You walked upto the notice board in the common room, and noticed a new, rather large poster pinned up:

Captain: Ashlee Jade Van Dort
Chaser: Lisa Turpin
Chaser: Demi Terriaca
Chaser: Henry Boggleworth
Beater: Gaia Elizabeth DeBoer
Beater: Tifani Radcliffe
Seeker: Ashlee Jade Van Dort
Keeper: Grace Marks
Apply for the team on a first come, first serve basis.
You quickly grap a quill to scribble your name down underneath...

Gaia slipped up to the notice and furtively scribbled her name down on the sheet next the the word 'beater'. She had read a little bit about quiddich and this was the only term she truely recognised. However Gaia was desperate to meet people so she needed to be on the team.

Lisa's eyes scanned the notice board, and after a moment of thought, she signed her name under 'Chaser.' /What could it hurt?/ she thought, walking away a bit excitedly.

Tifani ran up to the notice board and searched for the sheet for Quidditch Tryouts and scribbled down her name, next to the open Beater position.

Adrian paced up to the board and stopped before it, staring at it with his arms crossed for a moment or so. Finally he removed a quill from his sleeve and signed his name under the Keeper tryouts section.

Aileen walked up to the notice board and the poster on it, noticing that there was still an open chaser spot. Taking a quill out of her pocket, she smiled and wrote her name clearly near the open chaser spot, hoping that she would make it onto the team.

Boggleworth suddenly remembered he'd been meaning to join the Hufflepuff quidditch team for a while now. Eventually he found the noticeboard and breathed a sigh of relief as he realised his spot was free.
He quickly scrawled his name down for chaser!

Grace walked along the wall of the common room hoping to avoid everyone. She led herself along the wall with her hand outstreched to guide herself. There was a suddenly sharp pain in her forefinger, "Ouch! Papercut!" She sucked on her finger to lessen the pain when she saw a notice on the wall infront of her with her name on. "Keeper! Cool!" she said.
