She wasn't able to sleep that night. Normally she was practically dead by 10:00 pm and awake by 7:00. Now she couldn't close her eyes for more than two seconds. Terrible and odd things were happening to her here and they had been so since she had gotten her powers drained. It was 3:00 now and she walked silently down the long lonely corridor by herself. She was heading for the outside for some freshair, but she had a long way to go.

Draco, who had sneaked out of his room to scare any first years he could find, found himself sprawled on the floor after colliding with a fellow Slytherin. Groaning, he stood up rubbing his backside and sneered at the girl.
"Watch where you're going," he whispered angrily, looking around hoping no one had heard the commotion.

"It's dark. Like I could see you coming." she defended. Her hands began to glow giving them light. She looked at the boy knowing immediately he didn't seem like a very nice person. She knew how to deal with these kind of people. He came off to her like a snob.

Draco's eyes widened as he stared at the girl's hands, ignoring her last comment. "How-How did you do that!" He said, his tone of voice heightening. Then, looking at his own hands he scowled.
"You shouldn't be able to do that!"

She looked down at her hands. "Do what?" To her it was completely normal and she had been doing it her whole life. "Oh...that. I don't know." she said truthfully.

Carrie often went on secret walks in the night - she loved the quiet, the peace and most of all - the danger. Walking down a corridor on the fifth floor, she could heard hushed mutterings from round the corner. She furrowed her eyebrows - noone was ever out and about at this time other than her and perhaps a ghost or two.
Paying particular attention to keeping her footsteps quiet, she peered towards the origin. There stood two slytherins looking like they were arguing Strange place to have an argument. She thought to herself. Must be a lovers tiff. She pondered, with a laugh slightly too loud. She whipped her hand back around corner, hoping she hadn't been seen nor her laugh heard.

Draco's eyes nearly fell out of their sockets, he opened them so wide. "You don't know!" He whispered fiercely, his head examining the hallway once more for any unwanted visitors.
Then, sneering, he held out his wand. "Teach me how!"

Alondra was going to check to see if anyone was there but decided if Draco hadn't seen anything then there wasn't. "I can't teach you." she said. "It's just natural, so are most of my powers." She looked at him like he was crazy.

Draco started to feel as though someone were watching them. Gathering up his courage, he held out his wand not needing to cast lumos as the girl's spell, or whatever it was, had enough light to see along the hallway.
"Did you hear that," He said, looking at Alondra, referring to the slight giggles that were trying to be stifled.

"Yeah..." she said slowly moving past him. She walked down the hall a bit until she came upon a girl hiding around the corner. "Something funny?" she asked her nonchalantly. She looked behind her to see if Draco had followed.

Stunned that the girl had just calmly walked up to the intruder, for it may have been a Professor just itching to take some of Slytherin's points, Draco just stood in the hallway his mouth open. Then, composing himself, he ran up to the two girls, relieved.
"Don't be such a moron!" He yelled at the Slytherin. "If that hadn't been a harmless Gryffindor, you could have gotten both of us in loads of trouble!"

"Common sense would tell you that if it were a Professor they would have found us, not been laughing at your stupidity." she said. She also knew it wasn't a Professor by instinct. "Am I not correct?"

Draco's voice faltered, knowing she was right, before he sneered once more. "It may have been Peeves," he said, his eyes narrowed. "What would you have done then? Hm? Point your glowing hands at him and scare him away?"

'Geez. Do you two always argue?' Carrie interrupted, not bothered in the slightest that she had been 1. found and 2. found by slytherins.

"The laugh was a female voice." she said. "Besides Peeves is on a temorary probation for almost killing a HufflePuff student. He isn't aloud anywhere but the ghost's quarters." she look at him as if it were obvious. "And if it were him, I wouldn't need powers I can just show your face and it'd scare him away." She found this a childish remark but it worked for her.
