Carrie gave a big stretch as she wandered down the dormitory stairs towards the common room. It was early. Very early in fact. But she always had the unfortunate knack of waking up and not being able to get back to sleep. She had decided, after a vain attempt at returning to sleep, that she would spend a bit of time downstairs before the rest of the house awoke. It was a rarity to find a peaceful common room, so she wanted to enjoy it whilst she could.
She just reached the bottom of the stairs, when she realised that in fact the common room was not empty. What are people doing up at this time? she thought incredulously to herself. Thats when she realised she was still in the vest top and trousers she wore in bed - she hadn't even bothered putting on her dressing gown. Frowning, she tried to creep around as quietly as she could, hoping that she would be able to avoid the embarrassment of two strangers seeing her in her pyjamas.
CREAK.
Five years here.
Five. Bloody. Years.
You would think I would be able to remember that that floor board ALWAYS creaks. She thought to herself angrily, as she turned round to see that the other Gryffindors were watching her curiously.
'Hey there.' She said with a weak laugh feeling her cheeks warm slightly.

Kandler snarled slightly as he heard the creak and looked at the girl. Why would she be sitting there creeping around? he thougth to himself. He cleared his throat and looked away.

All Carrie got as an immediate reaction was something that resembled a snarl. She raised an eyebrow. Now thats a bit unfair. She thought to herself. Though it does look like im intruding. The student pondered as a second thought. 'Sorry, if I'm interrupting - wasn't expecting anyone else up at this time.' She said with her weak smile being maintained.
