Keifer shrugged, he didnt mind who went where, then he had a thought. "We could explore whilst looking for things to help Helia" he suggested.

"Sounds like a plan," she said, now in a much more cheerful mood than she had been. Work was a lot less work with friends around. She lit her wand with 'lumos' and said, "So, have you got any idea as to where we're exploring? Or are we simply wandering aimlessly until we find something that catches our interest?"

"Simply wandering... and uh... you might wanna put that out" He said, indicating the light, he wanted to attract as little as possible attention wise. It wasnt about something creeping up on them all.

'Well what are we damn well looking for?' Thom asked frustratedly, swatting branches from his face in a frenzy. He did not like anything right now. The forest was windless and eerily silent, his feet were cold and the light spells everyone was casting were barely reached past the ends of their noses.

She shrugged, "Nox." The light went out and she turned to Thom, "I'm looking for fallen branches and any animal cast offs, hair, scales, stingers, teeth. Things like that. Since it's shedding season for some animals it shouldn't be too hard to find some suitable stuff." She looked at Keifer, "Well, since you're apparently the ring leader here, hows abouts you leading the way as we wander?"

"Not waiting for anything" He said, he looked towards Zach and said "If you feel like following us, you can do.. Im the only one here that bites" He turned to the forest and ducked through a thick bush. Scraping his face on a thorn he wiped a trickle of blood away. "Not even started and already im injured"

Thom struggled off through the trees, wobbling and tripping over fallen branches and clumps of weeds. He looked as though he were doing some demented yet graceful dance, throwing his arms out and twisting from side to side. 'And how are we going to see anything as small as stingers and hairs with no light?' he asked Keifer. 'Why are any of us even here at night? When was the last time any of us thought to come here during the day?' Thom realised he was complaining too much.

"Will you stop complaining! You sound like my grandma" He said to Thom. "And sure.. lets have light... and a million nastys whizzing down on us in an instand.. God Thom you can be thick" Keifer mumbled as he cut through some more bushes, landing in a bit of mud.

Thom growled. 'Oh - and because that is so much worse than being slapped by tree branches and falling about in mud and brambles.' he replied tartily. Having had just about enough, the Hufflepuff whipped his wand from his robes and bellowed 'LUMOS!' at the top of his voice. Blinding light was thrown out in all directions, Thom's fury seemingly intensifying it. 'Lets see what comes, shall we?!' he shouted.

"You two bickering will draw more nasty's than Thom's little bit of light," she hissed under her breath. "Gracious, it's like you two don't even pay attention in class." she rolled her eyes and pushed past them both, continuing on past a pair of magnolia trees and into a thicket of brambles, "Protego," she said. A small red orb surrounded her and she passed through the bush unharmed. "Will you three hurry up? We'll never see anything with the snails pace you're taking," she said as she stuck her head back through the bush to stare at the three boys.

Thom glowered at Helia as she stormed past. Even the smallest of noises would attract creatures - if anything a bright light would keep them away. Thom was sure that if it were not for him, whatever was watching would have probably been upon them. Feeling unappreciated, he ignored Helia and raged off towards a ditch to see if there was anything in it.

Zachary had listened to the older students with wide-eyes, not daring to say a word. He never liked to talk to those out of Slytherin in the first place, and he noticed with a grimace that none of the three students were in his house. He would have declined Keifer's offer, considering the company, if he knew how to get back. But turning around, walking through the forest alone seemed more frightening than following a bunch of bickering adults, who probably knew more than enough spells to ward anything dangerous away.
As he followed them, he immediately scowled and took back ever calling them adults. The boys argued as if they weren't already qualified wizards, and the girl seemed as mischievous as a student. They hardly looked as if they could protect themselves, much less him.
He was proven wrong when Helia cast a shield around herself, and quickly hurried forward to follow them once again. "I'm not going to look for any stingers," he finally said grumpily, stalking behind them.

Thom looked behind him as he stepped down into the ditch, years and years of built up leaves immediately swallowing his feet as he began to wade through them, wondering when his toes would hit something of use for Helia. He would certainly know if he came across a stinger. 'You can go back if you want,' Thom said to the disgruntled looking Slytherin boy. 'Or can't you take care of yourself?' he turned away, smirking, and bent down to dig through the rotting vegitation with his free hand.

Zachary stared at the Hufflepuff indignantly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Of course, I can. I'm here to make sure you three don't get into trouble- I'm just that caring, you see." He said, his voice moving to it's sarcastic drawl. Noticing the boy digging through something, he made a face, before walking up behind him.
"Eugh, they're rotting. There's probably all sorts of disgusting bugs in there." He looked away, his eyes squeezed shut, before he noticed a slimy substance on the floor. Bending down slightly to examin it, he immediately let out a surprised yelp, before stumbling back. "There's --- There's ---"
He scampered away, moving close the to the Ravenclaw boy. "it's DUNG." His face had grown pale, nearly green. "Stupid full moons. I bet it was a stupid Mooncalf..." He muttered, though somewhat curious. He knew it had many magical properties, but he couldn't even get a little close to it. It was dung after all.

She smirked at the Slytherin boy who claimed to be there for their own protection and to keep them out of trouble, "Head girl, and you are?" she shook her head. "Never mind, doesn't matter. Here's a rag," she said handing him a hankerchief out of her ocersized bookbag to wipe his hands of the moon calf dung. "I wonder if there are any moon calves still near..." she wondered aloud, but shrugged off the thought and merely waited for the gorup to collect themselves.
