(H)The streets of hogsmede

[Kim Rivers]

Kim walked down the stone street. It was cold so she pulled her robe further round her trying to keep all the heat in. It didnt work but she felt better for it. She found an empty bench and sat down on it. She felt odly lonely here on her own. She watched the people walk by chattering away and laughing and having an all round good time. She began to think of home, her mother, her father, her sisters. She loved her sisters and her mum more than anything but she didnt have much love for her dad. They never really hit it off. She thought of the time he fell in a pond in france and laughed. Served him right for being such a prat and a show off she thought. She didnt hate him she just didnt love him. She snapped back to the real world not wanting to be left with her thoughts for too long. It would only make her feel more lonely than she was. She carried on watching the people walk by smiled weakly to herself. She didnt mind being on her own, she just sometimes wanted someone to talk to. She was shivering from the cold and she wrapped herself up tighter in her robes.

Leigh walked slowly up the path and saw Kim, sitting by herself. He smiled and and saw her lonely face, diminishing his smile. He walked over to her, trying to get her attention. He failed. He took out his wand, muttered, "Incendio." to light a small fire in front of her. Her sudden gasp of shock, led her to look at him and smile. He sat down next to her without asking, he doubted she'd mind.

"Smile." Leigh said, looking at her. "No one deserves to be alone, no matter you do as a human being."

She smiled at the professor and looked at the fire in front of her. He had shocked her she hadnt expected anyone to sit with her let alone light a fire. "Sometimes being alone works fine. Other times..." she said her voice trailing off as she looked into the fire. She missed her younger sister. She was half the reason she felt alone.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"Alone never works fine." Leigh said. "Everyone needs a companion, person or animal." Leigh took out his wand and held it infront of him. "Felinic Exdametnia." Red sparks spurred forth out of his wand, creating the small red tornado soon settling into a ginger tabby. The sudden cat leapt up into his arms, and curled into a ball. "When I was little, my father went away a lot. So he created me these animal friends, whom I grew up around. I'll teach you the spell now if you like."

[Kim Rivers]

She looked at the small ginger tabby that was sat on the professors knee. "I didnt feel alone when my sister was around. But she not..." She stopped herself. She really didnt want to go any further. "Yeah id like to learn that spell. A little cat would be great to have around" She smiled at him. "Thanks" She finished

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

Leigh reached into his pocket and pulled out a small piece of paper. On it had a list of all the enchantments that could be placed with the Exdamentia spell. Leigh handed the piece of paper to Kim, who took it warmly. "It's a list of all the species of animals that can be summoned with the Exdamentia spell. You can say any of those with Exdamentia, hell, anyone can, but only those who have the imagination and belief to bring forth the animal inside of them can do it." Leigh explained. "By the way, the created animals are alive, they just don't need to be fed, exercised or cleaned up after.

"Thank you" She said looking at the piece of paper. "Caninic Exdametnia" She said. A cute little puppy appeared she fell in love with it. She smiled. "Cute. Thanks again professor" She said stroking the little golden puppy.

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"You're welcome." He said. "Just remember, been alone is never a good thing. Now you shouldn't ever be alone as long as you have your wand." He smiled as he stood, then turned to say one last thing. "Always remember to believe in the animals you create. Never attempt the Phoenix without further training from me."

[Kim Rivers]

She looked up at him, then back at the little golden puppy. "I wont..." She answered. She was happy knowing she had a little friend, one that wouldnt run from her given the chance. She smiled to herself as she watched the puppy

[Prof Octavious Everritt]

"Good." Leigh said, leaving her with her new puppy. He turned back and saw the smile on her face, letting him realise she was happy now.

She stood up and the puppy jumped into her arms. They both walked down the street and back up again. The puppy got down and tried chasing her feet. "Hey.. Stop it" She giggled

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred saw Prof Addis walk past him, soon as he walked he saw Kim there with a small, golden fleeced puppy. He smiled when he saw her smile. He approached her, on his way trying to get his attention. He somehow got it, and she smiled. Her puppy suddenly ran to his feet. He bent down and picked the pup up.

"Energetic little thing, isn't she?" He said to Kim. "Seems to match your personality quite well." His face beamed with a smile, unlike any of his previous smiles.

She stood up and walked over to him, stroking the little puppy that Jerred had in his arms. "Yeah she is really energetic." She said smiling. "Two energectic people.. or person and dog anyway.. how will the people cope?" She said sarcastically. "She seems to like you an awful lot" Kim watched the puppy lick Jerred.
