Demi walked into the Great Hall and over to the Hufflepuff table. She sat down and then looked around the Hall. Hardly anyone was in there, only very few people. She got a small peice of parchment and a quill and then began to write a letter.

Gaia turned to the girl sat beside her. 'Hello, i don't mean to interupt, i was just wondering if i could introduce myself. I'm Gaia.'
Gaia extended her hand wondering if she'd just made a huge mistake.

Demi looked up and smiled. "Oh don't worry about it. I just finished." she said, putting her letter away so she could send it later. "Hi Gaia i'm Demi, nice to meet you." she said, shaking hands with her.

Lisa walked to the Hufflepuff table, looking around for a familiar face. Seeing none, she let out a soft sigh... She was never good with meeting new people.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw two girls in her house introducing themselves. Biting her lip, she sat next to one of them, offering a small smile.
"Hi." She said, her tone friendly, while her hand reached for the pitcher of orange juice. Placing it back on the table after pouring herself a generous amount, she looked at the many items of food on the table, choosing her favorites.
"My name's Lisa." She said, turning back to them with cheerful eyes. "I don't believe we've met."

Lisa placed a scone on her plate. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well!" She paused for a moment, looking at them with a small smile.
"Are you two excited for Quidditch?"

Lisa grinned, wiping her hands on a napkin and sending a straying glance to the other Ravenclaw's and Gryffindor's who were all chattering excitedly about their upcoming game.
"I'm a chaser too!" She said excitedly, smiling at the other fifth year. "I'm very, really nervous about our first game...Who do you think's going to win the Gryffindor VS. Ravenclaw match?"

Ashlee walked to the table in her hufflepuff robes, her head girl badge all polished. She was still tired and was in NO mood for the slytherins today. She sat down at the table and gave a small smile. "Hey Lisa... Hey girls" AJ sighed.

Lisa was gesturing her arms wildly as she talked to some of the other Hufflepuffs in the house about the quidditch match, her cheeks red with excitement. Hearing a voice say her name, she quickly turned to her side, almost knocking Ashlee in the face with her swaying arms. Laughing slightly, sending an apolgetic look the Headgirl's way, Lisa waved.
"Sorry about that!" She said, feeling the tips of her ears turn slightly red, a few small laughs still escaping her mouth.

Ashlee laughed. "Don't worry about it Lisa. It's all good." She rested her arm on the table. "Have you guys been practicing lately? For quidditch I mean?" she asked. She looked at her newly bruised arm, she had an incounter with a bludger during her morning flying.

"I have... Need all the practice I can get!" She said nodding, her adrenaline disappearing quickly as she picked up her scone and took a bite. Then, she looked at Ashlee who was fidgeting around her arm, rubbing a bruise. "Oh, ouch." She said, with a frown. "How did that happen?"

Ashlee laughed. "I was practicing with some bludgers so I could get used to them chasing me and one hit my arm. Almost knocked me off my broom." She smiled. "Well I'm glad you've been practing, we've got to be ready for our first match."

Lisa looked at Ashlee's bruise, biting the inside of her cheek. "Must've hurt!" She said, rubbing her own arm. "Thankfully you didn't fall!" Then she scooted the plate of chocolate chip muffins over to Ashlee, her face slightly amused.
"Maybe these'll help."

Ashlee laughed and grabbed the muffin. "Thanks Lisa." she shook her head still laughing, "It doens't really hurt. It'll be gone in no time." She took a bite of the muffin.
