Many questions were running through his mind, many thoughts were clouding is judgement. Nothing made sense in his world anymore. What was going on? Everything and everyone was changing around him and yet he felt exactly the same, like nothing was different and he felt strange, kind of powerless to this sensation and the person he would usually share this kind of thing with had shunned him and wouldnt even look at him when he walked past them in the corridors.
It felt unusually lonely.
Unlike the first time he came within these trees, this time he felt no fear as he crossed over tree roots and goodness knows what else. He didnt know where his feet were taking him and in all fairness and honesty he didnt much care. He didnt want to be around those he classed as his 'friends' he didnt want to be around anyone who could affect him. Everytime he got close to someone, something pushed him back like an unknown force and Mark no longer knew what to do, and for the first time, he couldnt joke about it. He sat on the muddy floor, back against a tree, looking up through the treetops. He felt empty, like nothing mattered anymore. He felt like he had lost something dear to him, something that needed to be found, but he just didnt know where to look.

Girty was wondering back from the Three Broomsticks after meting up with a few friends when she saw someone move across the grounds. Stopping Girty put her hands in her pockets and stood and watched as the person entered a forest, she was interested and wanted to know who it was. Whether it had been the small volumes of alcohol she had drunk or even the amount of chocolate she had eaten up a wide grin filled her face and she skipped off down the grass banking and towards the forest. When she reached the edge of the forest she had lost all site of the figure she had followed and was half tempted to walk back to the warmth and comfort of the Hufflepuff common room when something took over. She looked to the floor and on mud and leaf covered ground she could see the tracks of the person.
Girty was unsure how she had gained these tracking abilities, it might have had something to do with her werewolf qualities but whatever it was she wondered after the footsteps. As she looked up from the tracks she finally saw who had made them. It was Mark, and yet again they were in the forest and yet again he was sitting on the muddy floor.
“So what brings you to this part of the forest and yet again to be sitting on the muddy floor? Seems to be the only time we ever bump into each other!”
Girty was not stupid, she could tell that this time it was Mark’s turn to be miserable and she knew it was her job to make him feel better. So slipping onto the floor Girty joined Mark and sat in the dirt.

It seemed as though the forest was a place he came to if something had happened these days. Of course, he had only ever been here once before and that experiance hadnt exactly been one of his greatest memories he held. He sat with his back leant against the tree trying to recall the events that had happened that day, though it was like trying to hold water in your hands, everytime he thought he had something it slipped away too quickly for him to grasp onto. The pictures in his mind were not as clear as they once were. He gave a slight sigh as he gave up trying to remember.
The stars werent hidden tonight by mass amounts of clouds, he looked up, watching them through the treetops. Smiling as he thought of something his mother once told him. He couldnt help but think she only said that to comfort him. He had spent so long after that trying to keep Belle and Alexis happy he never spent time looking for what he wanted, and now when he could, he had no idea of what it was he wanted. He heard someone crossing the forest to where he was and looked in the direction. Smiling when he saw who it was.
"I dont know" He smiled as she sat down near him. "Not to be blowing things up again that is a definate" He looked back up at the stars, it was the only time they ever bumped into eachother, he knew she was right, "Maybe thats because we both love dark and dangerous places, its the only place the two of us can share" he laughed. "What brings you here?"

Laughter, in Girty’s experience, was the cure for everything and she was willing to use this as a perfect example. Being alone never helped a person feel any better so naturally the company that comes with the laughter is also very important but Girty was already seeing a slight improvement in the Gryffindor behaviour; he was smiling for a start. Even when Mark mentioned about their last meting under the canopy of the dark trees Girty still managed to smile. It was in her past, tears, the frustration and depression. She had a lot more to live for now, and she understood that the death of Thom was not the end of her world, in fact it was the beginning.
“What brings me here? Well that is a very good question because I have no answer to that apart from I saw you and thought I would follow. Curiosity mainly, as I did not know it was you at that point in time. But I am not regretting it…yet.”
Girty looked around the forest suddenly feeling very venerable, anything could be around them, watching them and the idea of them just sitting on the floor made it a lot worse. Although she was not alone and she had her wand at hand like she always did when entering the forest. It would be a lie to say Girty did not like the forest, it was interesting and full of mystery but on nights like this when she was not feeling particularly brave it was not the best place to be.

