(ooc Perry is too scared to notice! And of course you'll be good at hiding too!) Perry gulped loudly at Jac's solemn and forboding words, he was scared enough without her making matters worse. "No I am not scared!" he said stubbornly but the wavering in his voice was easy to detect. He quickly trotted behind Jac not wanting to fall behind, just in case he took out his wand though, not sure what he'd be able to do if anything did happen.

Jac looked down at Perry's wand and began to laugh. "You gonna be any good with that if a werewolf jumped out at us or anything?" She smacked her hand onto his shoulder and looked at him, her grey eyes shining in the eerie light. "You shoot me, I will inflict much pain upon your sorry arse! Ya hear?" She continued walking.
She hopped over a fallen log then checked behind her for Perry. She dusted off the dirt off her hands and thought that even though she barely knew him, she felt responsible for him. She was weird that way, well at least she thought so. "Hurry up!" she said as she saw the top of his head.

Perry cursed rather too audibly as Jac berated him, "yap yap yap," he imitated. "you're just like my ruddy sister you are," he snarled, his pride was hurt he liked to think he would be able to handle himself in a dangerous situation, he knew a few good spells. "I'd have a go," he mumbled with a groan as Jac ran off like a lunatic ahead, but at least she was another person, no matter how annoying she was. "I'm hurrying," he grumbled racing to catch up, and tripping over a fallen log, he landed with a loud yell "bloody hell," into a pile of mud and leaves. "You could a bloody tol' me you...idiot!" he shouted pulling himself from the mud and glaring fiercely down at his dirty robes, his sister would get him for this, he thought with a sigh. Stumbling to his feet and catching the laughing Jac he muttered "where the hell are you leadin me anyways? Into a bloody pile of trouble I shouldn't wonder, n' not the trouble I like neither," he moaned.

Jac held a hand to her mouth to hid her smile but her had seen it so Jac openly laughed. "You really crack me up Perry! Really! If you feel that strongly about it, then you can lead, you can pick your way into the Forbidden Forest and show me where to ruddy well go! Go on! Go on! Mr Leader man! Go on!" She waved her arms at him to take the lead.

The realisation of what Jac said hit Perry like a flood, "ya what? M-me le-lead," he stuttered incredulously, where the hell would we go? he wondered I'm lost already He visibly took a hold of himself, sure i can do this he thought, "Piece o' cake foller me," he plunged off into the forest setting a quick pace becuase he knew that if he stopped he wouldn't start moving off again, Jac's at my back, there's no lead to look back, she'll protect me, I mean I'll protect her, take the lead. He had no idea where he was rushing off to and just hoped Jac would be following closely behind.

So the boys biggest fear is being alone and lost?[/b] Jerred thought to himself as he continued to follow the Gryffindors. He had a smug smile on his face as he knew exactly where the two were headed, straight into the deepest part of the forest where werewolves usually prowled. It was then that Jerred saw a patch of silvery light to his left in a gap amongst the tree branches.
With a fearful look on his face, Jerred had forgotten that it was the first full moon of the month. His mind immediately jumped to several bad conclusions, causing him to run off ahead of the Gryffindors.
Jerred ran in the shadows ahead of the two Gryffindors, stopping several metres in front of the pair. Jerred felt a cold wind run across his face, fear wafting on it. Jerred looked sullenly downwards, then when he heard the Gryffindor boy approach, Jerred leapt out in front of him.
'Not this way you fool! It's a full moon tonight! And what happens to werewolves on a full moon!?' Jerred said, before anyone could react.

Perry sluched along moodily, he had expected this to be fun, not downright scary. But he tried to hide his fear and Jac didn't seem to notice, too much anyway. With Jac following closely behind Perry was beginning to feel more confident, this isn't too bad he thought, when all of a sudden something jumped in front of him, Perry screamed and ran to hide behind Jac, quivering all over. Struggling to get his breath back he realised it was just a boy, (little did he know!). "What the hell did you do that for!" he roared, as the words the boy had spoken gradually sunk in. "Pah, there aren't no werewolves, it's just a...fairytale to try n' keep us out of 'ere," he said firmly trying to regather his confidence.

Jac was having a delightful time, knowing full well where Perry was going: into the werewolves hunting ground. She was smiling smugly and fingering her wands in her hands, which were clasped together behind her back.
She silver blue hair shimmered in the moon light and she noticed, between the branches of the trees, the full moon. Her smile faded. She knew that a full moon could only mean trouble of the worst kind for the two of them. After all, she thought, we are only school kids and I'm not sure that Perry will be any help if anything jumps out at us.
As though her having thought it, something did. It spoke to them other thoughts she had had. Perry shrieked like she would have expected a girl to and hid behind her. "Perry," Jac whispered shirley, lifting an arm and glaring at him under it, "what the ... do you have no common sense? We are in the Forbidden Forest, squealed any louder and everyone in the castle shouldn't struggle to hear you!"
She dropped her arm and rounded on the new comer, frowning. "And you!" she thundered, "what do you think you're doing, jumping out at people like that!" Then Jac contained her surprise and relaxed. "Thank you for your warning, though," she said kindly, "much obliged! Honest, but this is not the way we are going." Jac shot a gallant smile at Perry quickly, then continued, "We are actually going that way-" she lifted a hand to below her chin an tapped it, pointing to the right "-and if you'd like to join us, we'd be most honoured by such a knowledgeable man such as yourself."

Jerred had to laugh at the Gryffindor's reactions, both of them. He shrugged smugly and shook his head. 'Only safe place in here at this time of the night is the trees, mind you not exactly that safe up there if you manage to find a werewolf that can climb trees.' Jerred said, gradually lowering his voice to barely above a whisper. 'As for joining you two, I've done my part, and I will take no part in a Gryffindor getting harmed. I just warned ya, both of you, so continue if you wish, not... my fault.' Jerred turned and ran into the darkness, heading away from the spot they were in. With a sudden leap, he was in a tree and just above their heads. With a grimace, Jerred turned to see what the Gryffindors would do next.

Jac stared after the slytherin in awe. After the boy had disappeared into the darkness, she cocked her head and whispered to Perry, "not like slytherin's to turn down a challenge, ey?" She chuckled loudly to herself and turned in the direction she had pointed to.
"Well," she told Perry and spoke even more loudly so the spying slytherin would hear too, "we're almost there and it's hardly dangerous so let's get going then!" She walked away, smiling, and hummed to herself.

Perry continually found himself cursing under his breath, which proved he was quite terrified of the Forest and being surrounded by idiots didn't help. Thankfully, the quite frankly scary Slytherin had run off again, why Jac had wanted him to join them he couldn't figure, but begrudgingly he admitted "nah tain't like 'em to miss' us being battered." Glaring fiercely at Jac he said "why the hell 'ave you got such insane courage? Ye're just...plain...stupid." But not wanting to be left behind he followed Jac closely, figuring it might be safer with her, rather than being totally alone.

Jac smiled and shook her head. Abruptly she stopped and faced the frightened boy. "Look," she began, "if you don't want to be hear, you can leave, go! Go back to the common room and snuggle up in your nice warm bed and forget this ever happened. But I can tell you one thing-" she shook her forefinger in his face "-your a heck of a lot safer with me then out there-" she pointed to her left "-with nothing but a shaky hand and a paranoid mind."
She dropped her arms and straightened up. "So ... if you don't mind, will you please shut up! If you don't then you might miss them and that would totally ruin the whole point of coming here." She looked Perry up and down and smiled widely. "And yes," she said, "courage is my middle name, hence the fact that I'm in Gryffindor, and you should buck up lad! Won't get far without courage!"
