[Lake] Why can't you go die in a fire?

Ash lay in his usual spot by the lake, eyes closed against the glare of the sun. The cool autumn breeze tickled his skin, causing small goosebumps to rise along the flesh. He had nothing to do today and planned on taking full advantage of that. Meaning he intended to be a lazy bum and lay around all day.

Unfortunately, it would seem that Lady Fate was not on his side today and to his horror, he heard a familiar voice. Was that...? Oh Merlin, no it couldn't be! Could it? The voice sounded eerily familiar to that of Jaden D'angelo. Also known as Ash's cousin. Also know as, in Ash's opinion anyway, the Demon Spawn from Hell.

"Oh dear God, please tell me that's not him." the young man mumbled under his breath. He just might have to drown himself if it was. Ash groaned quietly as the voice came closer. There was no denying it, it was his ever-annoying cousin. "What are you doing here Jay? Why the hell can't you just like, disappear off the face of the earth or something?" he asked as he glared daggers at his cousin. Yes, he loved Jay but did the man honestly have to be so annoying?

Jaden, undaunted at his younger cousin's anger, just smiled brightly. "Oh, my little cousin, what a cold welcoming! I come alllll the way from France to wherever this little magical place is to see you and you ask me to drop off the face of the earth." He slumped forward a bit and sighed dramatically. "Weeeeeell," Jaden stood back up to his full height. "Good thing the earth is round so I can't fall off the face of it, ahaha! How lucky for me!"

Plopping down next to Ash, he gave the younger man a bright smile. "How long has it been since I last saw you? It's been foreeeeeever! I see you're still emo as ever, emo kid! Why don't you learn to smile every now and then?" He waved up at the sky. "Even the sun and the skies are happy and you're sitting over here like a grumpy bump on a log. Lighten up!"

Ash just sighed and shook his head, he knew there was no point in telling Jay to shut up, because he wouldn't. He glared at the emo remark though. "I do smile for your information." he growled, "I just don't smile at you because you're so damn annoying."

Ash rolled his eyes when Jaden expressed his delight in not being able to fall off the face of the earth. "Oh goodie." he quipped sarcastically. "Glad to hear I'm stuck with you."

Ash sighed again, "Ugh... where is Tyler when I need him?" he mumbled quietly, but then realised that Jay actually had pretty good hearing and had most likely heard him and would no doubt start being nosy and asking who Tyler was. Well, there went Ash's peaceful afternoon.

As if coming deep out of thought, Jaden suddenly shook his head. "Whoa, sorry, zoned out there for a while." He gave Ashton a giant smile. "Ah, you say the meanest things to me! If I could only but see you smile once, I'd die a happy man!" He dramatically threw himself onto the grass and flung an arm over his eyes. "But alas, that day may never come also," Jaden lifted his arm a bit to give his cousin a curious look. "Tyler? Who's he? Friend of yours? Someone whose legs I need to break?"

Ash rolled his eyes at his cousins antics. "Oh Merlin forbid you die anything less than the happiest man on earth!" he retorted sarcastically.

He sighed when Jaden immediately asked who Tyler was. "Tyler's my boyfriend." he mumbled knowing that it was useless to try and keep this information from his cousin.

He glared at the "Someone whose legs I need to break?" comment. "No!" he said with a scowl. "Touch him and it won't just be your legs I break." he growled.
