Amanda rolled her eyes. "Since when does a bout of insanity not hit you?" she teased her friend, then turned to Girty, "So you really think my playing will make Mort shut up? Cause I highly doubt it."

"Oh, it'll make him hush up alright," Rakki shuffled her feet for a second before deciding to sit down. "And while he's quiet, he'll be wondering if his ears still work properly. What, with you sounding like a dead cow and all." She flashed Amanda a smile. "And for your information, insanity doesn't strike while I'm in the shower."

Caleb laughed at the reaction Fernand had on Mort. He was about to speak up, but when Girty came into the picture he silenced himself immdieately. He gave her a nod, remembering the storeis his brother told of the students at hogwarts before his death. His death was still a mystery to Caleb but it no longer troubled him as it did. He turned to the Ravenclaw, "Ah Hello Loren! Nice to see you outside of potions class. What brings you to the lake?"

Amanda glared at her friend. "Don't you ever shut up? And yes, insanity does too strike when you're in the shower cause you are insane! Now either be useful or shut up!" she stuck her tongue out childishly.

"Amanda!" Caleb shouted in mock seriousness. "Thats enough! Any more and I will have to deduct points for sounding like a dying cow!" and Caleb leaned back against a tree.

Amanda glared at Rakki. "Tattletale!" she retorted, then turned to the professor with an evil, yet playful grin. "Oh really? Maybe if I scare you, you'll forget? And I do not sound like a dying cow!" she crouched as if to spring, her lips curled back over her teeth, and a feral, yet playful snarl rippped from her throat. Then, just as suddenly as she had crouched she was standing straight up and grinning cheekily at the professor.

Caleb gave a laugh. "So you think you could scare me? Heh thats a good one! Try this one on for size!" and Caleb concentrated on the Animagus teachings he got when he was on school. He closed his eyes and felt his teeth grow, his body grow rippling fur, his fingernails form into razar sharp claws. He was completely Lion. He acted like he was getting ready pounce, his fangs bared, and he let out a mighty roar, and changed back. He started laughing even harder. "You make a pretty good lion Amanda. But next time try something a little more scary."

Amanda smirked. "Okay." she replied. She hadn't told anyone that her mother had been training her as an Animagus over the summer. She closed her eyes and pictured her animal.Gold fur with black stripes began to cover her, her fingers turned into deadly claws. Her eyes changed from hazel to gold, and her teeth to razor sharp canines. When she finished she was a full grown Bengal Tiger or as the Latin name said Panthera tigris tigris, the biggest of the big cats. She crouched, her tail whipping back and forth. A feral snarl ripped from her throat once more. She could've changed back, but decided that she liked being in tiger form too much and began to play.

Caleb clapped. "Well, well, well. A first year anigamus. What a gift. Not that impressive of an animal though. Not nearly as impressive as my lion." Caleb said, egging her on.

"Dude!" Rakki looked over at Caleb with wide eyes. "You can turn into a lion? Sweet!" She paied no mind to Amanda-now-turned-tiger as her eyes went all googly. "I wish I could do that." She said dreamily, thinking about all the fun things she could do as a big cat.

At the professor's reaction, Amanda transformed back into a human, and snorted. "Please, anyone who knows anything about science and biology would know that the Siberian Tiger is the biggest of the big cats. And possibly one of the most dangerous as well seeing as it is one of the few cat species that actually enjoys water." she paused, "And it's also considered to be one of the most beautiful. Actually, I'm working on a second animagus form (can you do that? not sure) but I haven't quite gotten it yet."

"Erm," She snapped out of her daze and looked off in a random direction sheepishly, innocently twiddling her fingers. "You haven't seen me because... I can blend with my surroundings?" She'd been rather cautious with potions since her first year when she accidentally poured too much of some powder in her cauldron and it--for lack of better words--went 'boom!', scaring her senseless. As a result, she did have the tendency to 'forget' she had class.
