Kim walked around the desterted corridors, finding light only in the secluded areas, behind the portrait of an old woman was a secret corridor. Quiet, even in the loudest part of the day. A pin drop here would wake even the oldest members of the dead.
These area's were always dark, smelt musty and even felt like the death that became of some people. Kim liked it. For once, she found comfert in something stranger than her kid brother.
She stopped, she heard something... Or someone... She pun around, wand drew... Waiting for whatever it was to come into the lighter area...

"Calm down Kim. It's just me." Halo whispered as she stepped into the torch light. "So what's up with you? I'm on Prefect rounds." she rolled her eyes slightly, but knowing that since she was on duty, Kim wouldn't be, she wanted to knwo what was up with her friend. Especially accounting for how long it had been since they spoke last.

"Nothings up with me. Im just out on a walk. Been doing that lately" She said as she saw Halo. "Prefect rounds huh? Catch anybody yet? Aside from me?" She asked. She turned around and began walking back down the corridor. "You coming?"

"Of course I'm coming. Is that even a question?" she chuckled quietly as she followed her friend. "In answer to your previous question, I caught a couple of first year hufflepuffs earlier, but I just sent them back to their dorms. Apparently they'd been wandering around since dinner after getting lost when the stairs changed." she chuckled again. "So what've you been up to?"

Kim shrugged as she walked "Keeping out of everyones way and keeping to myself again mainly. Becoming slightly arrogant towards those i dont know..." Kim told her "Probably why you havnt seen me, Ive been avoiding eveyone using the portrait corridors... Vanished from the earth" She laughed

Halo shrugged, "I may start joining you in that attempt." she watched the stone floor pass beneath her feet as they walked, then shook her head to snap out of her own thoughts, "So why are you suddenly a recluse? Something happen with... wolf-boy?"

"Fenrir? Nothing i want to talk about right now... Though i think i may have to tortue Apronia when i leave school" The thought of the trick, even though Kim knew it was for the best.. Annoyed her. "I dont know why im a recluse... I just am"

She smiled, 'Same old Kim, just new tactics.' she thought, glad to know at least someone would always be, somewhat, predictable. She sighed, not even noticing it really. She'd gotten used to the sound after the umpteenth time she'd made it that day. "So... read any good books lately?" she asked, trying to think of anything to talk about.

"My dads journal.. Just finished it... Has everything about Fenrir and why he was after me... About how he bit the wrong twin" She told her taking it out of her robes and giving it her "Has baby pictures of me, claire and jayke.. Also says why my dad never liked me... You can have it... I dont need it anymore and you might learn why i am the way i am" She indicated the whole fact of why she didnt trust anyone apart from those who she considered friends.

She smiled and took the book, not with much interest to read it, she knew enough about Kim and was happy just to know she was trusted anough to know about her past, "Thanks." she said, feeling very important. She gently placed the journal in her robe pocket.

Kim carried on walking, giving that book to Helia, Kim felt the weight if a... Book... Off her shoulders. "So... What now?" She asked. Kim had never done a prefect round before but since Helia was out and about.. Why not!
