[Q. Pitch] Ravenclaw Practice

"Thanks!" shouted Andie flashing a smile and a thumbs up back at Loren. "That was a pretty impressive move yourself. What's it called?"

[Loren Hayes]

Loren grinned appreciatively, her cheeks tinting pink slightly. 'Starfish and Stick!' She called back, curving round in her flight pattern to be just above Helia, who she remembered was still watching her closely. Giving Andie a friendly wink, Loren trained her gaze back on the quaffle, trying to anticipate where Russell was going to toss it next...

"Cool." Andie replied. Then in a another unexpected bout of daredevilness, stood up once more on her broom handle, but this time she did a backflip then turned around and did a roundoff. She didn't quite know what had come over her. She was usually never this reckless. Maybe this is what happens when you're in love, she thought to herself, Maybe you do things that you would never normally do.

She nodded approvingly as she watched Lorens display of adept skill, then also as Andie decided to start doing gymnastic tricks on her broom. She muffled a laugh, 'What's gotten into everyone?' she thought, dumbfounded slightly at how tricksy everyone was getting. She shrugged, 'As long as they stay focused during games I'm happy.'

Meanwhile, the golden snitch hovered at the bottom of the goal posts for a moment, then darted off along the right side of the field towards the oposite end of the pitch.

Andie smiled as Helia supressed a smile of her own, then suddenly she saw the snitch streak towards the opposite end of the pitch, she jumped back onto her broom her mind now serious all traces of playfulness replaced by determination. She reached out her hand towards the snitch. Almost there... yes! She caught it! Snitch in hand she flew back towards the team. "Whoo-hoo!" she shouted before releasing the snitch once more.

"Nice one Andie," she called out. So far, for what a little team they had, they were doing pretty good. The chasers were in sync, the seeker was wicked fast, she felt that she was a fairly good keeper, and hopefully once her beaters showed up they'd prove to be equally skilled as the rest of the team.

"Thanks Helia!" yelled Andie over her shoulder as she set off in search of the snitch once more.

[Russell Parkhurst]

Russell oogeled at Loren's perfectly executed 'Starfish and Stick'. Then he realised the quaffle was once again in the air. He dashed for it and caught it, tucking it under his arm. He flew towards Loren and parked next to her. He watched Andie and Helia watching Andie. "She not watching," he whispered, "here we go!"

He flew away from her and, looking, he winked. He had a plan. As soon as she was ahead of him, he would pass it too her and get ahead of her. And so on and so on till someone could shoot. This was the plan and of course he should have told her but this needed quick action. He waved at her and pointed in front of him, trying to tell her to get ahead. Stuff it! he thought and through the quaffle ahead of himself.

Andie was watching Russell and saw an expression on his face that she recognized very well, it was the exact same look she often had on her face when she was planning something that was bound to get her in trouble. She flew up to Russell until she was right next to his ear. "What are you up to?" she whispered in his ear.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw some movement between the chasers, but assumed they were still just volleying the ball back and forth. That was until she saw Andie dart that way too. The entire team, save herself, were in a formation heading her way. She let out a laugh. She had let herself get so distracted watching Andie's seeking skills that she had almost lost track of the fact that at some point the chasers were going to try and scare against her.

She tilted her broom a bit, watching Rus' movements carefully... what was he doing? Throwing the ball out in thin air like that?! He was mad! 'Then again, would I have really let him on the team if he weren't,' she thought with a smirk. 'Well, here we go then...' she readied herself, making sure she was sitting properly so she could dive if she needed to, then waited. She was going to have to be ready for whatever crazy plan Russell had up his sleeve.

The snitch, quite irritated at being caught so easily, hid itself in a bunch of underbrush between one set of bleachers

[Loren Hayes]

A cunning smile had spread across Loren's face at the prospect of Russell's daring, and allowing him to move ahead she tailed him, watching carefully for the execution of his mysterious plan. For a moment Andie cut her off, flying close to the chaser and whispering in his ear, but quickly turned off at the sight of the snitch.

Briefly Russell had peered over his shoulder, and Loren had taken it as a signal to speed up. Just as she leveled with him, her torso pressed tight to her broomstick hand to fight the wind resistance, Russell lobbed the quaffle with a strong momentum ahead of himself. 'So that's what you're up to!' Loren laughed appraisingly as she rocketed ahead of him, clasping the quaffle as she reached it.

Without hesitation she stretched her arm back and flung the quaffle to the right, shifting out of the way slightly so that Russell had a clear path to catch up with it once more.

'Quick,' was the only thing that came to her mind when she saw how efficiently Loren had caught up to the quaffle, and how immedeatly she had thrown it on again as she and Russell quickly shortened the gap between themselves and the goal posts. They were a good pair indeed. She'd have to think up some new plays for them and their insane amount of synchronicity. It would do them quite well during matches she was sure.

Andie looked on in admiration at the rest of the team while at the same time scanning for the snitch, wait... was that it? Andie saw a flash of gold hidden in some bushes. Yes! I've got you now! thought Andie as she darted off towards the snitch.

[Helia Ollivander]

It pulled out of the bushes, then began making long quick jumps all over the pitch to throw off its pursuer, finally stalling for a moment in front of one of the hufflepuff stands.

Andie watched the snitch make long jumps all over the filed, she knew it was trying to throw her off, but luckily Andie was unfazed. Then, the snitch stopped in front of one of the Hufflepuff stands, Andie zoomed toward it, her hand stretched out to grab it. C'mon, c'mon... a little closer.... almost got it... yes! got it! Andie grabbed the snitch with the tips of her fingers. "Oh yeah!" she cried doing a little victory dance on her broom.
