Loren took the bag and it's contents from Dax, hooking it over her shoulder so that she could dive with it. Dax cast a bubblehead charm on the two of them, and immediately cold clean air began to circulate her head in a transparent sphere that distorted everything in sight. Out of habit Loren took a breath before ducking down and tilting upside down, kicking until she had gained a decent momentum. It was much easier now that she was not on a limited supply of air, and so she relaxed, enjoying the cool weightlessness surrounding her.
She watched Dax ten feet below her, silently making his way toward the lake bed. Although he was greatly weighted down by his robes he was quite a powerful swimmer, and Loren found herself watching him unblinking, few thoughts apart from his pale limbs drifting through her head.
The Ravenclaw was soon snapped back to reality when a forest of water plants and weeds appeared below them, lurking through the green and grey gloom. They swayed slowly from side to side in unison, arching in the gentle current. Loren peered down into the shadows, flinching at spooky looking rocks or the movement of lonely fish. Quickly she caught up with Dax and signaled for him to start searching for her wand...

Dax swam deeper and deeper looking around, slowly the gloom grew deeper and Dax found it hard to see. Spinning around he looked for Loren and smiled. As he noticed that Lorne was pointing down he nodded his head and pulled out his wand. With a flick of the wrist the wand produced a bema of light and lit up a small space around them.
Dax swam up to by Loren and pointed downward and with a kick of his feet he swam deeper and deeper into the gloom leaving Lorne behind. The weeds and plant life became thinker and made it harder to move. Pieces of weed tangled around his ankles and his wrists making him almost lose grip of his wand. Groaning as he tugged on the weeds Dax tried to talk to Loren so ask where she had dropt her wand but it turned out to be a mummer, which was soon lost in the deep water.

Loren tried to make out what Dax was saying, but all that reached her was a muffled thumping as the sound bounced off the inside of his bubble. She shrugged, holding up her hands with an apologetic grin.
Dax seemed to be having trouble keeping the mischievous weeds as bay, and so she drifted forward and gently began to unwind the slippery vegetation from his ankles and wrists. It was then that she noticed - through the swaying trees if green - a small clearing where the muddy lake bed was exposed. She grinned happily when she saw the rat tail-like strands of gillyweed poking through the cracks of rocks. Grabbing hold of Dax's hand, she quickly began to kick her feet, dragging him along with her excitedly.

Dax could not help but smile as Loren helped him be free of the weeds and when she took hold of his hand his heart gave a sudden jolt. Trying to ignore this he helped propel Loren and himself along however he did not want to let go of her hand.
As they swam closer to the clearing Dax noticed what Loren was looking for. Strands of gillyweed were poking out from the rocks. Swimming closer Dax moved his wand around letting light fill the darkness around him. As he broke away from Loren he moved closer and was about to pull up a stand when a little pair of eyes appeared form behind the rock. Swimming back slowly Dax saw more of these appear, he tired to find Loren not moving his eyes off the first pair that appeared.
He took hold of Loren’s arm and squeezed it tightly. He did not want to let on that he was scared of a few fish but he knew he would find it hard to hide it from Loren.

Loren had begun to pluck the looser strands of gillyweed from the rocks when she felt Dax take hold of her arm a little tighter than necessary. She looked at him with questioning eyes, but found that he was not looking at her. Instead he was eying a long fish with an eerie stare. She giggled in her bubble, realising it must have appeared quick suddenly and startled him. Loren understood his nerves however. The lake bed was incredibly macabre and spooky, and she found herself looking over her shoulder, carefully checking the shadows for anything larger than herself.
The gillyweed in her hands had formed itself into a neat little rubbery ball, and she decided it was enough. Slipping her bag from her shoulder she began to undo it so as to put her findings inside.
'Have you seen my wand yet?' She asked anxiously, forgetting he could not hear her. Dax still looked rather paranoid of the fish, and she giggled, finding it cute.

Dax watched the fish carefully as it got closer to him. Creatures of the deep always scared Dax, ever since he was a small child he feared squids and creatures who were able to fit his head inside its jaw. Even though this fish was relatively small, in fact it was no bigger then his wand, he still thought it could be an evil minion of the giant squid.
Letting go of Loren’s arm Dax started to jab his wand in the direction of the fish hoping it would be scared off by the light. However it only made it more interested and swam closer. Panicking he swam around to behind Loren hoping it might notice it was out numbered.
As he looked up he noticed Loren had a smile on her face, most likely laughing at Dax being scared of the fish. He tried to laugh about it only to see yet more fish appear around them making Dax panic even more. He was not the bravest of people, he always joked that was the reason why he was in Hufflepuff and not Gryffindor.
