mere indifference.
One side of her mouth lifted into her usual cheeky half smile as she considered the slytherin for a moment or two. 'I never know quite what to make of you.' She admitted out of the blue, choosing to ignore his comment about who hes nice to and unsure why she would say such a thing in the first place.

"Well it's your choice to have friends, Mr Malfoy. Now, enemies, now that's a far worse thing to have as you'd know, especially in your own House, I presume." Leigh said, stating the obvious. "Just a suggestion on your arrogant behaviour from now on, you'll change it or find yourself in Detention faster than you can say the schools name, is that understood?"

Draco looked up at McEwan, his mouth open and ready to reply a snappish retort about having a complex personality, something a Gryffindor wouldn't understand, when Addis, whom Draco had momentarily forgotten about, decided on that moment to speak up.
Shifting his gaze from the Gryffindor, somewhat reluctantly as another threat from Addis was hardly appealing, Draco rolled his eyes. "This coming from someone who has his fair share of enemies?" He said airily, letting his arms fall back to his sides. "And yes, it is my choice to have friends, and the type of people I choose to befriend. It isn't my fault there isn't anyone around here worthy of my presence." He said superiorly with a smirk.

"Everyone has enemies, Malfoy. Only naturally that those that care have enemies with those that don't care. Am I right in that assumption?" Leigh said coldly, his eyes revealing no emotion. He stood and eyed the student. "Now, a person worthy of your presence? HA! You aren't worthy of anyones presence. Not mine, for that matter. Now learn your place willingly, or I'll make sure that the remainder of your time here a living hell, am I understood by such a gracious person as yourself?"

Her observation had not meant to be taken threateningly, though Malfoy's eyes slightly flashed with anger at Carrie's comment and she prepared herself for another duel of words. Professor Addis however quickly interrupted, with his usual way of handling things.
Malfoy was quick to retort, and before Carrie could even roll her eyes at the offhand comment of others being unworthy, the Hufflepuff head of house returned some cold words. Carrie's eyebrows were raised. Whoa. She simply thought to herself. Those were some strong words.
She was stood in a central position between the two arguing. She turned from student to teacher.. teacher to student, noticing the harsh, very real glare they gave each other. It was different to how it had been between her and the slytherin.. this was actual hate.

"Look out!" Jerred shouted, hoping that anyone with enough brains would leap out of the way.
A bear suddenly came running down the hallway. Jerred ran after it, afraid if it'll hurt anyone. He suddenly saw a group of people ahead of him as the beer tore through them. He saw the beer collide with another Slytherin, and being concerned Jerred ran forward. When he got to where the the Slytherin had fell over, Jerred realised it was Malfoy.
"Oh... it's you." Jerred said, not caring anymore. Jerred looked at the other people and he felt his cheeks flush. "Hehe... Hi, Professor Addis... and unknown to me Gryffindor girl..." He continued nervously.

((Rofl- Hey. That was not cool))
Draco glared at his professor, slightly surprised that he'd make such a threat to a student and made sure to owl his father about it later, when a loud, unattractive growl reached his ears. His eyes widened when he realized the source of noise was Bonehead as he tried to get the hallways cleared.
However, before Draco could move the slightest, another ferocious growl, this one louder and less human, echoed down the hallway. Turning around wildly, Draco let out a small yelp as a furry creature collided with him, knocking him to the floor.
There was a pause of silence as he and the bear stared at each other, before he yelled, scrambling away and pulling out his wand with panicky movements.
"What. The. Hell."
He looked back to the cluster of students and noticed Boneman flushing with a somewhat sheepish grin on his face. Only Bonehead would manage something like that, He thought to himself with clenched teeth, straightening his robes.
