Keifer decided enough was enough and he was going to explore this forest before he left for good. It was one on his many to do lists. Nothing was going to deter him this time... So long as something in their didnt want to eat him that is. No matter how much he tried to tell himself he wasnt a tasty meal... That didnt stop things wanting to try.
On the edge of the forest, he looked in. The darkness beyond seemed to loom in an unforgiving mannor. Something in his head was telling him not to be foolish and to go back to the safety of the castle, but his more curious and arrogant side was urging him on. For some reason, he listened to that one.
Putting one foot in front of the other, Keifer set off at a brisk pace. Holding tightly to his new wand that he bought at Helia's, he entered the darkness that was the forest. Slowing his pace as he edged further and further into the trees that bent and twisted in anyway they seemed to wish, he began to feel like he was being watched. He stopped and looked around, not seeing anything he carried on forward, completley missing the clearing he usually came to, he found himself hidden deep within the looming forest itself, far away from the castle and the people that resided there.
(got bored of explore so i changed the name.. for anyone who wanted to know)

Zachary's gaze travelled across the trees, and he bit his lip. He wasn't afraid, just... Nervous... Yes, that was it. Nervous. He hadn't been in the forest many times, but he had been walking around the grounds when a bright lantern shone from a few meters away and he had taken refuge in the only place possible.
Shoving a few branches away, trying to ingore the fact that they snagged onto him, as if pulling him closer, he continued to walk into the trees, hoping to find his way out soon. Almost tripping on a slimey branch, he heard a rustle in the leaves, and turned his wand to point at the general direction the noise came from. "Who's there?" He called, a small tremor in his voice.

'You mom,' said someone very close by.
Thom smirked only for a moment. He had seen Keifer up at the castle walking towards the forest, and he had been overcome with mystery. Not a few weeks ago had Thom and Keifer been sport for a fleet of murderous wands who had chased them in here only to meet a pack of ravenous lethifolds. He could not understand why Keifer had come here. Was he over it already?
Walking past the Slytherin boy who had followed in through one of the easier entrances into the forest, Thom walked towards Keifer, snapping branches loudly under his feet. 'You said you were still afraid.' he said blunty as he reached his friend. 'Why didn't you tell me you were coming back? We could have done it together.'

His heart sped up as a voice close to him responded, but he immediately scowled when realizing what it said. Casting a quick Lumos, he watched as a smirking Hufflepuff walked right passed him, and it was then he noticed there was yet another presence in the forest.
Again? He thought to himself, standing still for a moment as he watched them. Then noticing their retreating figures growing smaller, and finally admitting his fear, he ran up to them. There was safety in numbers after all... Even if the numbers included a Hufflepuff, "Wait up!" He called, stumbling over a large tree root.

Thom held onto a branch for support as he mounted a thick fallen trunk, and watched the stressed looking Slytherin dart up to join them. The three of them were only about a hundred yards inside, but the gloominess was already pressing down on their heads and sides. Beyond the trees it was summer, but in here it was a foggy winter twilight. Thom shivered, looking hard into the trees for signs of movement. 'Why do we keep coming here? It's horrible.'

Zachary walked quietly behind them. He'd have complained a bit, asked a few more questions, but they both looked to be older. Adults. He made a face and continued to trail behind them, listening. Then, finally, something they said caught his attention and he couldn't help but blurt out, "You've been here before? Alone?" The only times he'd been in the forest was on odd care of magical creatures lesson or detention.

Thom smiled at Zack moodily. 'It's a long story. We got chased in here by a bunch of wands...' he paused, wondering if he should tell the other boy about all the lethifolds that could still be in here. Thom had no doubt Zack knew of all the other creatures that lived in the forest. Surly lethifolds were not the most dangerous? Thom persnally considered giant spiders, werewolves and vampires a lot worse - but lethifolds were silent, black hunters...
'It's just not too fun in here.' he said at last. 'You're the boy from by the hourglasses earlier, aren't you?'

