Carrie had been wandering the aisles of Hogwarts Library for a good half an hour in hope of finding something to interest her, and had successfully found absolutely nothing. She gave a slight sigh, before sliding a hair band from her wrist and quickly tying her hair back. It looked like she was in for a long search, and so she hardly wanted any more annoyance if she could avoid it.
She lowered her gaze once again, and ran her finger across the side cover of the book where she had left off. The Gryffindor gradually moved sidewards along the shelf, scanning titles and removing a book every now and then for a closer look. This is a losing battle. Carrie thought to herself with an ironic smile, as she replaced what seemed to be the hundreth book back onto the shelf before her.

Fernand wandered around the library looking at all sorts of books. He walked around the shelf to the other side. He seen a familiar student and crept up behind her. He tapped her on the shoulder. She jumped and turned to face him.

The tap on the shoulder caught Carrie unawares, as she jumped slightly to turn around to face the person. 'Oh, Fernand.. Hey!' She said with a smile, feeling pleasantly surprised. Carrie hadn't seen the Slytherin since the ball and that seemed an age away. 'What you doing in here then?' She asked as a conversation starter more than anything.

Carrie gave a slight laugh. 'Ok, Ok..' She said rolling her eyes slightly but grinning all the same. 'Perhaps you can help me then.' She commented, raising an eyebrow. 'I can't find one bloody thing I want to read.. any suggestions?' The Gryffindor asked, eyeing his hands to try and see if he had picked up any books for himself.

"You could try..um.. Quidditch books maybe." said Fernand looking directly into her beautiful eyes. "Or maybe uh.. some books on dragons." said Fernand, blushing under Carries gaze.

Carrie gave a characteristic half smile and returned her gaze to Fernand. 'Quidditch books..' She repeated thoughtfully. 'Always a good choice.' She added smiling, pushing a strand or two of hair behind her ear.

"Yeah Quidditch rocks. Hey if your not doing anything say uhh tonight, um.. would you like to go to The three broomsticks or um.. Madam Puddifoots?" asked Fernand quickly, then shifting his gaze out across the library.

The question caught Carrie by surprise, and her head shot up to look at Fernand to check if the Slytherin was being serious. After a moment or two of watching him shift about somewhat nervously, her lips finally formed a smile. 'Yeah sure.. that would be great.'

'Yeah, seven.. thats fine.' Carrie replied, struggling to stop herself from grinning even more. Looks like I've found myself something much more fun than reading a book tonight. The Gryffindor thought to herself, immediately looking forward to later on.

"Ok I will see you then." said Fernand and he left the library with a spring in his step.

Carrie bit her lip slightly as she watched with bright eyes as Fernand left the library. She sighed to herself with a smile, before making her way to the 'Quidditch' section of the Library aisle, based on Fernand's suggestion. A red book immediately caught her eye, and she picked it up to read the back cover. The Gryffindor gave it an approving look, before placing it under her arm. Battle won.
