Ridd is OLD

On the 20th of February, Riddikulus Hogwarts will be 2 years old!

Shock shock horror horror at its oldness! I'm very impressed that it lasted so long =P So seriously, thank you everyone!

I'm thinking we need to do something special to mark this birthday.. I have a while yet to cook something up, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'm happy to hear them.

This also means that Term 5 will be starting on the 20th Feb. (TERM 5?! crazy.)

So is there anything you want to see in Term 5?

I was going to do another Ridd Awards at the start of it.
A new student plot thought up by Liz can be started.
Got some other plans too possibly.. but suggestions..?

Can teachers make sure they have posted all house points before the 20th Feb. House points posted after the 19th will go towards Term 5 stats.

Erm, ok, I think I'm done babbling for now.

But seeing as theres quite a few weeks until the 20th yet, I'm sure I'll find more to say =P

hmm, well, Ash, Bray, Fay, and Kit have a new band called Calypso, and they need an audience, so how bout every other week or so, we set aside a few days for them to do like a little concert in the Great Hall and everyone is invited? (if Nicole, Ally, and Rikki like the idea that is)

20th of Feb!!!! Wow that is like 25 days away!!! That is slightly crazy….does this mean I need to think of something for Girty *sigh*But I agree there needs to be something big to celebrate its birthday I will have a think about it too dear chap!

And yes I am willing to help with the whole Ridd award thing too!!! So I guess we could also throw in here if anyone has any suggestions for awards to give out then fling them my way hahaha!

And my house points will be up….but I guess then Stage 2 points will be thrown over to term 5 as there is no way we will get it done by then hahahaha!

Ok I had an idea and thought I would run it past you guys first!
A board that goes with the Archives but can be called ‘Ridd of Old’ (or something along those lines) And it is here people can post diaries, fan fic type things or even threads about the time before your characters were on the site.
So for example Professor’s could have threads when they were at school, people can have mini stories about when they were at Dumstrang before they moved to Hogwarts or even simply if your character has always been around then maybe a thread when they were in the 1st year.

I think the board will have to be controlled so it is not over used and naturally planning would have to take place. But I think it might be a bit of fun really just to help develop peoples characters even more!

So what do you guys think???

(Do the members of Ridd who have been here the longest get anything special? ie me I believe outside of me and Gail, there isn't anyone left from 2 years ago, PLUS those on the old Ridd ie ME!! Lol.

Two years! wow. I've been here for oh, a few months give and take. Amazing! We should definitely have a big party!

New plots are always fun and Liz is always a genius (and I love her ideas!), but I want in on this one, I'm alway just there, confused! haha

I've now created "The Pensieve" in the Character Board for this It'll be ace to read all characters history/past RP/short stories etc. Awesome idea Liz!!

I've also re-created "Dear Diary"... which Ridd use to have. This is for posting diary entries for your characters! They were fun to write and read last time, so hopefully people will be interested again =) Last time people created one thread for their character.. and posted on the same thread each time they added an entry.