Zach listened to them intently, before breaking into a look of disbelief, though in his eyes was a mocking look. "A bunch wands?" He repated, "I should think there are far more dangerous things in her than... wands." He raised an eyebrow, before the hourglass was mentioned, and scowled.
"Oh, you mean when that great git Addis took away our points? Yeah, I was the one." He seemed to have muttered something about a backfiring plan, before continuing to walk along.

Thom glared, his cheeks burning profusely. 'Hey, they were savage wands - and there were loads! They wanted to hurt us, didn't they, Keifer?' Thom looked at the Ravenclaw for support. 'If you were attacked my hundreds and sharp wands you'd run too!' he was feeling very hot under the collar now, and strode forward a little faster into the trees, momentarily forgetting that he was afraid.
'And I didn't take your stupid points. Don't be bitter at me.' he spat, although he understood Zack's frustration. Hufflepuff had also suffered at the hands of teachers who did not want them to win...

Zachary only frowned, his lips forming a small pout, before he scowled. "I've never heard of wands attacking by the hundreds." He said airily, though he did vaguely remember rumors running around about it last term. He also didn't mention that he'd be terrified if it ever happened to him. "They're only a bunch of wands, what's the worst they can do without someone steering them?" He said as confidently as he could, having to walk faster to catch up with the taller boy.
"And I'm not bitter," he said nonchalantly. Well, he was just a little, but he didn't lash out those feelings. Instead, Slytherins plotted revenge.

'They took out Keifer...' Thom muttered childishly, saying it quietly in case Keifer did not want him to reveal anything. The Ravenclaw did not like to talk about it at all.
The sunshine and sweeping lawns of Hogwarts had completely vanished out of sight now, and Thom looked back nonplused at the way they had just came. The air was silently and windless, only mist hanging thickly around their feet. 'Where are we going anyway? Isn't it a full moon later?'
Thom hoped werewovles like Slytherins more than Hufflepuffs.

Keifer had been leaning against the tree, listeneing to Thom and the slytherin boy. "Yes they took me out.. why not sky write it?" he snapped, he didnt want to think about it and it made him touchy all the time, no matter what he was doing.
Looking at Thom and Zach he said "So we going to explore this place sometime before old age?"

"...Always more wands to make... never enough material... always more customers... never enough time..." muttered Helia bitterly as she stalked through the forest. "Only good thing about being Head Girl is that I get first choice of rounds..." she sighed, pulling her dark blue cloak tighter around her as she closed her eyes, trying to calm her frenzy. She listened to the nightly sounds of the forest; owls hooting, crickets chirping, bugs buzzing about, voices talking... 'Voices?' her eyes shot open and she grimaced. She made her way through the underbrush towards whoever it was that had decided to break the rules and come prancing into the forest to wreak who knows what kind of havoc... "Keifer! Thom!" she beamed as she finally met the figures belonging to the voices. "You know you really aren't supposed to be out here..." she said in a mock-authoritative tone. "Shame on you. Shame shame, as punishment you must help me find wand making supplies," she smiled, then noticed another figure nearby, bedecked in slytherin robes. "Um, hi. I'm Helia," she said, offering her hand in greeting.

Keifer jumped at the sound of Helia, not expecting her he spun around. Feeling slightly disorientated he gave a weak smile thinking she was going to throw them in detention and ruin Keifer's good-boy-streak. "Uh.. Okay" he said "Ill help.. but first! The exploration must begin!" He looked to the three of them, thinking what a little team they had.

Thom laughed at Helia appeared. 'Why don't we just send up a signal for the whole of Hogwarts to join us, eh?' I'm sure we could make two good teams of thirty, one for Keifer's jaunt and the other to help you, Helia.' he winked. He was certainly feeling a lot better now that more people arrived. Safty in numbers and all that. The darkness no longer seemed to imposing.
