[L] Worry and Confusion

Kim rushed into the library. It was early morning and only a few people were up. But she was glad to find the library void of people. She threw her dads diary onto a table with her notebook and rushed over to the shelves. Drastic times calls for drastic measures she thought lazily as she picked out a few books.

She returned to her table holding three books on werewolves. "Hmm.. so what was your fascination with them..." she flipped open her dads diary "Fenrir Greyback... Total turnip" she read thre some passages, jotted down a few notes. Then as she opened the second book randomly she saw it... a picture of fenrir. And what an ugly sight he was.

"Lets see then..." she ran her finger down the passageway untill she thought she saw something of interest "Wheres Jayke when you need him... What the.." she pulled the book closer to her and pushed her dads diary away. "Fenrir doesnt even need the full moon to turn... how weird. Craves blood everyday. Im sure i speak for everyone when i say ew. Eats... babies? Now thats just sick." she carried on reading and talking to herself "Well i guess hes one guy way overdue for the loony bin." she pulled her dads diary back to her "Well if he munches on kids why'd he munch on my dad? my sister i can understand... but jeez.. my dads oldschool." she read through another passage. "O...kay.. well i guess now i understand why he left." she carried on reading "So he basically left because he and claire were werewolves. Thats nice to know. And lets just leave an unstable woman, a six year old kid and kim to fend off Fenrir when he decides to pay a visit. Cheers pops. why dont you just sentance us to death row or werewolf row or whatever it is you call it.. Psycho" she pulled the other books to her and carried on studying about werewolves. she wanted to know as much as she could about them. Feeding patters, possible weaknesses. Who cares? as long as she knew

Jerred saw Kim run into the library with a drastic look on her face. He ran over to her, concern riddled upon his face. He got to her and made himself known.

"Hey, Kim. Whats wrong? Anything I can do to help?" He asked quickly.

"Hey Jerred" she reshuffled her books so the one with Greyback in it was closest "Same old really. Dads a werewolf, sisters a werewolf. Dad left took claire. Kim just finds out why." She handed him her dads diary "It basically says that Greyback is the one who bit my dad and Claire. So my dad took off, taking Claire with him and sentancing me, my kid bro and a very unstable mother to werewolf-death row. Apparently Fenrir had the taste for Claire. Now he wants the other side of the package to make it whole. Basically he wants the other twin... being me. Nice to know my dad left and didnt bother to tell me a werewolf is after me. Wanting me to join the ranks of werewolfishness. Drinking blood and what-not. Not my dream but hey whos complaining?" she looked back at the book "And if he wants me im going to research on Greyback and werewolves and give him a damn good fight. Theres no way im being one of those things without a damn good fight" she smiled "I really doubt theres anything you can do. Its just fantastic though, one rut leads to another rut. Big rutness" she looked at the picture "He could be better looking if he wanted to munch on me though" she laughed

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred stared at her, his eyes wide with fear. His eye twitched slowly. "So... so that's why... you're all messed up?" Jerred said, his head swimming. "I think I can help... my uncle... yeah, is one."

[Kim Rivers]

She looked down "Yeah.. Im messed up big time" she shook her head slowly "Danger-prone-messed-up-Kim. Always ready to bring danger wherever she goes." She took her dads diary back of Jerred "No. Its okay. Ill deal with it.. somehow. I dont want to put you in any more danger than i have done this year. I mean... This guys kinda coming after me and.. well.. i.. I dont know. But what i do know is im not prepared to put any of you in any more trouble." She pulled her notes towards her and began scribbling again "Im not thrilled at the idea of going after this guy.. or waiting until he comes to me. Either way one day hes going to be face to face with me... Thats something i dont want anybody here to see"

"I'm not going to let you face him alone!" Jerred said, sternly. "You'd have to be stupid to face him alone! That guy is dangerous, I've met him Kim, he bit my uncle, then killed my auntie because they refused to follow Voldemort! Yes, my family supports the long dead Dark Lord! Fenrir can burn in hell for not only hurting my family, but yours! I'm helping you, regardless because I care too much to see you get hurt again!"

She looked at him "And im saying no." she turned to look at him "I dont like the thought of being hunted down. But thats whats happenening. If i can stay out of his way... i probably wont but thats besides the point. I know he's dangerous im not that naieve. And im not speaking as in people getting hurt, the more people try and help me with this the more likely death is on the cards. And if you try and come with me he'll see that as a weakness putting us both in more danger!" she looked back at the books "Ill be fine" I hope she thought

"And I'm saying yes. Like it or not, I'm going to help you. I've promised myself I'll always be by your side, always trying to help protect you. I can't do that if you won't let me!" He said, forcefully. "Fenrir came to my house, found us! Even with our warding spell, he got in and slayed my uncle and auntie! How do you think I feel about that? Two pureblooded wizards killed simply for not helping to resurrect Voldemort! I won't let it happen to the girl of my dreams!"

[Kim Rivers]

She sighed "Fine whatever. You wanna get slaughtered come along for the ride then. He wants me on his side, he doesnt care about you. You'll just be another meal. Bait. To get to me. Dont you see that? or are you just being thick?" she rounded on him "Its my fight. I'll fight it. One more person isnt going to make a difference. He's not going to come alone. I have way more chance surviving if im on my own.. yeah the math doesnt add up i know that." She looked past him "To be hunted is not a great feeling. He could be anywhere. He could be in the forest waiting for me. Those..." she thought for a minute. "The werewolves that attacked us.. me.. us.. whatever... might have gone on his order or whatever." she took his hand "I dont want you there. Im sorry i dont. I wont let you be there. Theres no way im lining you up for a big werewolf dinner party. Ill deal.. ill ask the professors or whatever what they know about Fenrir.. and ill study upon werewolves using my fathers own resources if i have to. I can even ask her..." she let go of his hand "But theres no way your being involved in any part of this. Not a chance"

"I'll just be bait will I?" Jerred said, slightly growling. "I want him dead!! Dead!! I'll help you do it, Kim, because I saw him kill my family... I have to help you, this may be my only chance of getting some iota of revenge!"

She was beggining to feel angry now "And that attitude will end up you being dead. You know... i told you this because i thought you'd understand! Clearly i was wrong..." she put the books in her her bag and stood up "Im going this alone. And my decision is final. If you cant understand that then im sorry. And im not out for revenge on my family because feeling like that in a fight is a one way ticket to death. Im doing this to stay alive. I want to get rid of him so i dont have to waste the rest of my life looking over my shoulder! Im going now... Im going to ask around and see what the professors know. If youve learnt anything about me Jerred... It should be that i dont rely on people.. on anyone! In the end they leave you and your on your own. The only person i can really rely on is myself. Ive done fine on my own up till now. I will still be fine"

"Fine, do it yourself. Since you wish to be so alone, I guess I better leave you alone totally... this is goodbye Kim." Jerred said, standing, and turning away from her, hoping to get one last response from her.

She grabbed his arm. "So thats it then is it? Because i want to keep you safe your being a child again!" she let go of his arm "Well if thats what you want then fine. Go... Dont let me stop you"

Jerred looked at her, with fire in his eyes. He smiled slightly before turning to her again and throwing his arms around her and kissing her.

"I'm still going, like it or not even if I have to learn to become an Animagus to do it." Jerred said.
