Jerred had walked out of the school grounds and headed towards Hogsmeade, where out of boredom he was walking along the top of a rickity fence. With little to no effort he had gotten himself up onto the fence and began walking back and forth, trying not to fall over or spill himself onto the fence. The very thought of him falling crotch first wasn't even enough to end his fun.
He quickly grew bored of testing his balance that he quickly jumped off and landing lightly on his feet. As he landed he heard the fence crumple behind him and with a wicked grin he felt a surge of adrenaline, before running off to the next thing he could find to rid himself of boredom.
Jerred ran around the corner, running into someone hard, knocking himself over and winding himself on the stony path. With a groan, Jerred rolled forward, gasping for breath as he did so.
'Sorry... my fault.' Jerred said, looking at who he had run into.

Freya had been in Hogsmede most of the day, though had only properly visited Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop in which she had been admiring its new range of musical quills for a good half an hour. The songs had been all sorts, from wizarding rock bands, to folk songs to even a few muggle tunes.
Before she knew it, Freya had found herself wandering out with a quill in one hand and few less galleons in the other. This had always been a problem with the Ravenclaw - she always felt the need to try new things, even if it was completely pointless. The quill for example, she had only been out of the shop thirty seconds and had to shake it vigrously to try and shut it up.
Walking briskly down the streets of Hogsmeade, Freya shoved the quill deep into her pocket after failing to keep it quiet with a silencing charm, and rolled her eyes to hear its annoying tune still blaring out. She had just come up to the street corner when another student came running out of nowhere and went smack straight into her, sounding a large CRACK. 'Bloody hell!' She yelled, nearly toppling over backwards at the sheer force of it. Reaching for her pocket, she pulled out her quill and grinned to see it snapped completely in half. 'Now why didn't I think of that.'

'Wha...' Jerred said, confused with what he saw. 'You alright or is your head pounding like mine?' Jerred looked at the Ravenclaw and raised his eyebrow inquisitively. He looked away and wondered who she was.

In the delight of the music stopping, Freya had almost forgotten about the collision and seemed surprised by the Slytherin's words. 'Oh, er no, I'm fine-' She added quickly, suddenly realising that he had had the worse of the impact. 'Here-' She held out a hand to help pull him off the ground and gave a smile. 'Now... what's so important that it's got you racing around like a nutter?' The Ravenclaw asked the guy with an intrigued smirk. 'Or perhaps the question should be-' She leaned forward with a mischievous glint in her eye. '-what have you been up to that you have to run away from?'

Shaking his head, Jerred looked at the girl weirdly and gave her a dumbfounded look. 'I have done nothing that no self-respecting easily bored 14 year old wouldn't of done.' Jerred said, seeing double of everything. He felt like he wanted to puke. 'Don't ask how many fingers you're holding... if you value your clothing being... clean?' He said, questioning his own statement as he saw the dirt on his robes, and assuming that there would also be dirt on the Ravenclaws.
'Well, I'm fine after making an old fence fall, that's for sure...' Jerred continued, slowly regaining his senses.

As tempted as Freya was to ask him how many fingers she was holding up, she did value her clothes being clean. 'Look, are you alright?' She asked the Slytherin, finding it very hard not to snigger at the combined dazed and dumbfounded expression he was now showing. 'Let's get you sitting down.' She guided him to the nearest bench and waited until he seemed to come back to his senses a bit more, before speaking again. 'So, knocking down an old fence eh? Pfft... I am disappointed.' She joked, a smirk crossing her lips.

Feeling slightly better, Jerred looked at the Ravenclaw weirdly. 'Disappointed? I've done better!' Jerred exclaimed, remembering the time when he was 5 and knocked down a support beam in an old mine near his family home. 'But, be as it may, it's not really that important.'

Freya gave an indifferent shrug and leant back on the bench. 'You seem to be looking better anyway.' She commented, noticing the disappearance of the dazed look and the appearance of an expression which seemed to indicate the Slytherin was finding her somewhat odd. 'Well, er, I guess I'll carry on then.' The Ravenclaw had gained the feeling that her presence wasn't all that welcome and wondered if he was the kind of person who preferred his own houses company above anything else. She got herself up from the bench, pulling the broken quill out of her pocket and with a final smirk at it she chucked it in the nearby bin. 'I guess I'll see you around then.' She added to the Slytherin before continuing her walk around the original corner of their collision.

'Uhh... bye?' Jerred said a little too late. A little perplexed, Jerred stood and looked the way the girl went. 'Ok... and I'm called strange, or at least thought it, then again I do talk to myself.' Jerred continued, whilst laughing quietly. With a one last glance over his shoulder as he turned, Jerred walked away, heading towards the place where he thought he'd get some fun, at least for a little while.
