NOTE: You are not permitted to see into the Room of Requirement when it is in use as it is in this case. That is unless you are trained like Professor Ethelion in the Eastern magical arts where a mental spell can be used to see through walls. however since it requires such high levels of concentration and many years of training, it is doubtful that you shall see what happens in this Room unless permitted in by Professor Ethelion. You are allowed in if you are a member of the DA or a certain professor...
Please refrain from reading further...
Professor Ethelion entered the room. Inside was a clear space with bamboo paneling on the walls. In the side of the room was a rack of weapons, a collection of swords, daggers, knives, spears and the like. He walked over and picked up a sword.
He then began his daily exercises in the martial arts that he picked up, martial arts similar in form to the muggle kind, but enhanced greatly with magic. The sword became the focal point of his magic, much like a wand does for others.
'The Eastern traditions... the Western magic community has much to learn from them, and vice versa' he found himself thinking
The blade vibrated and hummed as it sliced through the air in an intricate dance that could deal death. Ethelion began to break out a sweat as he concentrated on moving his body in the practiced fluid movements.

Keaira slid into the room quietly, watching Professor Ethelion as he went through his paces. She stood against the wall, not wanting to interrupt.

"Yes?" asked the Prof. stopping in mid air and landing with his back turned to the student.

"Oh!" Keaira smiled sheepishly. "I was here for the extra tutoring, Professor. I hope I wasn't interrupting."

"Ah, no not at all. What do you remember from last time, Keaira?"

"I remember...walking in on you several times during meditation. And I'm reading a book about core magic; every witch and wizard has a type of magic unique to her or himself which is often reflected in her or his hobbies. Oh, but..." she trailed off and grinned sheepishly. "I don't know if that has to do with the sort of wandless magic you practice."

"Well it's a different type or rather a different approach to wandless magic. Focusing on one's core, makes one exceptionally gifted at that branch of magic. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, it allows a earth witch to be able to command plants for example. With me, I wasn't brought up in that approach, though I can teach you if you wish to specialize in it."

"I suppose I'd like you to teach whatever style you're best at. I practice core magic a little on my own; I have a base in Earth magic, which is why I spend so much time outside with my books, but if you're more focused on a different branch of wandless magic, then I think it would be to my benefit to learn that way. Or, well...if you wouldn't mind tutoring me for a longer time, we could work in your specialty and then practice some core magic aside from that. We wouldn't have to work as much, I don't think, because I already know a little about it."

"Excellent. Well, the way i was taught wandless magic, it didn't rely upon core magic. It relies more upon the perfection of the concentration of spells. You see, magic does not reside in wands, it resides in the witch or wizard. Therefore, if by sheerly using concentration of the mind, one can focus one's magic energy, then the use of some object to channel and focus that magic is no longer needed."

"So even superfluous magic resides in the wizard himself...that's why muggles can't do any magic at all. Is there a special method of concentration or focus, though, to use wandless magic properly? I mean to say, why can't more wizards do it?"

"Because the necessary mental concentration is not something everyone can accomplish. It requires absolute dedication to the thought of the action, mental visualization of that action helps. Say i wanted to cast aguamenti. I have to focus on what the water would look like, focus on channeling the magic, select a specific point in the air or surroundings as the source of the water, and if i wish to have the water stream have a direction, i need to think about that also.
that's why with so many factors, most wizards will simply use a wand. It cuts down on the decisions but also the possibilities."
Saying that, he focused and a jet of water, 20 feet behind him suddenly appeared and disappeared.

"Oh!" Keaira said, startled as the water disappeared. "All right, so then...is there something I should do before I try a bit of wandless magic, or is there a simple spell I should try first?"

"Well, first drop your wand. And then try to summon it back with Accio. Say the spells out loud when necessary."

Keaira nodded and laid her wand about half a meter before her on the ground. Frowning deeply, she furrowed her brow and held out her hand.
"Accio wand!" she said loudly.
The wand turned over on the floor but did not fly into her hand. She shook her head and put her hand out again.
"Accio wand!"
This time, the wand shivered and skidded to her feet, but did not actually lift off of the floor. Keaira looked at Professor Ethelion and smiled meekly.
"So...what can I do better?"