Even when these two first met, Mark had never understood her. One minute she seemed all on edge, though quite trusting, and the next her attitude had done a 180 on him and he was left back at square one. He usually didnt have much trouble when it came to understanding girls, but Girty, she was a challenge. Saying that, he had actually given up trying to understand her. She was a strange one, there were no two ways about that, but he figured, if he was to have anyones company in here, it would be hers.
Mark hadnt really thought much about the last time he was in here, in fact once he was out he had pushed it far from his mind and never dwelled on it. He had never told Maxi about it, and now he doubted he ever would. He hadnt told Belle or Alexis either, he knew what their reaction would be like if he told them he had set a werewolf free. Though the good thing that came out of that night was the fact he was more tolerant to the creatures and didnt bent his life now on wanted them all dead. The way he figured, if they didnt attack him, he wouldnt attack them. Fair deal right?
"Well its almost nice to think someone followed me without my knowing" he looked down at the dirt, "Careful wasnt made my middle name for no reason" he looked back up at her and shrugged, "Well we still have time to make you regret it dont we?"
The forest was a dangerous place to be, he knew that. He knew that anything could be around them and with Mark's wand stuck in his pocket it wasnt like he could pull it out very fast. Shuffling around a bit he managed to grasp it and pull it from his pocket. The place was dark but for some reason, wasnt dark enough to make Mark want to use the lumos spell. What was different this time around? Apart from Mark not being lost and not being on edge?

As Girty normally did with Mark she laughed at him and with him. She was still undecided what to think about him, he seemed to have got over his medieval belief that all werewolves were scum and need to be killed, which for Girty was a big improvement…and help. The two sat in the dark for a moment and Girty took in the silence of the forest, it was different from any other part of the grounds as you knew you could not relax you always had to be on your guard ready for the next surprise that could be lurking behind any tree. Mark too seemed to be thinking the same thing as he pulled out his wand from his inside robe pocket. At first Girty thought that he might have seen something but when she did not hear anything else apart from the wind rustling through the trees she allowed herself to breath.
“Is there a reason you are sitting in the dark Mark? I know the forest does not have any candles to light the place up, although it might be an improvement, but wand light is always good.”
Girty reached into her left sock and pulled out her wand in a fluid movement and she was about to give it a small flick and allow it to light up when it hit her. Maybe he was trying to hide from someone or something, maybe he had come to the forest so he could be alone. A weary smile filled her features and she slid her wand back into her sock.
“However for you to be sitting in the dark there must be a reason you are here in the first place and not in your common room or dormitory. You are hiding from someone aren’t you…oh have you got a few girls on the go and they have found out about you, maybe an angry professor as you have skipped a detention. There are so many possibilities although I doubt they are as exiting as some of these ideas I have in my head.”
The wildest idea Girty had was that Mark had actually killed someone and having left the body in the forest he came in to burry the body and hide the evidence. However Mark did not seem to be the student killing manic her imagination was building him up to be.

(Im going with the flow ive forgotten where this thread was going)
Mark laughed when she did, but he couldnt decide whether she was laughing at him or with him. He couldnt help laughing though, it was like medicine. He knew thier first meeting had held some surprises for the both of them, and he knew he would never figure her out, in fact he gave up hoping he ever would. The laughter died down and Mark found himself once more staring at the muddy floor, only looking up when she spoke. "Not really i dont think" he said with a smile, "Well a few candles might cheer the place up a bit" He looked around, "Few cusions, throw rug, call it home"
He could help but laugh when she took out her wand from her sock, though he saw that she put it away and he gave her a grateful smile. He didnt really know what he was doing here and he didnt know what he would acomplish by being here either. "A bit of both actually" he laughed, "No, not really. Im hiding from someone, yes. Someone that seems to be head over heels for me and i dont feel the same for her, but i feel too guilty to tell her that" he looked at her and shrugged, "I didnt mean for her to fall for me, as far as im aware i didnt do anything for her to feel such things. I treated her as a friend and nothing more. I dont wanna hurt her"
(sorry sucky but I cant remember this thread very well haha)
